As ZBR sales decline in our current economic slide into the ninth circle of hell, CanaDave must shift a lot of focus to Softseed Music, as things are really heating up over there. Besides landing some incredible artists recently (Smush, Dollie Rot, etc.), 2026 will be even more amazing, and it actually starts December 1st, 2025 with Mercy Necromancy! Speaking of Softseed Music, New Zealand’s Mieke and Softseed are teaming up for ‘Frau Eva’ to get on 12” vinyl. Not sure if there will be a pre-order for it or not, as we’re getting close to ordering but we’ll keep you in the loop. Hetta’s ‘Acetate’ is tracking hard, as it should as it combines the sass of The Blood Brothers, the unpredictability of The Locust, and the weirdness of Usurp Synapse into a completely new and cohesive album. Idioteq.com interviewed the band about their process to get here and it’s a great read. The tapes arrive at ZBR headquarters today so we’ll have pics later this week. 2025 - 11 - 01 /// Nuvolascura triple packs, Fainting Dreams released, Inosuke on Monday!

First and most importantly, shipping updates. Okay so the US store has sent out every Usurp order to my knowledge, while the Canada store has only done cds as the box containing our Usurp 2x12”s arrives in a week or so. The Canada store has sent off all of the other older release shipments like Shesmadefromsuede, Coup D’etat cds, etc., while the US store’s box with those arrives next week at which point they’ll be shipped out. All of the Nuvolscura orders should be shipped by mid-November. Bandcamp orders in the US are the last orders to go out and we haven’t forgotten about you, thank you for your patience.

The new Fainting Dreams album ‘You Can Be Anything’ premiered on Idioteq.com on the 30th of October, with the full release coming yesterday. There are 40 tapes over three variants, a swirl, a blue, and some test dips. The six songs are gorgeous, expansive, layered, all-encompassing pieces not unlike Ethel Cain and Lingua Ignota. Good lord of science almighty these 11 groovy, screamy, golden nuggets have a wonderful swing to them and some of the best vocals we’ve ever heard. If you combine I Hate Sex with Suis La Lune it’d sound something like this - fucking incredible. New art by Kyle Calvert design with two differnt inner j-card variants and a bunch of gorgeous tapes.

Magana is releasing ‘Teeth’ on Softseed Music! This LA-based solo project is incredible, and I’m super stoked to be helping her out with this and literally any release she takes part it. Heaven Through Violence x Rosemary Nods Upon The Grave is almost sold out! Goddamn that didn’t take long. We’ve got 3 left on Bandcamp, 2 in the Canada/International store, and a few in the U.S.A store. Larry is pretty much out already. Please remember that US Dave is outta town so no US store shipments will be going out until Aug 20th or so.
