Sans Visage tapes arrive tomorrow and will be ready for their December 15th release. ‘drowned/resistance’ houses five jams, many of which are re-recorded versions of earlier songs. I’ll have some pictures ready before they drop. This EP is sooooo good! Their previous LP is also insanely good, and I’ve got 3 copies left below/pictured above!

I decided to keep this open for another week, with it closing Friday at 11:59pm PST and then items I still don’t want I’ll put up in the stores but all sales prices will revert back to normal prices. Hailing from Baltimore and causing all kinds of emo-violence from 2009 to 2013, this group of friends created some seriously driving, raw, cathartic, emotional, and amazing screamo. These two cassettes compile all of the band’s material including demos in a sweet double-cassette vinyl case with double-sided jacket insert (baaaarf) and insert history booklet. Boasting members of Itto, Frail Body, Ikaray and Pregnancy Pact, Chicago’s most hospitable local band is finally dropping an LP…or mini-LP…or whatever. Thing is, it’s fucking incredible. Started in 2018, the songs are devoid of filler and instead refined and cut to a staggering degree of potency, with no better place to start than the crushing opener “Caldera”. Falling somewhere between riffy hardcore and screamo/metalcore, my good friends have crafted a truly brilliant piece of art. Speaking of, art by Vanessa Valadez and layout by Dave Cullen. Noise samples by Justin. Mustache by Lowell. Vocal warm-up rehearsal is all James. The 12”s come on assorted color vinyl, some with swirls, and the very coveted 25 wax mages, all with an insert and sticker. Cassettes have two runs, including swirled, opaque and halfsies. Oh look, we made cds.

Hetta’s ‘Acetate’ released on Tomb Tree and it’s fucking nuts. Get your head sassed right off below. The tapes are done at the duplication plant but don’t arrive till Monday, so we’ll have pics of the variants mid-next week and all copies should be shipped out to customers by mid-December.

Twins is out! The 12”s are a bit behind but should be shipped in December. We’ve literally got 3 copies left over the 3 stores, act now before they’re gone!

Softseed Music just released the debut ‘Leaving’ by Corey Cash & Chuka Stergios. The crushingly honest and beautiful vocals layered over gorgeous acoustic guitar is apparent right from the title-track opener - these songs will both comfort and mesmerize with equally angelic and playful elements. Important updates here first, the Usurp Synapse box bound for Canada arrives on Friday so 100% of the those stragglers will be shipped off next week, missing our official deadline by like a week. Not too shabby, I must say.

We did it! Adobe Homes is out! After a decade of silence the band returns with a new 12-track album that dips between dark interludes and noodley screamo. The packaging on this is amazing and you’ve got to hold one to really grasp how sick the screen-printed covers are.

Hetta’s new release and first full length ‘Acetate’ drops November 21st on Tomb Tree! The music video for their new “Plainclothes Man” is above, and somehow we have two copies left of their debut EP (which is incredible btw) embedded below on the bandcamp page. The new material is crazy wonky, bringing to mind The Locust, Usurp Synapse, and Missouri Executive Order 44.

Another music video, this is the last Twins single and music video for “Presence”. 12” LP full release on November 21st (records probably won’t be in hand yet) but we only got 30 copies for ZBR and we’ve moved more than 20 already! Buy links in the embedded bandcamp below.

Eklektik Rock reviewed the Lucidity x Our Future Is An Absolute Shadow split and gave it high praise. If you like your emo-violence unrelenting or beautiful, this split has you covered. A live studio video of Avery Friedman’s “Finger Painting” was released and you should def check it out. Easily one of my favourites from ‘New Thing’, this Brooklyn-based artist released her phenomenal debut earlier this year and Softseed is the only place to get those sweet, sweet, stupid fancies.

INOSUKE's new 10"EP 'Allomancer' is out! Orange/black merge and transparent black glitter are the variants, each out of 125. Featuring members of Stormlight, Lord Snow, Locktender, and Men As Trees fusing some the darkest elements of sludge, post-hardcore, screamo, and metal. For fans of: Fall Of Efrafa, Trainwreck, Lentic Waters, and Buried Inside.

Tomb Tree released both EPs by Germany’s Jota on Monday that includes ‘Cold’ on the a-side (their 2023 debut) and ‘Haven’ on the b-side (their 2025 follow-up) and we moved more than half in the 12 hours. This prodigious, crushing, and emotive band mixes the weight of Buried Inside with Svalbard-but heavier vocals. Incredible stuff!!!

Our next release is the Adobe Homes 12” for their new full length ‘Años’, which drops on Monday November 10th via ZBR, Dog Knights, and the band. Each party has their own variant, and ours just showed up two days ago so we’ll have official pics soon, but here’s a mockup of the three. Jam a few songs and pre-order the digitals below!
