2026 - 5 - 21 /// Emma Goldman repress + Letterstoyou tapes!

May 21, 2026 by David Norman

Emma Goldman’s breakout debut full length ‘all you are is we’ is back on 12”, this time on cornetto (transparent yellow w/red spokes) out of 200. The band has 50 for their upcoming Euro tour as well as another 50 for local shows, and we’ve got the other 100. In the top 10 ZBR releases ever, hands down.

Letterstoyou has their first three releases compiled onto one insane cassette titled ‘a shoebox of letterstoyou’ on May 25th but I’m putting up the leftover ZBR Fest 2026 variant tomorrow (that’s Friday May 22nd!) at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. There will be about 10 for sale in the US store and the Canada/International store.

Sungaze’s ‘I’m No Longer Afraid of Heights’ releases in full on Friday! To help pass the time until the dreamy shoegaze drops, you can check out the interview with Ivory and Ian on the Ifitbeyourwill podcast. Scope that above and check out the pre-order and singles below!

Click here for the full list!

Orphan Donor’s ‘Ailments’ made Monuments In Ruin’s most recent round-up. Definitely check it out, as it’s truly an experience - both exciting and haunting. Click on the pic above or this text to go to the full article. Jam/buy cds below.

Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to Respire ‘Gravity and Grace’ 12”LP first pressing on black /100 (aka the rarest of the vinyl variants from this release!). When I was variant collecting for my label I had up to six different variants of this release, and that’s just fucking stupid when you release 500+ things, so someone gets a time machine to 2014-2015 when we dropped this fucking masterpiece. Snag it now (below) or forever hold your peace.

Operation X-Ray continues to play banger after banger, and last week Soastasphrenas, Orphan Donor, and I.O. were played. There will be another new episode tonight on Tuff City Radio!

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: MAGE TEARS = I can’t get enough of Nicole’s amazing voice. I loved this project a lot but after seeing her at ZBR Fest I am jamming this shit daily. Can’t wait for the new record!

2026 - 5 - 15 /// Orphan Donor and I.O. released!

May 15, 2026 by David Norman

Hello friends! We’ve got some huge changeups happening at ZBR as we lead into summer, and things will never be same. What’s the news? You’ll see, but we can definitely call it the next chapter of Zegema Beach Records.

Until then check out Orphan Donor and I.O. both of which released in the last week.

1 white.jpg 2 orange swirl.jpg 3 random.jpg

I.O. just released ‘The Beatniks Couldn’t Save The World’ which is Max from Wollruss and Pet Retina, and is an absolute beast of drummer. This release has him coupled with long-time collaborator JP who weaves an intricate web of poetry amidst the chaos. Truly incredible stuff! Tomb Tree made tapes for this but out of 200 copies we’ve only got 30 as this guy tour relentlessly…and is actually on tour right now!

I knew Fingerswoventogether were sick cuz their first EP was awesome but the new EP is phenomenal - but at ZBR Fest I puked my brain outta my mouth. Insane shit. So fucking good. Etc. Larry Records is out of the 10”, we’re down to less than 10 copies, and Severed Records should have some too.

On the most recent Operation X-Ray played new Orphan Donor and Fingerswoventogether, both of which are the two releases flying out of our stores so snag those soon or it’ll be too late.

Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to Snag’s ‘Death Doula’ and to you I pose a question…why the fuck do I still have this? We sold out of our copies ages ago, got a few more, sold all of those years ago save this one copy. This one fucking copy is still here. If you don’t own it jump on it (12” embedded above, listen below) or forever hold your peace.

Fainting Dreams were included on Everything Is Noise best of April 2026 round-up. Check out their full list by clicking on the pic above or this text. Scope the band’s new EP if you haven’t already, as it ties together two of my favourite genres that rarely meet. Features Elle from Athousandangelsandseven on vocals and guitar!!!

Concealer’s debut 12”LP ‘This Room Could Be Heaven’ got the This Noise Is Ours treatment and they rocked it. Click on the pic above or this test to read the full article, listen below. Music video imminent!

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: FALL OF MESSIAH = Oooo new album is out from these French post-hardcore/screamo experts - embedded below. We’ve got some copies of their previous album that we released on cassette embedded above!

2026 - 5 - 09 /// ZBR Fest over, Orphan Donor next!

May 09, 2026 by David Norman

Holy fuck, ZBR Fest was insane. Lots more news on that but here’s a post with lotsa useful information.

First, above is Wollruss at pre-show. Should be recording this fall/winter.

Second, Beau Navire demo 10”s went up but there’s like a few left at most. You can also Mahria/Watcher 7”s and All Through A Life 7”s from Clue #2 Records - thanks Hieg!!!

Third, Orphan Donor album premiere stream now and full release on Monday! Scope that premiere by clicking on this text or the pic below.

Fourth, I’ll put up the remaining ZBR Fest variant versions of the Letterstoyou cassette on Monday that doesn’t technically release until May 25th! Only 20 were made and there’s only about 10 left!!!

Click here for the full album preimere and article!

Click here for the full article and premiere!

I.O. had a premiere for their first and only single from the upcoming ‘The Beatniks Couldn’t Save The World’ cassette EP and goes on tour next week! Max from Wollruss is the mastermind behind the insanity, chaos, and inherent beauty of experimental jazz drumming, but when combined with JP’s vocal stylings it becomes like a crazy mixture of Hella and La Dispute. Truly incredible stuff! Click the pic above or this text for the premiere, jam the song below if you don’t have the time to check out the article.

There was a Metal Injection full album premiere that I totally missed for the new Detach The Islands EP/collections released today. ‘Concrete Jungle’ contains some covers (Poison The Well, Death Grips), unreleased jams, and some alternate versions, with the cassettes including a massive audio interview between the band and CanaDave. Check that shit out! Click on the text here to go to the premiere, pics above, album below.

Operation X-Ray played the almighty Drive Your Plow Over The Bones Of The Dead as well as jams from Fingerswoventogether and Detach The Islands! The cds have been flying so snag the ‘collected’ Jens years asap! By the way their new material at ZBR Fest 2026 was fucking mindblowing!!!

Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to a killer and seemingly semi-slept on release in North America, our second NIONDE PLÅGAN release on 12” for ‘Reflektion’ (the black variant). Incredible posty screamo in the vein of Envy, Respire, Heaven In Her Arms, Locktender, and Suffocate For Fuck Sake. Snag it below (or by clicking on this text) or forever hold your peace.

Click here for the full scrub!

Toliet OV Hell’s April Anti-fascist Scrub included Fainting Dreams, Dental Office Parking, and Drive Your Plow Over The Bones Of The Dead. I really love the idea of this recurring segment, and I should note that pins for Dental Office Parking came in so if you order a 3”cd you get a pin for free! Yay!!! Click on the pic above or this text for the Scrub, get Dental Office Parking below.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: CARTHAGE = This Kiwi screamo band wrote these songs in high school? Goddamn!!!

2026 - 4 - 04 /// Fainting Dreams premiere + ZBR Fest 2026 is one month away!!!

April 04, 2026 by David Norman

Fainting Dreams releases in full on Monday April 6th but New Noise has a full EP premiere going down right now! The incredible mixture of gorgeous bits and crushing, posty black metal is untouchable but will definitely appease fans of Oathbreaker, Chelsea Wolfe, Shedfromthebody, and Deafheaven. Click on the pic above or this text for the full premiere. Jam their previous (and softer) album below.

Click here for the full roundup!

Concealer came out and, as predicted, sold out same day. ‘This Room Could Be Heaven’ ripped up the scene immediately and I promise you’ll be seeing way more of them in the future. You can check out No Clean Singing’s ‘Things You May Have Missed But Shouldn’t’ list which is linked above and to this text. Jam the album below, but sadly, no more vinyl until it’s repress time.

Today’s ZBR Fest 2026 Profile Feature is for Jisei! Featuring members/ex-members of Androgyne, Lord Wrought, Sissy XO, and Emma Goldman and have been kicking ass around here for the better part of half-a-decade. Here’s a clip of them at the Coup D’etat release show, and you can click on this text to get tickets to the fest !!!

The second half of the Everything Remade podcast aired (part I is linked here) with Adam of Carrion Spring! Another great listen, embedded above. Jam the album below and catch them at the ZBR Fest pre-show AND the main fest!

Speaking of Jisei, CanaDave will be in attendance at the the above show with distro in hand. Hope to see you there! Josh from Wollruss also plays in Csilla’s Star Is Gone and the Wollruss drummer Max is in Pet Retina! Also, a member of Mourn Recif (Drue/bass) plays in Internal Dialogue so check out this show below if you can.

Click here for the full list!

March’s Anti-Fascist Scrub from Toilet OV Hell rounded up our very own Dagerman for their list. Love it. Click on the pic above or this text to go there. Jam/buy below.

Thought I’d post this Wollruss video from our most recent show. Twas fun.

Great news! Vibora has arrived in the U.S.A. so we’ll get those out to everyone asap, but please remember that the US has to send more copies to Canada for some orders so everyone’s should be in transit in April! Soastasphrenas also showed up but it’s only partially here so most copies can’t go out yet, but we’re working on it!

Click here for the full interview!

So in less than 24 hours the Concealer 12”LP ‘This Room Could Be Heaven’ releases! Tuesday March 31st at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST on 250 vinyl (although 100 copies are with the band and we already sold half of our copies during the pre-order) so if you are late you will 100% miss out on this first pressing. They just released an interview with Idioteq.com which you can access by clicking on the pic above or this text. Jam the first three singles here which is also where all the store links will show up on release day!

Today’s ZBR Fest 2026 Profile Feature is for Clay Birds who not only rocked the fest last year, but are playing both the pre-show AND the main fest this year! Yep, they’re that good. They’re also awesome people so that always helps. They released a wicked EP last year on ZBR and play a very original concoction of emo, screamo, hardcore, and rock. Click on this text to get tickets to the fest and see them live!!!

Carrion Spring had a wicked feature and interview with Idioteq.com about their new album ‘those We’ve Lost and Continue to Lose’. There’s a ton of interesting info about the band, the process, the recording, and how their grief coalesced into something incredible. Click on the pic above or this text to read the full thing. Listen/buy their new album below!

Wollruss played a show last week with some killer bands at the same venue that ZBR Fest is taking place at! Below you can scope some live footage from them alongside Teeth To Your Throat, Often Wrong, and Filigree Silver God.

Click here for the full post including additional links etc.

CanaDave had Nicole aka Mage Tears on the 195th OMSB podcast. Mage Tears is also playing ZBR Fest 2026 so give this podcast a listen, jam her material, and pick up a fest ticket so you can see her slow things down and provide some lanes for introspection. It was an honor talking to her and can’t wait for this new album. Click on the pic above or this text for the full post, or just listen to the podcast below.

Operation X-Ray played a ton of bangers (as per usual) and our very own Dagerman got played as well as Softseed Music’s Hillsboro with a new song off their upcoming album.

Gxllium! isn’t ready yet, and that’s totally cool. It’ll be worth the wait, and while you are waiting pick up this last copy of their previous album on cassette, as it is Today’s Last Fucking Copy. Snag it below or forever hold your peace.
