Carrion Spring released x Distro update on Wednesday!

Carrion Spring released on Friday in all its glory! Years and years of friendship, planning, recording, life, and a whole lot more went into this phenomenal full length ‘Those We’ve Lost and Continue to Lose’ which was recorded by Kurt Ballou at Atomic Garden Studios! Jam/buy it below and make sure you come see them at both the ZBR Fest 2026 pre-show and main fest.

Also this week, there’s a new distro drop on Wednesday that will include some key Dog Knights releases (Journal, Beau Navire, State Faults, etc.) then a Concealer 12” pre-order on Friday…what a week!

Today’s ZBR Fest 2026 Profile Feature is for Csilla’s Star Is Gone which features members of Coup D’etat, A Recorded Dawn, Mourn Recif, Wollruss, Bathtub Autopsy, and Hospice (to name a few lol) so there’s probably no better way to open ZBR Fest 2026 at the pre-show on May 1st, 2026 at Big Fernwood in Victoria on Vancouver Island. I saw them play their first show this past weekend and it was badass. They are the fist band in the video below, but you can also scope A Recorded Dawn and Hillsboro who are also playing the fest! Rosemary Nods Upon The Grave did an interview with Cinepunx that you should definitely scope. Oh my god the day is finally here! Another decade-plus release is down to it’s last copy!!! This Montreal band ended up creating Yearning and Carcajou, two bands that ZBR are big fans of, but this release is more like Envy, Sed Non Satiata, and Amanda Woodward. There’s a sick video of them playing the Congratulations EP release show back in 2014 embedded above (make sure you get to that sweet sauce at 2:20+). 2025 - 05 - 29 /// Mourn Recif premiere + surprise release on June 2nd!

Alrighty folks last post till June 2nd when our next release drops. This particular 12” split is a surprise that we’ll drop digitally at midnight EST, with physicals being delayed a bit which we’ll have up in late June/early July (aka whenever they show up).

Mourn Recif has a new EP coming out, so Idioteq.com premiered the closing track “Slow Reign” which also happened to be the first song that the band wrote together. Their release show is July 5th in Victoria with the almighty Emma Goldman and friends. Social Caterpillar’s final release dropped earlier this month, but Softseed Music just received their copies so everything is now available here too. Othiel’s new album ‘World’s Fastest Car’ is officially out on cd! The physicals arrive at our US store on Wednesday and we’ll start shipping them out then. This new release includes re-recorded versions of their Palefade. split as well as five brand new jams of epic, devastating, and gorgeous screamo/post-hardcore. We only made 200 and shot some to the band for their upcoming tour with Knumears.

Ooo baby it’s double release day, as Tomb Tree just dropped the new andthecanaryfell. EP on cassette titled ‘As The Ice Melts’ and it’s a fucking nightmare collection of five songs that will test your brain’s resolve. Featuring members of Fallingwithscissors, this band creates a lush and crushing atmosphere not unlike Meth. and Detach The Islands. Clear /45, swirl /30, and test dips /6. Snag’em now!

Everything Remade had Victoria (vocals) of Emma Goldman on and it’s a great listen! Also we are down to just 10 copies of blob variant between ZBR Canada (ships worldwide though/linked here) and our bandcamp (embedded below). US store is sold out!

The Crowning x Oaktails split 12” came out on Friday via ZBR and Larry so snag a copy now before we sell out. We ALWAYS sell out of Crowning stuff pretty quickly and the band has a few shows with in mid-June where they will shed all of their copies.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: VALATIA = Oh shit this album is amazing. Both jarring and beautiful, if you like Aspartame, Burial Etiquette, or Clay Birds but want it a tad heavier you need to scope this immediately.

2025 - 04 - 08 /// Dagerman 12"s + Lord Wrought tapes!

Dagerman’s debut 12”LP ‘tragedie | VIVERE’ is officially shipping, as we got 40 of the 300 copies to spread across three stores so don’t expect them to hang around for too long. Sensational Italian screamo of the heavier variety, whilst still retaining a strong sense of dynamics and melody. Fans of Raein, La Quiete, Vibora, and Ojne need to scope this immediately.

'Mortis' by LORD WROUGHT is now on the Tomb Tree bandcamp with tapes shipping immediately. Their blend of hardcore, metal, sludge, and dare I say screamo is vicious, unrelenting, and downright evil. Oh and the tapes look sick. For fans of: Crossed, Crestfallen, and Portrayal Of Guilt.

Crossed was interviewed by Rockzone Mag and they are currently bouncing around Europe on tour. Click on the picture above for the interview, check out the tour dates below, and jam/buy that shit further down. 12”s should be arriving this month but we currently don’t have tracking.

Mourn Recif played at the final Linden House show this past Saturday and it was a blast. It was the first show with our new guitarist Josh who ran the house and also spends time in A Recorded Dawn (who also played) and Hose. Above you can see clips from the aforementioned bands as well as Emma Goldman and Coup D’etat, and below you can scope the full Mourn Recif set. I would personally recommend from Deers onward but you do you.

Emma Goldman has their release show on May 9th! Hopefully I’ll be there slingin’ extra records but I gotta see if I survive the ZBR Fest trip.
