ZBR fest 2025 videos & Shoganai released

ZBR Fest 2025 is over, but the memories live on through the video documentaries that we released a few days back. Check out the main fest video below. There’s also a pre-show video that you can check out by clicking on this text!

Shoganai’s debut EP was released on cassette by yours truly earlier this week to much acclaim. The self-titled came out in 2024 but we love it so much that we had to make a run of it. Only 53 made, for fans of Mahria, Blind Girls, and New Forms.

Serrate’s debut 12”LP ‘even the wind sounds dead’ officially announced! This absolutely ridiculous album is gonna blow people away as it combines the metallic hardcore of Converge and Crossed with the screamo of Orchid. Not sold yet? Jam that first single below, and prep yourself for the next single that releases on Monday through Not Just A Phase.

Nuvolascura continues to be reviewed and slobbered over by blogs, the latest saliva pool comes from Sputnik Music which you can access by clicking on the pic above or this text.

Big Stuff Thing now! Tests, stuff that was previously sold out, and sale items are available in the U.S.A. store here and Canada/International here. These products/headings will disappear in just under 24 hours at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST on Tuesday June 10th, so act now or miss out, your call!

Stuntman‘s first full length in a decade comes out this Thursday on Tomb Tree. We made 37 cassettes with a massive j-card filled with lyrics, with all variants coming swirled. Full release at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST on June 12th.

Poetry Of Torch x Gil Cerrone split cds next Monday June 16th! Two brand new tracks from each band.

Exclaim put Emma Goldman’s ‘all you are is we’ 12”LP cracked the Top 25 of 2025 so far (actually, they broke into the top 10!). We’ve got like 2 “blob” copies left on bandcamp and this Canada store then they’re gone and only “red” remains, which are already more than half sold out as well! I Promised The World was the most recent subject of the ZBR Roster Review series by This Noise Is Ours. The last few copies we had held back were sold immediately yesterday when the Big Stuff Thing went live. I don’t expect a repress anytime soon and this was the last release under the name Sinema. Operation X-Ray played some fuckin’ jams on Friday including new Nuvolascura, a Rosemary Nods Upon The Grave track (who are now on tour), and Carrion Spring’s premiere.

Othiel’s new album ‘World’s Fastest Car’ is officially out on cd! The physicals arrive at our US store on Wednesday and we’ll start shipping them out then. This new release includes re-recorded versions of their Palefade. split as well as five brand new jams of epic, devastating, and gorgeous screamo/post-hardcore. We only made 200 and shot some to the band for their upcoming tour with Knumears.

Ooo baby it’s double release day, as Tomb Tree just dropped the new andthecanaryfell. EP on cassette titled ‘As The Ice Melts’ and it’s a fucking nightmare collection of five songs that will test your brain’s resolve. Featuring members of Fallingwithscissors, this band creates a lush and crushing atmosphere not unlike Meth. and Detach The Islands. Clear /45, swirl /30, and test dips /6. Snag’em now!

Everything Remade had Victoria (vocals) of Emma Goldman on and it’s a great listen! Also we are down to just 10 copies of blob variant between ZBR Canada (ships worldwide though/linked here) and our bandcamp (embedded below). US store is sold out!

The Crowning x Oaktails split 12” came out on Friday via ZBR and Larry so snag a copy now before we sell out. We ALWAYS sell out of Crowning stuff pretty quickly and the band has a few shows with in mid-June where they will shed all of their copies.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: VALATIA = Oh shit this album is amazing. Both jarring and beautiful, if you like Aspartame, Burial Etiquette, or Clay Birds but want it a tad heavier you need to scope this immediately.

2025 - 04 - 14 /// Blue Youth tomorrow, Sutras on Wednesday!

Nuvolascura has a new album coming out in July. We will be co-releasing alongside the always awesome Icorrupt Records in Europe. It’s their heaviest material to date and oh my god it’s incredible.

Blue Youth’s sophomore 12”LP ‘Defeatist’ releases this Tuesday April 15th! We made 300 copies of this one (their debut LP was /200 and it’s sold out) and put’em on green wax, with The Ghost Is Clear Records co-releasing with us cuz they love the band as much as we do. Their new album definitely gets heavier than their previous material but retains the band’s sassy, rockin’ foundation. You can scope their final premiere in the most recent Operation X-Ray episode linked below (you’ll also find Lord Wrought and Mahria in there) for “Patient Patient”. Full release is Tuesday at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST!!!

Bloom Dream tapes are down to the literal last copies of the 2nd run, Bandcamp has a white and gold injection, while this store has a random and gold injection. Then we mad out…again.

Demersal has a new EP releasing in the fall but they’ve dropped a music video now cuz why the hell not? This song shows the band’s maturity and expansion into new genres as it isn’t just screamo, it’s also got some gorgeous clean singing as well as the heaviest gutteral growls to date, showcasing their ability to traverse new terrain and doing it well. We still have 7” copies left of their previous LP but I think we’re totally sold out of their 2024 12”.

The final Sutras song premiere went up on Foxy Digitalis a few days back and I just took promo pics for the tape variants. There’s 20 swirl, 10 yellow, 5 brown, and 3 test dips. Wicked post-hardcore with shoegaze and indie elements. Click on the pic below or this text to go to the premiere!

The ‘all you are is we’ 12”s have arrived at CanaDave’s house and by golly they look awesome. If you don’t like yellow or red you’re gonna get pissed, but for everyone else this color scheme fucking rocks. Includes lyrics insert and comes in a yellow inner jacket to really smack your senses. I also played with them last weekend and they destroyed. Their full set can be viewed above. Helluva time. Release show poster below

Avery Friedman got some love via Klof Mag for her ‘New Thing’ 12”LP releasing April 18th on Softseed. I’m obsessed with this thing and even have an upcoming podcast with her that should release sometime before the album drops in full. Absolutely stellar stuff. Adobe Homes released two new songs from the upcoming 12”LP that we’ll be helping release this summer/fall. This thing has been years in the works and it kicks so much ass. You can catch’em at ZBR Fest in May!

2024 - 10 - 13 /// Nuvolascura cds on Monday!

We’ve made cds of the two Nuvolascura full lengths (100 of each) alongside the band, but we’ve only got 25 of each! These release on Monday in both stores and our bandcamp, then it’s prep time before we absolutely pummel you with amazingness in November with new Senza, new Concealer, and new Gxllium!

This store got another distro update, this time with a lot of rando stuff and updates on long sold out releases. Definitely check our bandcamp for final copies shed by CanaDave including Iwroteyourhaikusaboutcannibalisminyouryearbook, Rainmaking, Blind Girls, In Loving Memory, and Komuso/Setsuko. There’s also a bunch of ZBR pencils & single items from Wax Vessel that we got some extra copies of, including the ZBR->WV logo switch shirt!
