Mercy Necromancy 12" pre-order

Well holy shit, CanaDave is in heaven because his Softseed Music label is releasing Mercy Necromancy for the first time…on vinyl! The 12” pre-order for ‘Fallen’ just went up so please go snag that if minimal/ethereal goth with the most gorgeous of vocals. For fans of: Nicole Dollanganger, Ethel Cain, Grouper, Cozy St. Jean, etc. 12”s should be in hand March 2026.

CanaDave’s SkramzCave closes at midnight tonight PST, but just a heads up if you already scoped - a buncha new stuff was added to the “miscellaneous page” if you wanna check it before finishing up at my place. Hetta tapes are all finished! The US box heads out today so if you ordered from there they’ll be shipping mid-December but all other orders will go out this week. And just a heads up, we ended up with an extra copy so there’s now an /1 white variant!!! Truly like a scalpel to the brain, this shit will fuck you up.

ZBR Fest 2026 is already nearly complete. We’ve got 20 bands already confirmed with the final round having until this week to let us know if they can play. It’s going down May 1st (pre-show) in Victoria on Vancouver Island, then May 2nd and 3rd (day 1 + day 2) in Vancouver on the mainland. Please note that cities are confusing here and Victoria and Vancouver are about 3 hours apart via a ferry, so if you plan on attending the pre-show and the main fest you should book some place to stay in or around Victoria or you’ll get stranded as the ferries close by the time the pre-show ends. We’ll start revealing bands in January!

Emma Goldman and Blue Youth made the Best Album Covers of 2025 by Cups’n’Cakes Pod. What was your favourite? Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to Stormlight! I thought we were mad outta these tapes but I just found one more and it’s the best variant (gas swirl) on our Bandcamp page. 2025 - 11 - 28 /// CanaDave's SkramzCave tomorrow, Sine Nomine now!

After nearly 22 hours of work CanaDave’s SkramzCave finally goes live tomorrow at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. This is comprised of a vast number of personal items that I just don’t need anymore and would live better lives in homes that have the space and time to appreciate them. A few more key items are pictured in the gallery below, but the two product tabs will house about 300 products!!! Oh, and remember to check back on Monday for the Mercy Necromancy reveal!

Sine Nomine’s first release in a decade is out and ‘The Sunder Veil’ is a fucking trip. Whether it be the unsettling noise, massive riffs, unhinged vocals, or almost Helmet-esque dabbling in grunge/noise rock, something here is sure to pique your interest. For fans of Eyes, Deftones, (early) Blcklstrs, etc.

The Mourn Recif x A Recorded Dawn split (also known around here as the ‘Josh split’) was released yesterday with the cds arriving today! Please take a listen and if you like what you hear snag a copy, as ZBR only has 25! Vancouver Island pinball skramz, baby.

Next up is the Demersal self-titled 12”EP releasing this Friday on Tomb Tree! Pre-orders will be going up, should ship in November.

Mourn Recif got a nice write-up from the always reliable This Noise Is Ours. The band is playing with A Recorded Dawn and Coup D’etat on October 24th in Victoria, making it essentially a triple-ZBR release show! Click on the pic above or this text for the review, jam/buy the EP tapes below.

Nuvolascura continues to embrace all that love they’re getting for a groundbreaking third full length ‘How This All Ends’. Our final copies are up in the stores, get’em or forever hold your peace. That being said, we’ve got another run of cds coming in a jewel case instead of dvd case. Lastly, above is a great interview with the band and below is the album with links and whatnot.

Operation X-Ray ran with a record-tying four band on this episode, including the premiere of “Twelves” by Mourn Recif, a couple of Abandoncy jams, Athousandangelsandseven cuz of dem 7”s, and a new Demersal jam which comes out in full on Friday!!!

The Names Of Our Friends lived up to the hype and tore through their set with abandon. We were lucky enough to snag some 10”s of that beast, too. 2025 - 06 - 27 /// Mourn Recif is out, Coup D'etat 2nd run next!

Hey y’all the Mourn Recif cassette EP release went down two days back, so if you missed please check out those first three songs by the band that CanaDave is in. Release show with Emma Goldman, Androgyne, and Internal Dialogue on Saturday July 5th at Oaklands Community Centre.

Coup D’etat has another pressing of cassettes, this being the 3rd overall and 2nd from Tomb Tree. Our first pressing sold out pretty quickly, and whatever we don’t sell the band will probably need cuz they move tons of merch at their shows. These go up on Monday July 30th and we’ve only got about 20 copies!

Nuvolascura released their first music video, and it’s for the closer of ‘How This All Ends’ which releases in full on July 8th, 2025 via Zegema Beach, Icorrupt, and the band. 300 merge and 200 half’n’half, pics incoming. The video was created by vocalist Erica. So good. Promo pics comin’ soon.

Mourn Recif is our next release which goes down on Wednesday June 25th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST via 104 tapes. 50 greens swirl, 30 white, 20 purple+black swirl, and 4 test dips w/matching swirl case. Jam a new song below in the Operation X-Ray episode embedded below!

The Poetry Of Torch x Gil Cerrone split cd was released last week and it’s a banger! Two new jams from each band. CDs ship in the next week or so! We only got 35 copies so don’t sleep on this.

Sininen (ex-Via Fondo) is putting out their debut EP on Tomb Tree and the first single is up! Awesome, dreamy, Swedish screamo.
