In less than 24 hours we will put up half of our Concealer 12”LP copies as a pre-order, so on Friday March 13th at 12pm PST / 2pm CST / 3pm EST be sure to drop in and pick one up before they sell out. Their will be the third and final single accompanying the pre-order, with 12”s already en route to our US store from the plant. Full release is March 30th!!!

Soastaphrenas ‘Eris’ releases in full tomorrow on Tomb Tree, 12”s expected to be in hand and shipping come April. I’ll post pics of the release after it’s out in the next news post. Be warned this features Alex of Spoiled so expect some crazy shit - and it’s fucking awesome. Jam the last single below!

My good friends in Hillsboro were a no-brainer to ask to play the fest, and upon seeing their new material (embedded above) last weekend I was like…goddamn, shit’s getting heavy. Lucidity has a music video from Poorly Crafted Music Videos that caught the attention of Unsigned Showcoase which then played/reacted to it. The debut EP from Eeli (Fawn Limbs) and Ian (Micro Colossal) aka DITCH ORGAN is like watching the highlights from a horror movie separated by short acid trips. 5 songs in just 7 minutes, the race through chaos and orchestrated destruction is reminiscent of Thumbscrew, Machinist, The Chariot in their venomous, unrestrained and violent interpretation of breakneck metallic hardcore. This release is the catalyst for pushing Tomb Tree Tapes into new territory, as we are dumping the “Tapes” from our name as we don’t want to limit ourselves. Therefore you’ll find this stellar release on both cassette and 7” lathe. The marble swirl tapes are housed (primarily) in paper bags with the center burned out and the lyric insert/cover behind it. Lathes are double sided stereo 7”s, 25 clear and 25 black.

Carrion Spring released on Friday in all its glory! Years and years of friendship, planning, recording, life, and a whole lot more went into this phenomenal full length ‘Those We’ve Lost and Continue to Lose’ which was recorded by Kurt Ballou at Atomic Garden Studios! Also this week, there’s a new distro drop on Wednesday that will include some key Dog Knights releases (Journal, Beau Navire, State Faults, etc.) then a Concealer 12” pre-order on Friday…what a week!

Today’s ZBR Fest 2026 Profile Feature is for Csilla’s Star Is Gone which features members of Coup D’etat, A Recorded Dawn, Mourn Recif, Wollruss, Bathtub Autopsy, and Hospice (to name a few lol) so there’s probably no better way to open ZBR Fest 2026 at the pre-show on May 1st, 2026 at Big Fernwood in Victoria on Vancouver Island. I saw them play their first show this past weekend and it was badass. They are the fist band in the video below, but you can also scope A Recorded Dawn and Hillsboro who are also playing the fest! Oh my god the day is finally here! Another decade-plus release is down to it’s last copy!!! This Montreal band ended up creating Yearning and Carcajou, two bands that ZBR are big fans of, but this release is more like Envy, Sed Non Satiata, and Amanda Woodward. There’s a sick video of them playing the Congratulations EP release show back in 2014 embedded above (make sure you get to that sweet sauce at 2:20+). Vibora’s new 12”LP ‘Egin Ez Dugun Guztia’ is out in full! Be sure to check it out, as it mixes the heaviness of Crossed with the melodic control of Boneflower. The vinyl is done but hasn’t shipped to us yet, so I think we’ll have’em and get them all out the door by the end of March. The stripe variant has turned into a tri-color due to heat…stuff. I dunno, that’s what the plant told us. Regardless, it’s sick!

With ZBR Fest 2026 about two-and-a-half months away, let’s take a second dip into the second ZBR Fest 2026 Profile Feature. I don’t feel like Victoria BC’s A Recorded Dawn gets enough love, but maybe that’s because I get to see them every months. Their most recent split with Mourn Recif and their Zampler #25 contribution show the band’s evolution into dark, atmospheric screamo not unlike Ostraca, Infant Island, and Ambretta. 2026 - 2 - 06 /// Mieke's 'frau eva' 12" pre-order + Biological Fathers on Sunday!

New Zealand’s Mieke released the incredible ‘Frau Eva’ in August of 2025 and Softeed Music was all over that, so they’ve got some “funfetti cake edition” 12”LPs that should be shipping in late April. If you like grungy-yet-beautiful shoegaze mixed with minimal ethereal singer/songwriter material.

Oh and in uhhhhh…completely unrelated news, we’ll be posting the ZBR Fest tickets next week! We’ll have the tickets up for the two-day fest on May 2nd and 3rd in Vancouver at Red Gate, with the May 1st pre-show following the week after.

Today you can get a sneak peak at the all-star release from Biological Fathers coming out in full this Sunday, as the band just put up the opener “Caddy”. ZBR had cds for the full release this Super Bowl Sunday at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. These three songs are phenomenal and feature members from Frail Body, Crowning, New Grass, Eyelet, and Majorel! Holy fuck!!!

Clout Funeral’s new EP ‘For Pepper…’ releases on Monday via Tomb Tree! This thing is wicked and honestly sounds a lot like it was written 25 years ago, giving it a huge throwback feel whilst incorporating their own unique spin on it. We made a buncha tapes but with most going to the band we’ll only be keeping 25 so be sure to check it out upon its release! 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST…you know the drill.
