Sans Visage tapes arrive tomorrow and will be ready for their December 15th release. ‘drowned/resistance’ houses five jams, many of which are re-recorded versions of earlier songs. I’ll have some pictures ready before they drop. This EP is sooooo good! Their previous LP is also insanely good, and I’ve got 3 copies left below/pictured above!

I decided to keep this open for another week, with it closing Friday at 11:59pm PST and then items I still don’t want I’ll put up in the stores but all sales prices will revert back to normal prices. Vancouver’s Smush just released their 3rd music video from ‘if you were here i’d be home now’ and we’re down to the absolute last copies of the first pressing. This was CanaDave’s album of the year in 2024! 2 left on the Softseed bandcamp, 2 in the Canada store, and 22 in the U.S. store. Zero chance these are still around by summer so snag now or forever hold your peace.

Belted Sweater got the good’ole OMSB premiere treatment with the final single “More Rack Toms (than people in the audience)” and it’s amazing. It’s different. By golly it’s a bit strange at first, but like CanaDave you will likely become enamored with this incredible glam skramz solo project from LA. Full tape release is this Friday the 21st of February on Softseed Music (but we’ll have a few copies too) and Self Versed Records. The Coma Of Eris debut album immediately caught the eye of the almighty Stereogum who were kind enough to do a little write-up of it. Tapes have been ordered and will arrive in mid-March, after which CanaDave will decorate and they should be released late March/early April. Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: YELLFIRE = I knew nothing about this band when I played with them, but they played as a three-piece and blew us all away. After the set we were informed that they were missing a guitar player at that show and everyone’s jaws broke the fuck off. They’re like Botch x Kollapse. Amazing.

2024 - 10 - 23 /// Senza then Concealer

Alright y’all, Senza’s new 12”EP ‘Celestial Body’ is the next ZBR release and it all goes down on November 1st at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. We did 500 copies alongside our long-time pals at Dog Knights Productions: 200 pink/blue/black merge, 150 pink, and 150 blue, all with etched b-side and 12-page lyric book. This thing looks incredible and we’ll have promo pics ready for next week, but for now here’s the cover art and a previously song from said five-track EP.

Orlando, Florida's Concealer released 'dissonance [all that keeps me away]' a few months back and it caught our attention immediately. Their take on metallic screamo was one that reminded us of greats like Dispensing Of False Halos and even Hopesfall, so we lined up those four EP songs alongside two brand new jams and will be releasing 'Heartfelt Entries' November 8th, 2024. 2024 - 10 - 09 /// Smush is in + Crowning to Japan!

Smush has arrived! Holy moly was that outside of the plant’s guaranteed time. Inserts are printed and the records look/sound great. Softseed Music made 150 of’em and they’re already more than half gone. U.S. store gets their copies when U.S. Dave returns from his Japanese tour with Crowning/Oaktails, and should all be shipped by the end of October. I’d probably keep an eye on their bandcamp btw!

Crowning cds are in stock in both stores + bandcamp. They are literally flying to Japan right now to join Oaktails for the tour. As stated, keep an eye on those bandcamps!

Members of Our Future Is An Absolute Shadow, Mourn Recif, and Hillsboro have a new group called Wollruss. Their first show is October 19th, 2024 at Oaklands with A Recorded Dawn, Shoplifter, and I.O.
