2026 - 2 - 16 /// Mercy Necromancy's 'Cruel' released on vinyl!

February 16, 2026 by David Norman

Mercy Necromancy’s ‘Fallen’ and ‘Cruel’ EPs are now housed on one vinyl 12”! Softseed Music made 111 of these so please go check it out and snag one if you like Dollanganger, Grimes, Del Rey, Cain, etc. Minimal instrumentals under the voice of an angel.

Well shit ZBR Fest is getting pretty goddamned close. So let’s go through the bands playing, shall we? We’ll call this the ZBR Fest 2026 Profile Feature. Yeah, that only took like 10 minutes to think up, lol.

For years Massa Nera was the ZBR Fest mainstay, but after they had to pull out of 2024’s fest it’s been The Caution Children who have taken up the mantle. Bringing everyone together in the best possible way, these Florida all-stars were phenomenal in both 2024 (linked here) and 2025 (embedded above), so it was a no-brainer giving these dudes the ZBR Fest title and inviting them back for a third year in a row.

We are super excited to announce the release of Carrion Spring’s new album ‘Those We Have Lost And Continue To Lose’ which will drop on March 6th, 2026! The 12” vinyl /250 are on the way to us and should be in hand a week before the release so we’ll have some nice pics for ya as soon as possible. Jam a new jam below. More info soon!!!

ZBR is releasing the next Dagerman 12”LP ‘Di fronte a noi il nulla’ on March 20th. The first single “Caino” is available to stream/download above. Wicked Italian screamo, baby! We have some 12”s from their debut LP below if you wanna scope. For fans of La Quiete, Raein, Ojne, etc.

Soastaphrenas’ second single is upon us. This band is ex-Spoiled and kicks serious ass whilst also charting new territory. Exciting stuff! Full release is likely early April and Tomb Tree will have 30 copies.

Click here for all the lists!

Maximum Rock’n’Roll had Sutras make their list (Zuzanna’s list) which is sick, but I honestly don’t know ANY of the other bands lol. I’m in the screamo dungeon, baby. Tapes still available below. Click on the pic above or this text to go to the full list.

In a band touring near Italy July 17th and 18th in Northern Italy? Hit me up for a possible fest invitation!!!

Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to another really early Zibbur release (number 39 to be exact) which is the Secret Smoker x Alarms And Controls split 7”. This won’t be repressed as I don’t think either band is even active anymore. Snag now or forever hold your peace.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: WITH ONE EXCEPTION x CHIGAKI DEATH METRO = This split is great, the first half is dirty/chunky and the second half is sick emo-violence.

2026 - 2 - 13 /// ZBR Fest 2026 tickets are live + Carrion Spring 12"!

February 13, 2026 by David Norman

ZBR Fest lineup announced and tickets are live! The cap on this year’s fest in Vancouver is less than 200 so we’re looking at a pretty intimate time. Tickets are going fast, get’em at zbrfest.com

Our next big ZBR-only release is the next Carrion Spring full length 12” titled ‘those we’ve lost and continue to lose’ and it releases in full on March 6th, 2026 via 250 records. We won’t spoil the variant but it looks pretty fucking sick. You can scope the music video for “Pocket Full of Poseurs” from the album below!

Vi Som Alskade Varandra Sa Mycket’s debut 12”LP is finally back in press thanks to Moment Of Collapse and yours truly (but mostly Moment Of Collapse) as we only have 30 copies spread across our three stores. Phenomenal post-everything screamo from Sweden featuring a member of The Khayembii Communique.

CanaDave had a podcast with Mercy Necromancy right before a special surprise which happens on Monday. If you like ethereal, dreamy, dark-yet-beautiful singer/songwriter stuff you will fall in love with this artist (like I did!) and therefore you should buy a 12” copy of ‘Fallen’ before they’re all gone. All links in the full podcast post can be accessed by this text.

Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to ZBR006, one of the very first releases we did. I think we did like 600+ 7”s and immediately afterward Germany’s Amber broke up and these vinyl just sat around. Now it’s more than a decade after it’s release and I’m down to the final copy. Snag now or forever hold your peace.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: LONELYISANEYESORE = Wicked new EP from this band on Vamonos Records!

Mourn Recif played their release show this past Saturday which I compiled some clips for below, including videos from Internal Dialogue, Androgyne, and the almighty Emma Goldman for which we have more info below. Mourn’s next show is opening for Drive Your Plow Over The Bones Of The Dead in Vancouver on July 25th!

Emma Goldman also played that Mourn Recif show and there’s a full song in the teaser video above. Angry Metal Guy also reviewed their newest album of which we are 95% sold out. Get those last red copies or forever hold your peace. Click on this text to read the review.

Stuntman first album in 10 years is making the rounds, this time garndering Group of the Month on Core & Co. with a whopping 9.5/10!!! Click on this text or the pic above to read the review and jam/buy tapes below!

The sixth ZBR release got a review 11 years later, woot woot longevity! I think we have like 5 copies of this split 7” left. Our Amber + Locktender split can be jammed/purchased below, with the review being linked to this text and the pic above.

Operation X-Ray played a ton of bangers on their most recent episode including Serrate, Coup D’etat, and Our Future Is An Absolute Shadow.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: FEBUARY = The ultimate homies from Nevada dropped their new EP and it’ll bring a smile to your face, cuz goddamn that band rocks and I’m so fucking glad they got back together.

2023 - 10 - 08 /// Inosuke premiere

October 08, 2023 by David Norman

Inosuke is a new band featuring Jason of Locktender/Men As Trees (guitar/vox) and Erik of Lord Snow/Stormlight (drums) doing a mixture of pummeling German metallic hardcore (think Trainwreck) and introspective post-hardcore/screamo (think Stormlight). Is it as good as you’d think? Oh, it’s fucking better. Digital/12”LPs should be out December, with a slight chance of the 12”s being in hand early January…we’ll see! Click on the pic above or this text to go to the premiere, or just jam it below.

The One Who Became Many - A Tribute to Coma Regalia releases in just under 24 hours (at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST) so here are the variants! 45 light blue/gold swirl, 30 blue, 20 dark blue/pink swirl, and 5 test dips w/matching swirl case!

Social Caterpillar’s ‘Alphabet Crown’ came out yesterday on Softseed Music and it’s incredible! A friend told me they sound like a mixture of Pygmy Lush, Okkervil River, old Manchester Orchestra, Margot & The Nuculear So and So's, and The Decemberists. Looks like I need to go check out all those bands!!! 12”s and tapes available!

There are a few unshipped orders from the Canada/International store for a couple reasons that will be out the door next week, this is because 1) I had the kids by myself for 11 days straight, 2) the shipping boxes I ordered took 3 days last time, this time they won’t be here until 17 days after ordering (they are set to arrive on Oct 13th), and 3) we had some Porcelain Joliette’s go missing so if your order hasn’t shipped expect an apology email and a substitute/refund option (there are only 3 orders that have this issue). Full transparency. Thanks for the support ya’ll.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: SOLVALOU = This band features Joseph, formerly of Malevich, Under A Sky So Blue, and that other newer band I’m forgetting the name of. Demo EP coming out on ZBR in the near future!
