First off, this is a final reminder that the US store 40% off sale aka the “Liqui-Dave-tion” sale that is automatically applied to all orders will be active until Sunday June 14th at 9pm EST / 11pm CST / 12pm EST. After this prices revert back to normal and once the US store moves to a new location, all prices will rise by a few bucks as US Dave did all this for free and ZBR USA’s new home requires us to do so - which makes the last few days of the sale even more financially helpful.

In addition, please be patient as US Dave is dealing with a ton of orders once he returns from an out-of-state trip, so some of these orders will take a while - but hey, ya got 40% off so you can give him a much-deserved breather.

Vancouver/Victoria band Hillsboro released ‘A Party in Your Name’ two weeks back and were recently interviewed by Punknews.org

2026 - 6 - 08 /// Zampler art submissions now open!!!

The big news from the past few days is that all upcoming Zamplers are open to art submissions! Starting right now you can go watch Starship Troopers (just the first one) and then check out the other Zampler covers and then cook up something sick that references the movie (and isn’t the same as a previous cover). Art submitted will be considered for the June 30th Zampler, with everything that isn’t chosen and comes after that date automatically will be considered for the next Zampler, and so on and so on as these things release every 6 months. You don’t need to include a Zampler # on the cover so just leave that open for when a # is chosen at a later date. You can email your submissions to zegemabeachrecords@gmail.com

And I feel the need to reiterate, all art MUST reference Starship Troopers or it doesn’t fit with the theme I’ve had going for more than 13 years. Jam #25 below with art from Jackson Schott!

I had Josh (A Recorded Dawn, Cadere, etc.) and Nima (Hillsboro, Wollruss) over to house for a Fest recap podcast as we reminisced about Vancouver’s 2026 ZBR Fest. Check it out above! I’ve included a few live videos below.

Cadere (formerly Mourn Recif) has two shows coming up with Ontario’s Constrain in Duncan this Friday and in Victora this Saturday. ZBR distro will be in hand. A teaser video of the band’s debut EP drops on Friday!

Following the Vancouver Island band’s new release ‘A Party in Your Name’ by my friends in Hillsboro, they also released a 13-minute video that acts as kind of a music video for a few jams. Very cool, artistic stuff! The tapes should finish this week and be in-hand next week. I also snagged some live videos from their Victoria release show that I’ll post next week.

Nhomme released one of the greatest and mind-bending EPs I’ve ever heard a few years back. Despite keeping mostly silent (but playing a few shows now and then) they’ve been pretty quiet, but Ryan from Meatcube recently completed an interview with them! Detach The Islands got a sick write-up from IYE which you should check out, then immediately jam the EP. Such a sick and diverse set of tracks. Last Friday Vancouver’s Hillsboro released their new album ‘A Party in Your Name’ via Softseed Music. The tapes are set to finish June 8th so they’ll be ready to ship and arrive by the end of June but you can pre-order them now! I only made 30 because at least one other label is doing tape runs too…but mine is the only one with sexy swirls, baby! An honest, eloquent and mature album from some super awesome people. Features members of Bok Suna, Wollruss, etc.

The Daves Era is coming to a close as US Dave is retiring from ZBR. There is zero bad blood, he just needs to focus on his family and his actual job so he’ll be hanging around for a bit. With that said, we are officially closing the US store, no date is determined yet but I think by the fall we’ll have our stock somewhere else. Good news for you is this Friday the US store is having a big sale, a Liqui-Dave-tion, if you will, to rid ourselves of additional shipping to a new location and to just move some stock in general. The % off will be pretty substantial so as of Friday at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST we’ll let you know what that’ll be and the discount will come off of your order automatically. Letterstoyou has their first three releases compiled onto one insane cassette titled ‘a shoebox of letterstoyou’ that just came out! Some variants are sold out but the ‘leaves swirl’ variant is fucking ace - that’s the one I kept.

I am stoked to announce that Sungaze’s ‘I’m No Longer Afraid of Heights’ has finally released! This full length is awesome and anyone who is enjoying the trajectory lock that Softseed Music is on will dig it hard. Dreamy shoegaze that brings the genre back in a time machine to the late 60s/70s and mixes the two!

This legendary compilation of Lafayette, Indiana’s USURP SYNAPSE’s early material is finally coming on vinyl over 20 years after it’s 2003 double-cd release. This cornerstone screamo band wrote and recorded a massive amount of tracks in a short time before going on a few lengthy hiatus/breakups but returned with a vengeance in late 2023. Their short, abrasive, and sassy take on hardcore put forth a confusing-as-all-hell blueprint that many bands attempted to resurrect but never quite replicated the unhinged assault that was Usurp. Knowing full well what an honor it is to help release this, we spared no expense and with T.J. Oslund at the helm, we knocked out a gatefold cover complete with 13 laser-cuts that reveal interchangeable inner sleeves. We limited the release to just 500 copies so act fast or forever miss out on this iconic release on vinyl (which was remastered by Josh Bonati, by the way) for the very first time. FYI this release does not include the extra songs on the Endless Breath release.

Emma Goldman’s breakout debut full length ‘all you are is we’ is back on 12”, this time on cornetto (transparent yellow w/red spokes) out of 200. The band has 50 for their upcoming Euro tour as well as another 50 for local shows, and we’ve got the other 100. In the top 10 ZBR releases ever, hands down.

Letterstoyou has their first three releases compiled onto one insane cassette titled ‘a shoebox of letterstoyou’ on May 25th but I’m putting up the leftover ZBR Fest 2026 variant tomorrow (that’s Friday May 22nd!) at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. There will be about 10 for sale in the US store and the Canada/International store.

Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to Respire ‘Gravity and Grace’ 12”LP first pressing on black /100 (aka the rarest of the vinyl variants from this release!). When I was variant collecting for my label I had up to six different variants of this release, and that’s just fucking stupid when you release 500+ things, so someone gets a time machine to 2014-2015 when we dropped this fucking masterpiece.
