Zampler #26 released, Sear 12"s out next week!

Aight friends, we’re Facebook now so you should def be checking this news page for all important updates. I post at least once a week, sometimes up to three times depending on what’s going on. We’re also on Instagram (@zegema_beach) and BluSky (Zegema Beach Records).

With the final CanaDave’s SkramzCave sales ending, the unsold stuff has been imported into their proper homes at regular prices (12” distro, 7” distro, tapes distro, and cds distro) as well as a bunch of the stuff at sale prices going directly into the “Steals” section. Take a gander cuz everything should be alphabetically organized :)

Last little bit of news is the Zampler #26 compilation ‘A Stroll Down Washout Lane’ which we ran through the 30 cds extremely quickly, so I’ll probably do another small run for the summer Zampler too. A friendly reminder that the Sear video for “Judy” from the upcoming ‘O Merciful’ 12”LP came out last week, followed by a play on Operation X-Ray. The full release is January 12th and these 8 songs are gonna reel in fans of Portrayal Of Guilt, Crossed, Gillian Carter, etc. with their mixture of dark screamo and black metal. Variant pics incoming, but let’s just say be ready for 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST next Monday!!!

Emma Goldman got some love from Crucial Tracks as Chris from The Itinerant Printer names his top albums of the year. We still got some tapes left below! Vibora’s ‘Egin Ez Dugun Guztia’ got a push from Underground.Cat. We’ve got the 12” pre-order up with the track “Fotos” and you can find another track on the Zampler #26 titled “636”. Oh good lord why is this still in stock? Back in the early ZBR days we released this wicked split for Endamori and Big Machine. The former really stuck with us as one of the best three songs we’ve ever heard. Go jam this then buy it for a measly $8!!! No more will be made. CanaDave’s SkramzCave is now open for 24 hours. There’s a rare vinyl/tape room here and another super sale room here. Tons of amazing stuff up there! The second this closes on December 31st at 9am PST the Zampler #26 will release with orders of $20+ getting a free Zampler cd!!! Happy end of 2025!

Softseed Music released the Magana double EP cassette for ‘Bad News’ and ‘Golden Tongue’ yesterday so if you like your music breathtakingly gorgeous and a bit quirky, this is for you. Only 26 copies were made with less than 20 going up for sale. For fans of Squirrel Flower, Avery Friedman, Cat Power, etc.

As stated above Zampler #26 comes out tomorrow the 31st at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. I’m making cds again for this one because the art is just so fucking sick (made by Jackson Schott who did the Terry Green cover for ‘Provisional Living’) and is available to all who make an order between 9am PST on the 31st and 9am PST on January 1st. You’ll find 28 songs including six previously unreleased tracks from the likes of Concealer, Vibora, Gravess, Limbs, and more!

Sans Visage tapes arrive tomorrow and will be ready for their December 15th release. ‘drowned/resistance’ houses five jams, many of which are re-recorded versions of earlier songs. I’ll have some pictures ready before they drop. This EP is sooooo good! Their previous LP is also insanely good, and I’ve got 3 copies left below/pictured above!

I decided to keep this open for another week, with it closing Friday at 11:59pm PST and then items I still don’t want I’ll put up in the stores but all sales prices will revert back to normal prices. Well holy shit, CanaDave is in heaven because his Softseed Music label is releasing Mercy Necromancy for the first time…on vinyl! The 12” pre-order for ‘Fallen’ just went up so please go snag that if minimal/ethereal goth with the most gorgeous of vocals. For fans of: Nicole Dollanganger, Ethel Cain, Grouper, Cozy St. Jean, etc. 12”s should be in hand March 2026.

CanaDave’s SkramzCave closes at midnight tonight PST, but just a heads up if you already scoped - a buncha new stuff was added to the “miscellaneous page” if you wanna check it before finishing up at my place. Hetta tapes are all finished! The US box heads out today so if you ordered from there they’ll be shipping mid-December but all other orders will go out this week. ZBR Fest 2026 is already nearly complete. We’ve got 20 bands already confirmed with the final round having until this week to let us know if they can play. It’s going down May 1st (pre-show) in Victoria on Vancouver Island, then May 2nd and 3rd (day 1 + day 2) in Vancouver on the mainland. Please note that cities are confusing here and Victoria and Vancouver are about 3 hours apart via a ferry, so if you plan on attending the pre-show and the main fest you should book some place to stay in or around Victoria or you’ll get stranded as the ferries close by the time the pre-show ends. We’ll start revealing bands in January!

Emma Goldman and Blue Youth made the Best Album Covers of 2025 by Cups’n’Cakes Pod. What was your favourite?
