2023 - 10 - 12 /// No Funeral distro update!

October 12, 2023 by David Norman

We’ve got a couple of distro updates coming before 2023 ends, the first being this stack of No Funeral 12”s, 7”s, and tapes! Available in both store via the links below!!!

U.S.A. store = https://zbrusa.com/collections/all

Canada/International = https://www.zegemabeachrecords.com/specials

Onewaymirror released their debut full length yesterday to a lotta people freaking out, as they should. Vinyl coming from Tomb Tree this December!

The single-albumed Olam was the subject of our most recent Out Past the Rings. Oooooooooooollllaaaaaaaaaammmmmmm. Some tapes still in stock. Listen to ‘I Will Guide Thy Hand’ here.

To Forget received an excellent review from This Noise Is Ours, so click on this text or the pic above to go there. We’ve also got some 7” lathes still in stock (and yes they really do sound like regular vinyl) so nab those below.

The Coma Regalia cover compilation cassette got some love over at Brooklyn Vegan for their new songs out on that particular day. Tapes are gettin’ low, let’s get that money to Edie! Click on the pic above or this text for the article, and/or jam/buy it below!

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: VOTIVE = We’ve got a tape in each store from this powerhouse featuring members of Gas Up Yr. Hearse!, Respire, Foxmoulder, etc.

2023 - 10 - 10 /// New Closet Witch song!

October 10, 2023 by David Norman

Today we revealed the first single from Closet Witch’s new album ‘Chiaroscuro’. There will be a music video releasing next week along with 12” pre-orders on October 16th. The full release is November 3rd. This thing is MENACING, to say the least. Jam it and pre-order the digitals below!

The One Who Became Many - A Tribute to Coma Regalia released yesterday with overwhelming love and support for Edie and gang. Please consider donating on bandcamp if you can’t purchase a tape, as the digital sales for the next 30 days will go to Coma Regalia and Edie’s family.

CanaDave chatted with the dudes in Onewaymirror via his (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))) podcast. Their self-titled full length releases at the stroke of midnight! You can find it from our more responsible half, Tomb Tree. Click on this text or the picture above to go to the full post, or jam the single below.

Riversleem got a sick review from Moshpit Nation. The Canadian copies are already all gone and only the U.S. store copies remain! Click on the picture above or this text for the review, and you can jam the EP below.

Niboowin was discussed in the latest Ninehertz Podcast to glowing reviews. Really dig this podcast, they know their stuff!

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: CLOSET WITCH = Damn, maybe you don’t know Closet Witch. Get acquainted!!!

2023 - 10 - 08 /// Inosuke premiere

October 08, 2023 by David Norman

Inosuke is a new band featuring Jason of Locktender/Men As Trees (guitar/vox) and Erik of Lord Snow/Stormlight (drums) doing a mixture of pummeling German metallic hardcore (think Trainwreck) and introspective post-hardcore/screamo (think Stormlight). Is it as good as you’d think? Oh, it’s fucking better. Digital/12”LPs should be out December, with a slight chance of the 12”s being in hand early January…we’ll see! Click on the pic above or this text to go to the premiere, or just jam it below.

The One Who Became Many - A Tribute to Coma Regalia releases in just under 24 hours (at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST) so here are the variants! 45 light blue/gold swirl, 30 blue, 20 dark blue/pink swirl, and 5 test dips w/matching swirl case!

Social Caterpillar’s ‘Alphabet Crown’ came out yesterday on Softseed Music and it’s incredible! A friend told me they sound like a mixture of Pygmy Lush, Okkervil River, old Manchester Orchestra, Margot & The Nuculear So and So's, and The Decemberists. Looks like I need to go check out all those bands!!! 12”s and tapes available!

There are a few unshipped orders from the Canada/International store for a couple reasons that will be out the door next week, this is because 1) I had the kids by myself for 11 days straight, 2) the shipping boxes I ordered took 3 days last time, this time they won’t be here until 17 days after ordering (they are set to arrive on Oct 13th), and 3) we had some Porcelain Joliette’s go missing so if your order hasn’t shipped expect an apology email and a substitute/refund option (there are only 3 orders that have this issue). Full transparency. Thanks for the support ya’ll.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: SOLVALOU = This band features Joseph, formerly of Malevich, Under A Sky So Blue, and that other newer band I’m forgetting the name of. Demo EP coming out on ZBR in the near future!
