Scenario dropped their final single “Tracers” a few days before the official release of ‘When All Is Said And Done’ (Monday April 24th!) on the (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))) blog. 12”s release via Zegema Beach, The Ghost Is Clear, and Mishap Records /250 at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. This Noise Is Ours did their final review of a мятеж release, the Carl Johnson split. I found Dollores randomly in a Ukranian screamo compilation video and dove deep, then purchased the last cassette off of my friend’s label. I think reached out to them and the band asking if we could also make some copies. They said yes. Then they sold. Now I have one left. Probably won’t make them again as the band was only active until 2012. Now or never!!!

Good lord of science almighty these 11 groovy, screamy, golden nuggets have a wonderful swing to them and some of the best vocals we’ve ever heard. If you combine I Hate Sex with Suis La Lune it’d sound something like this - fucking incredible. New art by Kyle Calvert design with two differnt inner j-card variants and a bunch of gorgeous tapes.

2023 - 03 - 29 /// Zaffle raffle tickets

What is the Zaffle? The Zaffle is a raffle contest where you can buy tickets to win 12” mages, 7” mages, stupid fancy vinyl, 12” handmades, and then 12” and 7” test presses (raffled off in that order). Once you win something, the rest of your ballots will be removed. The tickets are open to purchase now (linked under this text) and close on Sunday at 6pm PST when the draw is held live on instagram. Winners will be contacted by email and only pay shipping UNLESS you are coming to ZBR Fest in which case you will not be charged shipping and can just pick it up there.

What is The Vault? This will be a product page of out-of-print stuff and rare stuff that includes all of the cassettes, maybe some cds, as well as 12”, 10”, 7”, and 5” vinyl. These things will just be posted as regular products in a new tab (at the top of this page next to “Zegema Beach Releases”) that will appear on Saturday April 1st at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST and will close on Sunday at 12am PST, with the tab becoming inactive.

CanaDave did the final Out Past the Rings for one of his own projects, the last мятеж release ‘Riot/Mutiny’. A single dipped tape will be going up in The Vault this Saturday if you want a shot at something that’s been sold out for almost 4 years.

***CanaDave forgot to mention a few things, primarily about the opening track “June and July, Life Over Die” was originally recorded as part of the 4-song demo that was dispersed over some comps. I always knew my vocals could be better than the original and Jesse helped elevate the song to what we did live with dual vocals, as it was probably our favorite live jam. The song is about overcoming alcoholism. “Redacted” also has Jesse doing vocals who nailed the super gutteral stuff at the beginning of the song. The death of this band led to me officially joining Jesse as a vocalist for Apostles Of Eris.

CanaDave spent too many hours scouring for screamo music videos and has now curated this killer playlist of nearly 200 official screamo/skramz music videos! Neil Perry, Respire, Frail Body, Crowning, Via Fondo, Young Mountain, State Faults, Envy, La Quiete, etc.!!! Honestly it’s a ridiculous collection. Also of note is the Zampler contest that has just started but details will be given here tomorrow when the news post goes up. Basically if you buy something from this Canada/International store in December you are entered to win a free ZBR Fest 2023 golden ticket pass. The 91st episode of Mathcast was a very ZBR-heavy one as Lower Automation and Thank You Driver were discussed in detail. One thing those beautiful fellas forgot to mention is that the Blame Kadinsky music video fucking rules (linked here).

We’ve been very busy behind the scenes getting our latest Distro Update ready…and it’s probably the largest one ever. This behemoth includes so much shit I didn’t even bother trying to get them all out for a picture. Here is maybe 7% of what we’ll have going up.

I took some Massa Nera promo pics for their cassettes yesterday and promptly passed out for four hours. So I thought I’d kinda like…post them. The cds are done. The tapes are done. Just waiting for the vinyl and inserts to come in for the December 2nd release!!! Don’t forget you can watch the music video for “April 7th” now!

Brooklyn Vegan just premiered a new song/music video from Holly Caught A Contact High’s third EP release that we’ve got coming on Tomb Tree! Full Breaking Bad fix releases digitally October 28th and on cassette November 4th! Click on this text or the album art for the premiere!
