2026 - 2 - 16 /// Mercy Necromancy's 'Cruel' released on vinyl!

February 16, 2026 by David Norman

Mercy Necromancy’s ‘Fallen’ and ‘Cruel’ EPs are now housed on one vinyl 12”! Softseed Music made 111 of these so please go check it out and snag one if you like Dollanganger, Grimes, Del Rey, Cain, etc. Minimal instrumentals under the voice of an angel.

Well shit ZBR Fest is getting pretty goddamned close. So let’s go through the bands playing, shall we? We’ll call this the ZBR Fest 2026 Profile Feature. Yeah, that only took like 10 minutes to think up, lol.

For years Massa Nera was the ZBR Fest mainstay, but after they had to pull out of 2024’s fest it’s been The Caution Children who have taken up the mantle. Bringing everyone together in the best possible way, these Florida all-stars were phenomenal in both 2024 (linked here) and 2025 (embedded above), so it was a no-brainer giving these dudes the ZBR Fest title and inviting them back for a third year in a row.

We are super excited to announce the release of Carrion Spring’s new album ‘Those We Have Lost And Continue To Lose’ which will drop on March 6th, 2026! The 12” vinyl /250 are on the way to us and should be in hand a week before the release so we’ll have some nice pics for ya as soon as possible. Jam a new jam below. More info soon!!!

ZBR is releasing the next Dagerman 12”LP ‘Di fronte a noi il nulla’ on March 20th. The first single “Caino” is available to stream/download above. Wicked Italian screamo, baby! We have some 12”s from their debut LP below if you wanna scope. For fans of La Quiete, Raein, Ojne, etc.

Soastaphrenas’ second single is upon us. This band is ex-Spoiled and kicks serious ass whilst also charting new territory. Exciting stuff! Full release is likely early April and Tomb Tree will have 30 copies.

Click here for all the lists!

Maximum Rock’n’Roll had Sutras make their list (Zuzanna’s list) which is sick, but I honestly don’t know ANY of the other bands lol. I’m in the screamo dungeon, baby. Tapes still available below. Click on the pic above or this text to go to the full list.

In a band touring near Italy July 17th and 18th in Northern Italy? Hit me up for a possible fest invitation!!!

Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to another really early Zibbur release (number 39 to be exact) which is the Secret Smoker x Alarms And Controls split 7”. This won’t be repressed as I don’t think either band is even active anymore. Snag now or forever hold your peace.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: WITH ONE EXCEPTION x CHIGAKI DEATH METRO = This split is great, the first half is dirty/chunky and the second half is sick emo-violence.

2026 - 2 - 13 /// ZBR Fest 2026 tickets are live + Carrion Spring 12"!

February 13, 2026 by David Norman

ZBR Fest lineup announced and tickets are live! The cap on this year’s fest in Vancouver is less than 200 so we’re looking at a pretty intimate time. Tickets are going fast, get’em at zbrfest.com

Our next big ZBR-only release is the next Carrion Spring full length 12” titled ‘those we’ve lost and continue to lose’ and it releases in full on March 6th, 2026 via 250 records. We won’t spoil the variant but it looks pretty fucking sick. You can scope the music video for “Pocket Full of Poseurs” from the album below!

Vi Som Alskade Varandra Sa Mycket’s debut 12”LP is finally back in press thanks to Moment Of Collapse and yours truly (but mostly Moment Of Collapse) as we only have 30 copies spread across our three stores. Phenomenal post-everything screamo from Sweden featuring a member of The Khayembii Communique.

CanaDave had a podcast with Mercy Necromancy right before a special surprise which happens on Monday. If you like ethereal, dreamy, dark-yet-beautiful singer/songwriter stuff you will fall in love with this artist (like I did!) and therefore you should buy a 12” copy of ‘Fallen’ before they’re all gone. All links in the full podcast post can be accessed by this text.

Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to ZBR006, one of the very first releases we did. I think we did like 600+ 7”s and immediately afterward Germany’s Amber broke up and these vinyl just sat around. Now it’s more than a decade after it’s release and I’m down to the final copy. Snag now or forever hold your peace.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: LONELYISANEYESORE = Wicked new EP from this band on Vamonos Records!

2024 - 12 - 30 /// Zampler #24 tonight!

December 30, 2024 by David Norman

Zampler #24 releases tonight at 9pm PST / 11pm CST / 12am EST! Get the fuck ready!!! Before that time almost all strike-era packages will be brought to the post office and mailed off. Many of you already have tracking, that’ll update once I drop this ridiculous amount of packages off at a couple of post offices (so as not to inundate any one location). There are a few stragglers from Bandcamp orders that should go by the end of the week as US Dave tries to keep up, but does have a ton of other responsibilities (like a real job and a child). Here’s a pic of me with most of the orders that have accumulated over the past 6 weeks. Seriously, thanks for your support and patience <3

Operation X-Ray premiered two brand new jams from athousandangelsandseven and Keratin, as well as a Die Princess Die song. Definitely worth a listen!!!

Coup D’etat had their release show a few weeks ago on the back of their debut album release ‘What Happens After the Epilogue…?’ and CanaDave witnessed, filmed, and played said show. This thing is hot stuff and all Canada/International and Bandcamp copies are gone, but there are 7 copies left in the US store so snag’em asap if interested. Click on this text or the pic above for the full post with videos/links from each band. Listen to the release below.

If you slept on the GreenBlueGrey and Black Nails/Sharp Teeth split cassette on Tomb Tree then you literally are shit out of luck cuz they are very sold out, and did so in less than a few hours. Jam it below and weep.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: LORD WROUGHT = I saw this Vancouver-based band slay in a half-pipe recently. Fucking awesome.

2023 - 10 - 23 /// 2nd Closet Witch music video

October 23, 2023 by David Norman

Closet Witch has a new song/music video premiere goin’ down over at Not Just A Phase! Click on the picture above or this text to go there. It features Frankie Furillo of The Central and it kicks most serious ass. Video by Jeff Carl @_this.jeff.

Mollie (vocals/lyrics) had this to say about it:
It was really cool to have two long time friends collaborate for those tracks...Frankie did vocals on the second and he's just been one of my favorite people for some time now. And then to have Jeff make a video was super cool, too, as I've known him for most of my time living in Iowa and he's just a creative individual who marches to the beat of his own drum. Both an honor to have involved. Lyrically the songs are along my usual lines, borderline story telling mixed with journalistic emotional release ...Topics relating to personal traumas that I'm sure many can in some way relate to, unfortunately, and that a lot of us find shame inducing to lament on or even bring up but cause indefinite ache in how hard they are to overcome on our own.

Full release is November 3rd, 2023 via Zegema Beach, Moment Of Collapse, Circus Of The Macabre, and Sassbolgna Records. 12"LP pre-order from Zegema Beach Records:

My Condolences comes out on Tomb Tree tomorrow on a super short run of 32 cassettes. Here are the variants! Features a member of Scenario!

Operation X-Ray continues killin’ it, this time playing jams from New Forms and Vibora, but I also highly recommend Flooding and Wednesday which were also played.

CanaDave helped put on this Hexis + Trauma Model + Jisei show back in September. If you need a show in Nanaimo hit me up. If you need a show in Victoria…I’m not your man. Click on the pic above or this text to go to the live videos/links/reviews/etc.

This Noise Is Ours released the next in the ZBR Roster Review series which happens to be the ‘Reflektion’ 12”LP by Sweden’s Nionde Plagan. We definitely helped release that and still have a few stragglers left! Click on this text or the pic above to read it, and you can jam/buy the album below!

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: DREAMWELL = This band played ZBR Fest 2023 and were awesome…and now their new album is out!!!

2023 - 09 - 15 /// To Forget + More Premieres

September 15, 2023 by David Norman

We released the phenomenal To Forget lathe 7” yesterday and moved about half of the copies in less than 24 hours. Their 12”LP steadily sold for a month before we moved all 160 copies, and we expect this lathe to do the same (but we only have 50 this time) so if you’re into it please don’t sleep. It’s fantastic!

Riversleem premiered “Eating Teeth” a few days back on Borderline Fuckup, with the full 7” release going down on September 25th so get the fuck ready! We still have copies of their debut 7” in stock as well, give it a jam (so good).

Operation X-Ray premiered enough tracks to knock over a camel! Poor camel. Songs from Loose Teeth, Llewelyn (premiere), My Hair Is A Rat’s Nest (premiere), Riversleem (premiere), and Saton (premiere)!!! Congratulations on your 100th episode Andrew, you rule!

CanaDave helped the band Hillsboro release their self-titled 12”LP on his Softseed Label today. It’s amazing indie rock from Victoria on Vancouver Island, which is also where he is based.

Joliette’s ‘Luz de Bengala’ continues to get stellar reviews, today’s comes from Punkeando! Click on the pic above or this text to go there. Jam/buy it below!

Big Stuff Thing #5 is coming next week! We’ve got mages, handmades, test presses and who the hell knows what else. Before that kicks off on Wednesday morning, I’ve got a handful of leftover Zaffle wins that were never claimed. Do you know these winners? If so please have them email zegemabeachrecords@gmail.com as they haven’t responded to my previous emails. If I don’t get a response by Tuesday September 19th their wins will go unclaimed and be posted in the Big Stuff Thing #5:

Colin Behage
Nick Jumisco
Michael Beyette
Kelvin Graham
Shayna Hagen
Bruno Enders
David Broberg

Hexis + Trauma Model + Jisei show in Victoria on September 23rd is just over a week away! Snag some tickets. Say hi. Get pummeled. Get to sleep early. Click on this text to commit <3
