Soastasphrenas released ‘Eris’ on Friday. You want a mentally trying, jarring, chaotic, blast to the earholes? Well hot damn this is your release. Part emo-violence, part mathcore, part noise rock, part electronic/ambient, these 9 songs will reconfigure your brain in the best possible way. Oh and those vinyl options are sick as fuck. Vinyl should be in hand in April.

Concealer 12” pre-orders for ‘This Room Could Be Heaven’ sold out in less than an hour, with the other half dropping alongside the full digital release on March 31st at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. Be there or definitely miss out on the first pressing of this soon-to-be masterpiece!

The sophomore Dagerman 12”LP ‘Di fronte a noi il nulla’ releases this Friday. You can jam two of the tracks by visiting the band’s bandcamp (linked to this text) and I’ve stuffed the finished LP promo pic below.

We picked up 8 copies of Othiel’s new 12” ‘World’s Fastest Car’ that we’ll on Wednesday March 18th at 9am PST / 11am CST /12pm EST. 4 in the US store, 2 in the Canada/International store, and 2 on bandcamp.

When Spain’s Crossed asks if they can play your fest, that’s a hard yes or you straight up don’t know what the hell you’re doing. Luckily I know what I’m doing so having this behemoth of a quartet back was a no-fucking brainer. Watch them demolish our 2024 fest above and jam/buy their new 12”LP before we sell out (the first two full lengths sold out, and this one will too) and then catch them at ZBR Fest 2026 in Vancouver!!! Wollruss is playing another show, this time in Vancouver at Red Gate with some local homies. This is our last show before the ZBR Fest pre-show (tickets linked to this text). I saw Filigree Silver God just over a year ago and they were awesome, I can’t even imagine how good they must be now!

Goddamn those early ZBR releases have started flyinjg out the door, as I think in the last two months we’ve sold our last copy of about 8 releases, with the next likely being Foxmoulder! The essential Toronto band’s 7”EP ‘Lethe’ is today’s Last Fucking Copy. Em (vocals) was instrumental (ha) in getting CanaDave into the Toronto scene back in 2013-2014, and the rest of the members went on to form Respire! This shall not be repressed. Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: FIGURE EIGHT = The guitarist of this band saw my Brahm tape and was like “hey, homies”. Then his band played and I was blown away. That vocalist sings beautifully but live it looks absolutely effortless. “hummingbird” is my pick. Can’t wait to hear what’s next!!!

2026 - 3 - 12 /// Concealer

In less than 24 hours we will put up half of our Concealer 12”LP copies as a pre-order, so on Friday March 13th at 12pm PST / 2pm CST / 3pm EST be sure to drop in and pick one up before they sell out. Their will be the third and final single accompanying the pre-order, with 12”s already en route to our US store from the plant. Full release is March 30th!!!

Soastaphrenas ‘Eris’ releases in full tomorrow on Tomb Tree, 12”s expected to be in hand and shipping come April. I’ll post pics of the release after it’s out in the next news post. The debut EP from Eeli (Fawn Limbs) and Ian (Micro Colossal) aka DITCH ORGAN is like watching the highlights from a horror movie separated by short acid trips. 5 songs in just 7 minutes, the race through chaos and orchestrated destruction is reminiscent of Thumbscrew, Machinist, The Chariot in their venomous, unrestrained and violent interpretation of breakneck metallic hardcore. This release is the catalyst for pushing Tomb Tree Tapes into new territory, as we are dumping the “Tapes” from our name as we don’t want to limit ourselves. Therefore you’ll find this stellar release on both cassette and 7” lathe. The marble swirl tapes are housed (primarily) in paper bags with the center burned out and the lyric insert/cover behind it. Lathes are double sided stereo 7”s, 25 clear and 25 black.

January 16th! That’s the day we release Advertising On The Channel Of Dreams’ five-song album on cassette! Take a gander at one of those gorgeous mystery/random swirls, and you haven’t even seen the primary show-stopper that has pearl varnish over the swirl but under the stamp! Fans of Via Fondo, Shirokuma, Chalk Hands, Rainmaking, and Rainmaker take note.

CanaDave filmed the Thank You Driver release show with five other sick bands. This is where all of the “Dyer Blueprint” music video footage came from, and Tomb Tree even picked up a new band at the show! There’s even a Cave In cover! Woot woot! This collection of EPs is an astounding example of creativity, balance, and intricacy. Weaving mind-blowing song structures, riffs saturated with notes, incredible basslines, and yelly screaming into one giant, ornate pillar of awesome. Illinois’ Lucio did this release almost single-handedly (w/some help from mutual friend Aeryn from Massa Nera) and has mixed the math of Capsule with the drive of Daitro and vocals of Crowning, without ripping off any of these bands. These aren’t weeds. This is New Grass.
