2025 - 10 - 28 /// Coup D’état out + Nuvo cds tomorrow + Inosuke premiere!

October 28, 2025 by David Norman

Coup D’état released their sophomore album (a four-song EP, to be exact) yesterday via 100 cds in four-panel digipaks. The bandcamp orders and Canada/International store orders have already gone out, with the US store copies going out early November (cuz I have to ship them to the US store today). This shows the band getting simultaneously poppier and heavier (depending on the song), with a more varied musical palette and increased cohesiveness. So good!

Right before Nuvolascura goes on tour in Asia, we made another 100 cds of each of their full lengths! That’s right! 100 ‘Nuvolascura’ cds in a four-panel digipak, 100 ‘As We Suffer From Memory and Imagination’ in a four-panel digipak, and 100 ‘How This All Ends’ in a jewel case (1st run was in a dvd case, so these are different). These all go on sale tomorrow at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST.

Full premiere post linked here!

The first single from the next Inosuke album was premiered by Not Just A Phase yesterday. ‘Allomancer’ releases November 3rd on 12”LP and features Jason from Locktender and Erik from Stormlight! We still got some sweet vinyl of their debut album ‘rage/ruin’ embedded below. Click on the pic above or this text to go to the premiere for “a thousand years of ash and mist”.

Coup D’état’s release show for their self-titled cd happened this past Friday in Victoria with support from A Recorded Dawn and Mourn Recif. You can watch the 3-minute recap above, listen to the supporters split below, and/or click on this text to go to the full OMSB post with five total videos, including four currently unreleased songs!

Click here for the full premiere including links

Elle from Athousandangelsandseven fronts Fainting Dreams who had their final song premiere go up on the (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))) blog, and it’s a gorgeous few minutes with additional help from Midwife and Allison Lorenzen. The tapes release October 31st on Softseed Music with an early full stream going down on October 30th via Idioteq.com! Go to the premiere by clicking on the pic above or this text.

Operation X-Ray followed up their CanaDave episode with another great smattering of tracks, including our very own Shesmadefromsuede and Adobe Homes. We’re already low on the former so pick one up before they’re gone forever.

Respire played one of the best sets I’ve ever seen them play at the most recent ZBR Fest. Here’s the official fest video above with the final copy of the third press of ‘Gravity and Grace’ embedded below.

RESPIRE - Gravity and Grace (12”LP)

ZBR062
For fans of: Old Soul, Alaskan, Godspeed You! Black Emperoror, Neil On Impression and Fall Of Efrafa

Respire is a six-piece band from Toronto, Canada, who combine epic post-hardcore, screamo, and black metal into a very cohesive formula that drips of maturity and patience. Gravity and Grace is their debut LP - a sprawling memoir of genre-defying soundscapes, reverb-washed tremolo harmonies, cascading arpeggios, dreamlike textures and walls of distorted guitars roaring over frantic rhythms, punctuated by tormented vocals and a near-orchestral array of instruments and contributors. Themes of loss, addiction, heartbreak, and existential anguish paint a bleak picture, but somewhere over the horizon rests a glimmering sense of hope, resolve and forgiveness.

This is a co-release between Zegema Beach Records (Canada), Ozona Records (USA), Dingleberry Records (Germany) and Narshardaa Records (Germany).

1st press:
12" vinyl on black (/100) and white (/200)

2nd press:
12” vinyl on clear (/200)

3rd press:
12” vinyl on half white/half black with a poster insert. 9 songs.

Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to Bloom Dream’s ‘It Didn’t Have To Be This Way’ which we have had serious trouble keeping in stock (did two tapes run and a cd run), leaving only a test dip left. This is extra surprising as those usually go first. Snag or forever hold your peace! It’s on our bandcamp page embedded below.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: MIRA CORPORA = The first song from this band who’s been brewing for nearly 5 years just dropped their first single and it is fucking fire. Ex-Crowning, ex-Excrucis, with members of Valatie.

2025 - 10 - 22 /// Shesmadefromsuede + Coup D'etat release show

October 22, 2025 by David Norman

Mississippi’s Shesmadefromsuede released their first and last album on Tomb Tree and it’s a fucking banger. 5 tracks of screamo/metallic hardcore bliss for fans of Mondrary, Blind Girls, and Grimlitter. Tapes /78 but we sold about half the first day!

Friday is the cd release show for the new Coup D’etat EP where we’ll have copies in hand as well as the ZBR distro. This is also the A Record Dawn/Mourn Recif cd release! So much yummy.

Adobe Homes releases their new 12”LP ‘Años’ November 10th via Zegema Beach and Dog Knights. We did 300 copies with an extra surprise in the packaging, stay tuned for more info, but you can jam a song from the album below!

Click here for the full review!

This Noise Is Ours reviewed the new Nuvolascura album ‘How This All Ends’, which we’ve got like 7 copies left of the OG cd press, as the new/upcoming press are in regular jewel cases so this is the last of the DVD-style case. Jam/buy below or go to the review by clicking on this text or the pic above.

A heads up to all that ordered the Usurp Synapse 2 x 12” and/or cd, here’s the current update:
- 90% of the US store orders have gone out for the 2 x 12”
- bandcamp and Canada/International orders for the 2 x 12” won’t be going out until I get the box from the US, which should be here by the end of Oct, with all copies being out during the first week of November
- no US cd orders have gone out as the cds arrive in the US tomorrow
- all non-US cd orders have gone out!

Thanks for your patience on this, there are literally hundreds of orders and lots of moving parts (including family illness), but we should meet the deadline as we said during the pre-order that they’d ship early/mid-November. Please pick up a copy if you haven’t already! If we do a 2nd run they won’t be with the crazy laser-cut jackets so pick up this version while you can, or pay the dreaded reseller price!

CanaDave co-hosted the always awesome Operation X-Ray radio show! There are three premieres (two of them screamo) and a lotta ridiculous jams in this episode. Thanks so much to Andre for having me!

Oh shiiiiit there are some ZBR Fest video stragglers, so here’s Salvinorin-A and Punxsatuawney at our 2025 fest! There are a handful more videos to post…so until next time!

Holy shit how is there a Boneflower cassette left?!?! That’s right, today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to ‘A(r)mour)’, arguably their strongest album to date (but that new one is pretty sick too). Please take this off my hands (it’s in the bandcamp store embedded below).

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: MOURIR DEMAIN = A new project from Montreal that has some all-stars in it! Wicked emo-violence debut and it’s PWYC on Bandcamp.

2025 - 09 - 05 /// Twins pre-order, Emma Goldman music video, Serrate LP out Monday!

September 05, 2025 by David Norman

When we were sent the Serrate debut full length our jaws fell clean off. Their abrasive yet melodic take on screamo/metallic hardcore is superb, and is our next release on Monday September 8th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. There will be both neon green and neon red vinyl available and we’ve already got dem copies! Check out the music video above and an interview with member Matt Evans below (you can also click on this text to go to the proper Getting It Out podcast page! Kinda like Converge meets Orchid!

Twins pre-orders for ‘it_s complicated’ released yesterday alongside a music video for “Goodbye”. We’ve already moved about half of our copies or so of the wild, eccentric, unique, and just plain awesome German release. It’s on 200 “Confused splatter” and 100 “Canary yellow” 12”s. Click on the pic above or this text to go to the pre-order. Watch that video below!

Bok Suna’s ‘Carnate’ arrived last Thursday and holy moly is it amazing. Incredible album, incredible vinyl. Jam/buy below!

Emma Goldman just released their brand new music video for “I seem to be an adjective” from the ‘all you are is we’ full length. In addition to this wicked video we’ve also got tapes of the album, and as the vinyl is sold out I would give picking one up a hard recommend. Click on the pic above or this text to go there! Pick up a copy/jam it below.

US Dave uploaded the extended I Promised The World (formerly Sinema) videos from ZBR Fest 2025, and that set was just otherworldly, absolutely incredible performance. We’ve also thrown up the Votive video as well which features ex-members of Foxmoulder, Gas Up Yr Hearse!, Portrayal Of Guilt, etc. Individual band videos from ZBR Fest will continue popping up, some of which have additional videos that weren’t included in the full fest documentary. You can access more via our Youtube channel.

Chin Music played Avery Friedman, and great timing cuz those lovely 12”s arrived early last week and have are shipping now! The Stupid Fancy in particular is stunning…just like the debut album! Listen to the show above or by clicking on this text and take a gander at the album below.

Click here for the full show!

Equalizing Distort played the Coup D’etat song from the Not Just A Phase Vol.3 compilation. As of right now that comp series is complete, so if you’re interested in the comp of unreleased jams you should pick one up immediately below! Also, some wicked news about Coup is coming September 11th! Click on this text or the pic above for the show, jam/buy below!

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: YARBO = This Canadian band and their 2024 full length was passed to me a few weeks ago and I’m fucking hooked. It’s like Harris Hawk, Edhochuli, and The Armed in a fucking blender omg so good!

2025 - 09 - 01 /// Usurp Synapse pre-orders are live + Bok Suna released!

September 01, 2025 by David Norman

It is time. The pre-orders are up. Available in the U.S. store (linked here), the Canada/International store (linked here), and Bandcamp (linked here). Usurp Synapse’s ‘Disinformation Fix’ 2x12” releases in October on 500 units of hand-poured colored vinyl with lazser-cut gatefold covers. Please remember these WILL NOT SHIP UNTIL LATE OCTOBER/NOVEMBER. That includes orders with additional items in the order, the entire order will be held until November. Just a heads up, the unreleased This Endless Breath CD songs will not appear on the release as it enabled us to keep it to two 12”s instead of three. 50 songs. Truly insane packaging. Historic. Classic. Screamo.

It is also time! The sophomore BOK SUNA 12"LP 'Carnate' is officially out and shipping! 13 gorgeous, honest, and dark songs from this Tacoma/Seattle project that has recruited the drummer from Hillsboro to really flesh out this new set of songs. 125 x 12" vinyl over two variants and 20 cassettes were made and are in hand. For fans of: Lomelda, Mieke, (early) Clairo, Mage Tears, and Frankie Cosmos. <3

CanaDave got back in the saddle and recorded a new Out Past the Rings that doubles as a Tomb Tree Family Tree episode. Discussed are the debut A Paramount A Love Supreme EP and our first Cara Neir venture, the ‘Part III / Part IV’ album. Watch it below, buy those releases on…well, I guess ebay is your only bet cuz dem mad sold out.

In more awesome news, the Adobe Homes 12” tests were approved, so that is 100% coming out in 2025 just unsure of the exact date. You can scope a new song in this ZBR Fest 2025 video embedded above. Speaking of sick ZBR Fest videos, the Shoganai one was also uploaded recently, and we still have a few cassette stragglers for their first, self-titled EP. You can access them by clicking on this text. Individual band videos from ZBR Fest will continue popping up, some of which have additional videos that weren’t included in the full fest documentary. You can access more via our Youtube channel.

This Noise Is Ours continue their extensive ZBR coverage with the Poetry Of Torch x Gil Cerrone split cd (which we are running low on, by the way). A scorching Japanese/Australian collaboration. Listen/buy below and read the review by clicking on the pic above or this text.

Operation X-Ray played some serious heat (as per usual) and threw out some Usurp Synapse, Emma Goldman, and Bok Suna jams. We just released some tapes for Emma’s ‘all you are is we’ because the 12”s are gone (or maybe there’s still 1-2 copies left in the U.S.), so I’ve linked our bandcamp with all the store links below.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: HORSEBOY = Hellllll yes. Our Tomb Tree released their debut EP and now the band is back with their debut full length and it’s a sassy, screamy, rockin’ trip. Listen to the new album below. Jam/buy the first EP above.

The Återstod / Meißel split cassette releases on Monday on a mere 75 tapes, only 40 of which because CanaDave doesn’t understand math. This is gonna sell out pretty quickly I reckon. Amazing stuff from Sweden (Återstod is Henning from Suis La Lune) and Germany. Jam a song from each band below on the new Zampler. Variants pictured above.

Click here for the premiere post!

Braininavat is the next Tomb Tree release on February 7th, but you can jam the wicked first single premiere from their debut/self-titled EP! Simultaneously chaotic and groovy, the band features members of CityCop, Lowmeninyellowcoats, Griphook, etc. and is for fans of Bravo Fucking Bravo, Daniel Striped Tiger, and Llewelyn. Click on this text or the pic above for the full premiere post.

Operation X-Ray busted out their best Noise Rock & Post Punk episode and that sonuvagun featured our very own Lower Automation and their latest EP ‘Welcome to My Deathbed’ which we still have some cassette copies of!

Click here for the full review!

This Noise Is Ours featured the new Keratin 7” ‘Death & Rebirth’ in their ZBR Roster Review series. These 50 copies are going pretty quickly (this store sold 80% of their copies in 48 hours) so if epic, noodly screamo is your game you better jump on that shit. Click on the pic above or this text for the review. Jam/buy below.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: THEOPHONOS = This new EP is a reworking of old material and it’s fucking amazing.
