First things first, 12 or so EU countries have a new tariff implemented but Canada Post hasn’t had time to prepare to charge for it (or something like that) so I cannot ship a few orders until the postal service catches up and fixes it. I might need to hit people up for a measly $3 or whatever the tariff ends up being, but you can just place another order if you want and I can refund your shipping (minus the tariff fee) if that’s easier. I’ll give you more news when I get it!

Second things…second I guess. I am going on vacation to see my family in Ontario from July 24th-August 3rd so obviously nothing will get shipped in the that timeframe, and hopefully the EU stuff is smoothed out by the time I get back.

Third things…fourth…right? I mean…The Names Of Our Friends x Poetry Of Torch split releases this Friday! It’ll go up at a stupid time (cuz I’ll be going to the airport at like 4am PST) so half the copies will go up on Bandcamp at that time and the rest will go up in this store at our regular 9am PST.

This early demo from the immortal Cali band mixes the softer/jazzy stuff from Iwrotehaikus with their later and heavier sound. I wicked snapshot in time. We bought these off Clue #2 Records a few months ago and they moved in a day, so we picked up another 50 copies and this is the only place to get’em!!! Hella rare/awesome find! Thanks Hieg <3

Constrain’s new EP ‘1999’ was released last week and I moved more than half of the cassettes already. The sassy metalcore is less sass and more metal than the previous EP but still intertwines them and hits like a fucking truck. The tapes arrive at my house next week and will start shipping in early August.

Hillsboro tapes for ‘A Party in Your Name’ are officially done and ready to ship! This album is a wicked collection of songs that fall somewhere in the indie/emo/shoegaze category and features my good bud Nima from Wollruss on vocals/guitar.

First off, this is a final reminder that the US store 40% off sale aka the “Liqui-Dave-tion” sale that is automatically applied to all orders will be active until Sunday June 14th at 9pm EST / 11pm CST / 12pm EST. After this prices revert back to normal and once the US store moves to a new location, all prices will rise by a few bucks as US Dave did all this for free and ZBR USA’s new home requires us to do so - which makes the last few days of the sale even more financially helpful.

Vancouver/Victoria band Hillsboro released ‘A Party in Your Name’ two weeks back and were recently interviewed by Punknews.org

Last Friday Vancouver’s Hillsboro released their new album ‘A Party in Your Name’ via Softseed Music. The tapes are set to finish June 8th so they’ll be ready to ship and arrive by the end of June but you can pre-order them now! I only made 30 because at least one other label is doing tape runs too…but mine is the only one with sexy swirls, baby! An honest, eloquent and mature album from some super awesome people. Features members of Bok Suna, Wollruss, etc.

Hello friends! We’ve got some huge changeups happening at ZBR as we lead into summer, and things will never be same. What’s the news? You’ll see, but we can definitely call it the next chapter of Zegema Beach Records.

Until then check out Orphan Donor and I.O. both of which released in the last week.

I.O. just released ‘The Beatniks Couldn’t Save The World’ which is Max from Wollruss and Pet Retina, and is an absolute beast of drummer. This release has him coupled with long-time collaborator JP who weaves an intricate web of poetry amidst the chaos. Truly incredible stuff! Tomb Tree made tapes for this but out of 200 copies we’ve only got 30 as this guy tour relentlessly…and is actually on tour right now!

I knew Fingerswoventogether were sick cuz their first EP was awesome but the new EP is phenomenal - but at ZBR Fest I puked my brain outta my mouth. Insane shit. So fucking good. Etc. Larry Records is out of the 10”, we’re down to less than 10 copies, and Severed Records should have some too.

On the most recent Operation X-Ray played new Orphan Donor and Fingerswoventogether, both of which are the two releases flying out of our stores so snag those soon or it’ll be too late.

2026 - 4 - 20 /// Nsixhundred released, Drive Your Plow cds on Friday

Nsixhundred current discography cassettes were released on Friday and promptly sold out. I didn’t have the paints I needed until the weekend, so the “mystery sofa swirl” simply wasn’t completed upon release, but I finished them over the weekend and just put up the last stock we had (about 6 backup copies) on Bandcamp. Their bombastic, chaotic, and screamy-as-fuck metallic hardcore will turn the heads of fans of Gxllium, Hayworth, Rex Kwon Do, Me And Him Call It Us, .gif from god, etc.

Just a heads up that Drive Your Plow Over The Bones Of The Dead ‘collected’ cds release on Friday!!!

You’ll also see a new Orphan Donor premiere via Lambgoat on Tuesday!!!

Softseed Music has a lot coming up too, including Mieke’s ‘Frau Eva’ now in hand and shipping, as well as a Hillsboro single for arguably my favourite song from the new album on Friday. Everything Is Noise has been doing a ton of great pieces recently, and they just posted an excellent Carrion Spring feature for ‘Those We’ve Lost and Continue to Lose’ which we released on 12”LP just over a month ago.
