Lambgoat posted an interview with CanaDave. It’s pretty extensive without being overwhelming, and offers a lot of info about our history and evolution. Thanks to Natty for asking me to do this.

Stuntman’s new album ‘Maximum Legal Wage’ was released yesterday and we moved half the tapes in 24 hours. It’s a low run so snag’em now if you like it dirty, metallic, and angry.

Japan’s Poetry Of Torch and Australia’s Gil Cerrone split cds release next Monday June 16th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST! Two brand new tracks from each band. Our cds should arrive next week and US Dave is on tour anyways so they’ll go out before the month closes. Snag the last copies of Gil’s first and phenomenal debut below.

ZBR Fest 2024’s video is out and it’s fucking awesome. I heard VHS copies are going on sale soon…like 10 or something silly. Keep an eye out on our Instagram for more info on that.

Detach The Islands have finally released their new album ‘A Highly Magnified History’ on 105 tapes via Tomb Tree. This thing is fucking unhinged to the max, bizarre, and fucking genius. Pics of the tapes above, jam below. Remember that Bandcamp upped their cut so our copies there are 20% more expensive than our stores aka GO BUY THEM FROM OUR STORES AND NOT BANDCAMP!!! Mourn Recif has an upcoming Victoria show on August 24th. The lineup hasn’t been released yet but I can say it’ll be the best screamo show on Vancouver Island in the past while. In the meantime you can check out the show’s predecessor where Mourn Recif got to meet and play with a buncha sick bands including Coup D’Etat, All That Decays, Bathtub Autopsy, and Chopping Block. Ooooo baby we gotz those sexy Onewaymirror 7”s in last night! These go up for sale on Sunday July 14th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST! 200 merge, 200 pink, 100 black, 5 tests and another 5 botched tests that we’ll put up at cost.

Gil Cerrone’s ‘Consumer’ released in full today so you need to check that fire out and keep it contained before it burns everything down. 12”s should arrive and ship by the end of July.

Excrucis had a song premiere on OMSB today and by golly it’s some serious fire. You can jam “Ceasefire” from the Zampler below or click on this text/the picture above to hear the brand new song “Parasite”. Both come off of the band’s July 22nd release ‘There are Collectivities that Devour Souls’ releasing on 100 tapes through ZBR.

The Beats Per Minute blog posted a massive missed list of stuff they hadn’t reviewed from the first half of 2024 and there are some ZBR and Tomb Tree things floating around in there like Terry Green and Basque. CanaDave’s homies Hillsboro are releasing their new EP in late August with 25 tapes on Softseed and another version on their own label Play Dead. New music video below, and you can tell they’re getting a lot heavier! :)

2024 - 07 - 06 /// Spoiled almost sold out + Onewaymirror next

Spoiled’s ‘AV_Syndrome_0.1’ released yesterday and we’re already 75% sold out. Snag those last copies before they’re gone, as they likely won’t be repressed and if they are it won’t be for many years.

Onewaymirror is next, finished at the plant this past week and should be in hand a week or two after the digital release on July 8th. You can jam one of the five tracks on Zampler #23 embedded below, it’s titled “Fourth Song”. We did 500 copies over 3 variants plus 5 test presses with an additional 5 test presses with the wrong song order, so we’ll have some of those up for sale later July, as the records ship to us on Monday and we should be good to have them up either later this week or early the week after. Don’t worry we’ll be posting about it everywhere so just stay awake.

Gil Cerrone’s ‘Consumer’ should be in hand this month, with the full release going down July 12th on Tomb Tree. We’ve just added an extra song to the bandcamp page which you should check out immediately. Fucking slaps.

CanaDave’s Mourn Recif has a fucking banger of a show coming up in less than two weeks across on the mainland of Vancouver on July 18th with a buncha sick screamo bands that we’ve been following for years. So stoked. New videos from the Hillsboro and Bok Suna shows will be appearing on the (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))) blog later today and will be shared next news post.

Summer Skramz from MaxxIsntBored from youtube includes Our Future Is An Absolute Shadow, Mouthing, Massa Nera, and Annakarina. This video actually introduced me to Grimlitter which is sick af so thank you.

Hillsboro has a brand new EP coming out on Softseed Music in later August with some swirly tapes. The band just released a new song/music video “Fell” from said EP and it’s awesome. Like…dude, check it out. Duuuuuuude!!! Definitely not powerviolence.

First off, Terry Green 12”s are almost out! You wanna get one later this summer? Unlikely! You want one this fall? Ha! You want one before the end of the year? Not happening. We had over 200 copies and we’re already down to about 5-10 copies per variant per store. We love you Terry.

Gil Cerrone has a brand new song + pre-order for their upcoming 12”LP ‘Consumer’. This Australian band ripped Tomb Tree up with their ‘Coronach’ a few years back so we’ve all been eagerly anticipating this one and it doesn’t disappoint. 8 songs of fiery screamo release July 12th, 2024 on Tomb Tree, Cremation, and No Funeral but you can pre-order that sucka now and jam “Golden Age”.

‘I don’t watch sports anymore’ is the new Charger Port + Serling split 12” lathe comes out next Wednesday June 19th on Tomb Tree, Fisher King, and Soft Grit Recordings. You can jam a Charger Port exclusive jam on (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))) for their closing track “hey is for horse is”. Softseed Music is landing some pretty awesome stuff lately, with Spain’s Leavs joining Smush as heavy shoegaze artists. They just premiered their first song/music video from the upcoming album ‘Natura Universal’ that combines shoegaze with post-hardcore, dream pop, and indie rock which releases in full September 6th, 2024. We’ll have a couple a copies in the distro when it drops. This band features members of Tröpical Ice Land, Hurricäde, and Llacuna!!!

This Saturday is the Smush release show at Green Auto Body in Vancouver which Softseed Dave aka CanaDave will be attending (with some goodies) so please come out and show your support for the band! 12" pre-orders open at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST with the show happening at 7pm that night.

As mentioned we got that incredible pair of Animal Faces EPs releasing on one awesome 12” on Monday!!! US Dave is taking promo pics today so we’ll toss them up on Sunday with an additional reminder about the release. We made 100 12”s on eco-mix that release June 17th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST!
