Zampler art submissions now open!!!

Just a quick reminder that the US store 40% off sale aka the “Liqui-Dave-tion” sale that is automatically applied to all orders will be active until Sunday June 14th at 9pm EST / 11pm CST / 12pm EST.

The big news from the past few days is that all upcoming Zamplers are open to art submissions! Starting right now you can go watch Starship Troopers (just the first one) and then check out the other Zampler covers and then cook up something sick that references the movie (and isn’t the same as a previous cover). Art submitted will be considered for the June 30th Zampler, with everything that isn’t chosen and comes after that date automatically will be considered for the next Zampler, and so on and so on as these things release every 6 months. You don’t need to include a Zampler # on the cover so just leave that open for when a # is chosen at a later date. You can email your submissions to zegemabeachrecords@gmail.com

And I feel the need to reiterate, all art MUST reference Starship Troopers or it doesn’t fit with the theme I’ve had going for more than 13 years. Jam #25 below with art from Jackson Schott!

I had Josh (A Recorded Dawn, Cadere, etc.) and Nima (Hillsboro, Wollruss) over to house for a Fest recap podcast as we reminisced about Vancouver’s 2026 ZBR Fest. Check it out above! I’ve included a few live videos below.

Cadere (formerly Mourn Recif) has two shows coming up with Ontario’s Constrain in Duncan this Friday and in Victora this Saturday. ZBR distro will be in hand. A teaser video of the band’s debut EP drops on Friday!

Following the Vancouver Island band’s new release ‘A Party in Your Name’ by my friends in Hillsboro, they also released a 13-minute video that acts as kind of a music video for a few jams. Very cool, artistic stuff! The tapes should finish this week and be in-hand next week. I also snagged some live videos from their Victoria release show that I’ll post next week.

Nhomme released one of the greatest and mind-bending EPs I’ve ever heard a few years back. Despite keeping mostly silent (but playing a few shows now and then) they’ve been pretty quiet, but Ryan from Meatcube recently completed an interview with them! Detach The Islands got a sick write-up from IYE which you should check out, then immediately jam the EP. Such a sick and diverse set of tracks. Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to more super old releases, this one being Italy’s Lamantide. The EP ended up making me ask the band to participate in the 2x12” 8-way split. Very dark and heavy shit, like Converge on nightmare fuel. This 12” will not be repressed so snag this last copy (below) or forever hold your peace.

2026 - 3 - 24 /// Concealer releases in a week!

Hey y’all, Concealer is next! ‘This Room Could Be Heaven’ releases as a 12”LP on Tuesday March 31st at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST on 250 vinyl. The band has 100 and we already sold 75 in less than an hour during the pre-order, so if this album is your kinda thing you best be grabbing it in the first 10 minutes lest ye be empty-handed. Jam the first three singles here which is also where all the store links will show up on release day!

As you probably have noticed, the new Gxllium! album isn’t out yet. There were mixing issues which means delays, so it’s coming but we aren’t sure of the exact date. Regardless, it’ll release almost immediately upon completion via Tomb Tree and Vamonos Records with vinyl following a few later on Zegema Beach Records and Vamonos Records. There’s like 3 tapes left of their previous EP so snag those asap, embedded below!

Today’s ZBR Fest 2026 Profile Feature is for Mau who are coming up from California to play Canada for the first time. This ex-Hawak band caused quite a stir before their debut EP as they were killing it at shows for about two years before they finally dropped their first official music. Chaotic, beautiful, intelligent…it’s everything you’ve ever wanted and more. Snag their ‘anthesis’ etched 10” below! A friendly reminder that Fainting Dreams had their first and only song premiere from the ‘Silence of Birds That Rarely Sing’ cassette EP releasing on Softseed Music on April 6th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. This release has the band mixing their ethereal Ethel Cain-esque stuff with crushing black metal/screamo like Deafheaven and Old Soul. Dagerman 12”s are moving well, especially the sets that include the first 12”LP in addition to their new ‘Di Fronte A Noi Il Nulla’ full length. Mercy Necromancy’s ‘Fallen’ and ‘Cruel’ EPs are now housed on one vinyl 12”! Softseed Music made 111 of these so please go check it out and snag one if you like Dollanganger, Grimes, Del Rey, Cain, etc. Minimal instrumentals under the voice of an angel.

Well shit ZBR Fest is getting pretty goddamned close. So let’s go through the bands playing, shall we? We’ll call this the ZBR Fest 2026 Profile Feature. Yeah, that only took like 10 minutes to think up, lol.

For years Massa Nera was the ZBR Fest mainstay, but after they had to pull out of 2024’s fest it’s been The Caution Children who have taken up the mantle. Bringing everyone together in the best possible way, these Florida all-stars were phenomenal in both 2024 (linked here) and 2025 (embedded above), so it was a no-brainer giving these dudes the ZBR Fest title and inviting them back for a third year in a row.

We are super excited to announce the release of Carrion Spring’s new album ‘Those We Have Lost And Continue To Lose’ which will drop on March 6th, 2026! The 12” vinyl /250 are on the way to us and should be in hand a week before the release so we’ll have some nice pics for ya as soon as possible. Jam a new jam below. More info soon!!!

ZBR is releasing the next Dagerman 12”LP ‘Di fronte a noi il nulla’ on March 20th. The first single “Caino” is available to stream/download above. Wicked Italian screamo, baby! We have some 12”s from their debut LP below if you wanna scope. For fans of La Quiete, Raein, Ojne, etc.

Soastaphrenas’ second single is upon us. This band is ex-Spoiled and kicks serious ass whilst also charting new territory. Exciting stuff! Full release is likely early April and Tomb Tree will have 30 copies.

ZBR Fest lineup announced and tickets are live! The cap on this year’s fest in Vancouver is less than 200 so we’re looking at a pretty intimate time. Tickets are going fast, get’em at zbrfest.com

Our next big ZBR-only release is the next Carrion Spring full length 12” titled ‘those we’ve lost and continue to lose’ and it releases in full on March 6th, 2026 via 250 records. We won’t spoil the variant but it looks pretty fucking sick. You can scope the music video for “Pocket Full of Poseurs” from the album below!

Vi Som Alskade Varandra Sa Mycket’s debut 12”LP is finally back in press thanks to Moment Of Collapse and yours truly (but mostly Moment Of Collapse) as we only have 30 copies spread across our three stores. Phenomenal post-everything screamo from Sweden featuring a member of The Khayembii Communique.

CanaDave had a podcast with Mercy Necromancy right before a special surprise which happens on Monday. If you like ethereal, dreamy, dark-yet-beautiful singer/songwriter stuff you will fall in love with this artist (like I did!) and therefore you should buy a 12” copy of ‘Fallen’ before they’re all gone. We got a restock of another 50 Mau 10”s for their debut EP complete with sick etched b-side. Don’t wait too long on these as we moved our first 50 in 36 hours. U.S. store copies and Canada/International store copies are linked at the bottom of each release on Bandcamp. You can also snag one on our bandcamp but we gotta charge more cuz they take a buncha fees from us that these two stores don’t.

Usurp Synape was released back on Monday, which is when US Dave released this killer trailer for the record and jacket to give you a better idea of just how fucking epic this shit is. If we sell out and repress we won’t be doing the laser-cut thing again, so that’s incentive for you to pick up this insane piece of history. Shesmadefromsuede had their first single premiered on This Noise Is Ours. The tapes just arrived and Tomb Tree made 78 for your listening pleasure. This is the screamo/emo-violence/metallic hardcore band’s first and only release, making it hit that much harder. Full release is Monday October 20th!

Inosuke has a new album coming November 3rd titled ‘Allomancer’ (cover above), so to remind you how sick this band is check out their debut 12” below that we put out cuz it rules. Featuring Jason from Locktender and Erik from Lord Snow.

Softseed Music’s next release is the Fainting Dreams album ‘You Can Be Anything’ which releases October 31st, but you can jam the first epic single from Everything Is Noise now. The project is the brainchild of Elle from Athousandangelsandseven and lands on the other end of the spectrum, with this album being a thing of beauty instead of ugly catharsis. Operation X-Ray had their 200th episode this past Friday and played Usurp Synapse and Lucidity, among other fucking bangers. Yours truly will be co-hosting the next episode!

I used to post something about our final copies of stuff, and after seeing a ton of “last copy” items at my place, I thought I’d revive this segment. I forget what I called this weekly thing, but now it’s just called Last Fucking Copy. This is our Last Fucking Copy of мятеж’s ‘Riot/Mutiny’ aka the final release from this project from CanaDave and Chris from Makara, Jenny Piccolo, Yaphet Kotto, etc. This release will NEVER be made again. Please take this off my hands (it’s in the bandcamp store embedded below).
