Magana is releasing ‘Teeth’ on Softseed Music! This LA-based solo project is incredible, and I’m super stoked to be helping her out with this and literally any release she takes part it. This 12” lathe (20 black and 20 clear) releases Tuesday September 16th, and we’ll have a few copies in both ZBR stores as well as the Softseed Bandcamp. Serrate’s ‘even the wind sounds dead’ 12”LP are out! We some red and some mucus, as well as a few tests! All are linked in the Bandcamp embed below, and remember that our stores are cheaper than the Bandcamp copies!

Athousandangelsandseven’s debut self-titled EP is finally getting that sweet, sweet vinyl treatment. We did 163 clear and 85 black and these suckas will release on Sunday September 14th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST alongside Big Stuff Thing #7!!! More info on that next post <3

Naufraage is next on Tomb Tree and will be released as soon as the vinyl arrives (although we’re doing tapes only). Until then we can at least announce the split between Oshera and Tamsen. I just got the masters to this and it’s wicked, with the rest of humanity getting to join the party on October 6th!

Cali’s Magana will be releasing on Softseed Music! This incredible solo project by Jeni Magana is a phenomenal listen, with 2024’s ‘Teeth’ coming out next week on 12” lathe /40, as well as 2025’s ‘Bad News’ EP that might show up on cassette in the near future! Jeni is a great human and very active in tons of projects including (but not limited to) Pen Pin, Mitske, Lady Lamb. Check out CanaDave’s interview with her below, pics coming next post!

Bok Suna got a great writeup on Tinnitist which you should check out. ‘Carnate’ was released Aug 29th and it’s making CanaDave’s best of 2025 list without a doubt. The Not Just A Phase Vol.3 compilation released yesterday! Some variants are already gone so don’t sleep on this killer 24-track tape (one song is a cassette exclusive) bursting with previously unreleased tracks from: Captain Jazz, Claire Voyancé, Coup D’état, Demersal, Drought, Gil Cerrone, Floating Woods, Garland Briggs, Geronimostilton, Heavens Blinding Hue, Hynoki, Lagrimas, Leda, Letterbombs, Módulo Lunar, Mourn Recif, myhateisabeautifulexistence, Of Death…, Our Future Is An Absolute Shadow, Retratros De Heroína, and Youth Novel.

Usurp Synapse’s ‘Disinformation Fix’ is just waiting on an updated/final invoice then we can release the pre-orders. This will likely be next week but I’ll have a proper update here first with an actual date and time. The 2x12” releases on 500 units of random colored vinyl with gatefold covers and die-cuts or perhaps laser cuts (that’s the last thing we’re deciding on). Please remember these WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL NOVEMBER. That includes orders with additional items in the order, the entire order will be held until November. When’s that? Shipping in November. Okay, got it. November.

Speaking of little delays the Twins pre-order and music video were pushed back a bit in order for the video production team to not be rushed. More info on that as it becomes available.

ZBR Fest 2025 is over, but the memories live on through the video documentaries that we released a few days back. Check out the main fest video below. There’s also a pre-show video that you can check out by clicking on this text!

Shoganai’s debut EP was released on cassette by yours truly earlier this week to much acclaim. The self-titled came out in 2024 but we love it so much that we had to make a run of it. Only 53 made, for fans of Mahria, Blind Girls, and New Forms.

Serrate’s debut 12”LP ‘even the wind sounds dead’ officially announced! This absolutely ridiculous album is gonna blow people away as it combines the metallic hardcore of Converge and Crossed with the screamo of Orchid. Not sold yet? Jam that first single below, and prep yourself for the next single that releases on Monday through Not Just A Phase.

Nuvolascura continues to be reviewed and slobbered over by blogs, the latest saliva pool comes from Sputnik Music which you can access by clicking on the pic above or this text.
