The new Gravess EP ‘losing everything that makes life beautiful’ is out! Only 100 copies were made and we’ve got 30 spread across our three stores. This is a phenomenal EP with some seriously killer tracks. Be sure to check it out and snag one if interested, as I don’t expect them to be around for long!

Coup D’état has a new lyrical music video for “The Cost of Playing It Cool” and it’s dope! Speaking of dope their new EP is just that! Inferior at foosball but top-notch Vancouver Island skramz.

This is the last reminder about the Mourn Recif show coming up this Saturday as it’s our first in nearly 3 months and likely our last show until we get to play ZBR Fest 2026 (oopsie, spoiler!). We’ll have tapes and cds but are definitely almost out of some of the tape variants. You’ve got a wicked instrumental jam, a sung lullaby and then a screamy, solo-driven closer. Some of the jammiest and sickest stuff we’ve heard in ages. Featuring members of: Cape Light, 5000, No Omega, Careless, etc.

Sear’s ‘O Merciful’ is out on 12” from Tomb Tree (and cassette via Limited Hangout Records) with art from @josephpereztattoo. The dark, oppressive, dense screamo/black metal features members of To Forget and is the soundtrack to today’s political landscape. Mages sold out quickly, only black 12”s remain and we only made 100 of those so we don’t expect them to hang around for long!!!

Gravess got their final premiere from their new EP ‘losing everything that makes life beautiful’ that releases January 21st on Zegema Beach and Severed Records via 12”. There’s going to be a big ole Shove distro update on Friday at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST, here’s what’s going up. In case you don’t know some of these covers, there’s Raein, Tenue, La Quiete, ByMySide, Only, Coma Regalia, Norse, Abandoncy, Adorno, Alkupera, Letterbombs x Lori, Crossed x Vibora, Since By Man, oh and we’ve got the Adobe Homes 12” Euro/band variants too!!! These will all go up in the “New Items/Specials” heading of the Canada/International store and straight onto the homepage of the US store.

Sungaze’s fourth full length “I’m No Longer Afraid of Heights” is now up for 12” pre-order with 5 of the 10 songs available to listen/download. The full release for this baby is May 22nd, 2026 and there’s a run of tapes from Candlepin Records as well as cds from the band. Fans of Smush and She’s Green should be all over this.

Mourn Recif is playing a show on January 24th at that sick skate shop again (a new song from their last show there linked here) with a seriously sick lineup. We’re working on a full length album so we won’t be playing many shows over the next few months so please come out to this one and say hi if you can. Also, the Mourn Recif x A Recorded Dawn split got some love from This Noise Is Ours so you should scope that out by clicking on the pic above or this text.

Shesmadefromsuede is down to just a handful of copies left and also got an additional push from the (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))) blog which you can access by clicking on the pic above or this text. The band existed solely for this EP then called it a day. Wicked metallic hardcore/screamo in the vein of Mondrary, Blind Girls, Roman Candle, etc.

Operation X-Ray did a wicked roundup of screamo releases from the year. I found a bunch of bands that I hadn’t heard and were awesome, but my top 3 discoveries were: absent from the morning headcount, open carry state, and Chigaki Death Metro. Check that shit below.

It’s official, Concealer 12”LPs for their new first full length are at the pressing plant! With the final CanaDave’s SkramzCave sales ending, the unsold stuff has been imported into their proper homes at regular prices (12” distro, 7” distro, tapes distro, and cds distro) as well as a bunch of the stuff at sale prices going directly into the “Steals” section. Take a gander cuz everything should be alphabetically organized :)

Last little bit of news is the Zampler #26 compilation ‘A Stroll Down Washout Lane’ which we ran through the 30 cds extremely quickly, so I’ll probably do another small run for the summer Zampler too.
