The fresh announcement today is the full release of DEAR DIARY THIS IS FROM MY TEENAGE ANGST TO MY ADULT SELF’s brand-spankin new EP to start off the 50-song collections tape!!! The new EP is titled ‘A Harvest of My Own Ignorance’ from the collections tape‘A Harvest of My Own Foolishness’. Sammy Gurule from Warren Of Ohms did the art and provides guest vocals on several new tracks. Check out that beauty! And if you missed it, there’s been a new song streaming since June 30th on Zampler #21!

A friendly reminder to check in this week for Orchid’s ‘Gatefold’ repress on 12”LP. We got just over 20 copies.

Also coming up is an old ZBR release that’s so incredible that we had to put it to 12” mage alongside our family at No Funeral Records. July 26th. It’ll be nuts. Announcement comes July 20th!

In Loving Memory has their full EP premiere of ‘A Gentler Sun’ going down a day before the EP’s full release on July 21st /80. Here’s the primary variant! There are also four swirl variants to match each song single art, each /10.

Germany’s Flirt has an upcoming split cassette/12” coming out next month with friends OrbitCinta Benjamin! Tomb Tree has had these tapes done for almost 5 months so we are very stoked to get this out into the world! Check out the first single “Morsch” by Flirt now!!! Jeromes Dream closed out the first night of ZBR Fest 2023 and did so in epic fashion, with tons of heart, lots of humbleness, and one helluva set. Interesting note, CanaDave did a podcast with vocalist/bassist Jeff that should pop up tomorrow on the (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))) blog! We will continue posting the single videos for each band that played the last day of ZBR Fest 2023 in the order that they played, so there’s more coming!

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: CROCHET = Jon from Heavenly Blue told me that this band was the future. If they write more jams like “Ancient Roman Candle” there’s no way I could possibly disagree.

2023 - 07 - 14 /// Orchid is on its way

Yep, Orchid’s ‘Gatefold’ has already been shipped to us so we’ll get them online next week for sale. Ebullition coming in huge. We got just over 20 copies.

Also coming up is an old ZBR release that’s so incredible that we had to put it to 12” mage alongside our family at No Funeral Records. July 26th. It’ll be nuts.

In Loving Memory released their final single off of ‘A Gentler Sun’ before the EP’s full release on July 21st. Here’s the single, and I just finished the tapes today! Promo pics coming Monday!!!

The new Seasons Worn EP ‘A Flower In Faith’ is out and kicking ass. Tomb Tree released this cassette on 53 copies and the band’s got 20 so we’ve only got about 30 for sale between the two stores, with the Canada store selling more than half of it’s stock in the first few hours.

This Noise Is Ours plugged another ZBR release with their Roster Review series, this time focusing on the arguably perfect ‘moments’ by Japan’s Sans Visage. Repeating their “what the FUCK was that?” response from last year’s fest, Meth. knows how to wow a crowd, plain and simple. It didn’t hurt that they played their entire new LP in full that doesn’t come out until 2024. We were a buncha lucky ducks, I tell ya. Nhomme’s 2023 EP sold out months back and today we release the second run of cassettes. 152 more copies were made, variants include 95 white/black/silver sparkle (almost all band copies), 35 multi-color swirl, 10 purple swirl, 4 test dips, 5 bandcamp-exclusive stamped bag editions, and 3 clear. They release on the hour, today at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. I gotta head out to band practice so the bandcamp editions are live now!!!

One of the best heavy albums of the year got yet another review, as Telos continues to dominate the Best Of 2023 metal category (for me, at least). We got some 12”s in stock as well as the Tomb Tree tapes but the Canada/International store already sold out, US copies are the only ones that remain! Jesse Mowery is a goddamned hero. His screamo output has been both consistent and incredible, starting off in the screamo scene with Altar Of Complaints, then moving into a ton of stuff including Majorel, In Wolves’ Clothing, Apostles Of Eris, Our Future Is An Absolute Shadow…this list goes on. He’s had a rough go to say the least, and after missing work for sciatica pain he’s financially hurtin’. Please donate some money to him and his family, he’s only $800 from reaching his $5,000 goal. Saton has a new album coming out later this year and they just debuted the first single/music video “Noni” on the ZBR youtube channel. Tomb Tree is taking care of the tapes for this release. Much more to come from this stellar Mexican hardcore/metal/screamo band!

Ninehertz Podcast gave us a hella bump when discussing Zampler 21 and the new Riversleem song contained therein. It’s a great podcast that focuses primarily on doom but definitely branches out, hence our inclusion!

Neuman Portentum came out on the 2nd and kicked some serious asses. It’s nuts to think this was recorded 25 years ago! Snag’em now, Canada/International store is down to it’s last copy!
