Congratulations In Loving Memory

In Loving Memory first release in 20 years is out in full! Digitals and cassettes are available/shipping next week! The band also has 12”s for sale/pre-order and that closes in just a few short days. The fact that we were asked to make tapes for this is a serious compliment that we did not take lightly, we are truly honored. Snag’em now, they won’t last long! I also found two full length stragglers so they’re up in the store too, right next to the new EP :)

The big mage news over here is that one of our favourite releases, all the way back at #30, is the Congratulations cassette. We spoke with No Funeral Records well over a year ago about doing vinyl and this Wednesday July 26th our plans come to fruition. If you have no idea who Congratulations is then feel free to peep this release show in Hamilton that CanaDave put on back in 2014, linked here, with Terry Green and Nous Etions.

Rotting In Dirt kicked off the upstairs show during the last night and unveiled two new songs from an upcoming split…and wowza! So good!!! We will continue posting the single videos for each band that played the last day of ZBR Fest 2023 in the order that they played, so there’s more coming!

Softseed Music released ‘Alaska’ by Uno Lady earlier this year and her tranquil music videos are making the rounds. The label has another release lined up for next week!

As revealed last post, the Dear Diary This Is From My Teenage Angst To My Adult Self releases on July 30th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. Here are the promo pics of each variant! 30 red swirl, 15 halfsies swirl, 10 white, and 5 test dips!

A final reminder to check in later this week for Orchid’s ‘Gatefold’ repress on 12”LP. We got just over 20 copies. They should be arriving any day now.

Also coming up is an old ZBR release that’s so incredible that we had to put it to 12” mage alongside our family at No Funeral Records. July 26th. It’ll be nuts. Announcement comes July 20th! That’s fucking tomorrow, yo!!!

In Loving Memory has their full EP premiere of ‘A Gentler Sun’ going down a day before the EP’s full release on July 21st via Everything Is Noise. The tapes are /80, 35 grey, and then 10 of each swirl variant plus five test dips.

Tomb Tree is releasing the split between Loose Teeth and Constraint. The first Constraint song was premiered yesterday on Brooklyn Vegan and features none other than Thomas Erak of The Fall Of Troy! Full release is July 31st!!! Click on this text or the pic to go to the premiere.

The fresh announcement today is the full release of DEAR DIARY THIS IS FROM MY TEENAGE ANGST TO MY ADULT SELF’s brand-spankin new EP to start off the 50-song collections tape!!! The new EP is titled ‘A Harvest of My Own Ignorance’ from the collections tape‘A Harvest of My Own Foolishness’. Sammy Gurule from Warren Of Ohms did the art and provides guest vocals on several new tracks. Check out that beauty! And if you missed it, there’s been a new song streaming since June 30th on Zampler #21!

Germany’s Flirt has an upcoming split cassette/12” coming out next month with friends OrbitCinta Benjamin! Tomb Tree has had these tapes done for almost 5 months so we are very stoked to get this out into the world! Check out the first single “Morsch” by Flirt now!!! Dave dipped back into an Out Past the Rings, the 164th, for JOLIETTE’s latest LP and final album with their original vocalist/guitarist Fernando. (listen/download here)

Jeromes Dream closed out the first night of ZBR Fest 2023 and did so in epic fashion, with tons of heart, lots of humbleness, and one helluva set. Interesting note, CanaDave did a podcast with vocalist/bassist Jeff that should pop up tomorrow on the (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))) blog! Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: CROCHET = Jon from Heavenly Blue told me that this band was the future. If they write more jams like “Ancient Roman Candle” there’s no way I could possibly disagree.

Yep, Orchid’s ‘Gatefold’ has already been shipped to us so we’ll get them online next week for sale. Ebullition coming in huge. We got just over 20 copies.

In Loving Memory released their final single off of ‘A Gentler Sun’ before the EP’s full release on July 21st. Here’s the single, and I just finished the tapes today! Promo pics coming Monday!!!

The new Seasons Worn EP ‘A Flower In Faith’ is out and kicking ass. Tomb Tree released this cassette on 53 copies and the band’s got 20 so we’ve only got about 30 for sale between the two stores, with the Canada store selling more than half of it’s stock in the first few hours.

This Noise Is Ours plugged another ZBR release with their Roster Review series, this time focusing on the arguably perfect ‘moments’ by Japan’s Sans Visage. I’m pretty sure we’re sold out, save maybe one copy in this store, although it might be a Utarid version. Click on the pic above or this text to go to the review.

Repeating their “what the FUCK was that?” response from last year’s fest, Meth. knows how to wow a crowd, plain and simple. It didn’t hurt that they played their entire new LP in full that doesn’t come out until 2024. We were a buncha lucky ducks, I tell ya. 2023 - 07 - 07 /// Nhomme's Second Course

Nhomme’s 2023 EP sold out months back and today we release the second run of cassettes. 152 more copies were made, variants include 95 white/black/silver sparkle (almost all band copies), 35 multi-color swirl, 10 purple swirl, 4 test dips, 5 bandcamp-exclusive stamped bag editions, and 3 clear. They release on the hour, today at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. I gotta head out to band practice so the bandcamp editions are live now!!!

Seasons Worn releases this Friday! Here are the variants for this awesome metalcore EP from Vancouver. One of the best heavy albums of the year got yet another review, as Telos continues to dominate the Best Of 2023 metal category (for me, at least). We got some 12”s in stock as well as the Tomb Tree tapes but the Canada/International store already sold out, US copies are the only ones that remain!
