It is time. One of the best screamo records of the last decade is finally upon us! HAWAK’s debut full length was delayed for over a year, but through the fire and the flames it carried on, and is finally available thanks to a proper vinyl pressing from Pirates Press. Technically the second time it's been pressed, first time made available to the screamo masses. Released on 300 gold records via Zegema Beach Records, Left Hand Label, and the band. 10 songs of jangly, noodley screamo goodness from the Bay Area, teeming with struggle, defiance, strength and solidarity. Mixing the band’s previous outfit Matsuri with a bit more Kidcrash and a bit more Loma Prieta, HAWAK’s debut 12”LP is astonishing in both its vision and execution. And the folks that play in the band are just plain dandy. ❤

HUNDREDS OF AU ‘A Briefing on the Human Condition‘ 12"EP (ZBR295)
For fans of: Trainwreck, This Ship Will Sink, and Folly
The very prolific HUNDREDS OF AU released this stellar 5-song EP in late 2021 to much acclaim and now it’s arrived on 45rpm eco-mix 12”s out of 200! Co-released with Protagonist Music, the 12” vinyl contains a blazing-yet-controlled metallic hardcore/screamo fusion from members of You And I, Hell Mary, and The Assistant. Although the balance is obvious on all tracks, songs like “Objective Party” and “Afloat” really showcase an incredible ability to sustain melody and progression whilst retaining power and weight. Easily one of the best EPs of 2021.

To Forget had a set that left most people with their jaws open. This band brought their debut LP and just floored everyone with their live rendition including the guitarist/vocalist bending over backward on the monitor. I’d say pick up a 12” but they’re all gone. Here’s some awesomeness from the ZBR Fest Mid-West 2022 Day 1 on June 11th, 2022.
