Today is finally the day we do the mini-rebalance sale. Basically, we still have some of our Big Stuff Thing stuffs and thingages meant to be sold at the fest for a myriad of reasons (some stuff didn’t sell, some stuff we forgot to replenish, some stuff we just straight up forgot to bring, etc.) so have at it in both stores, with the majority of the 12”s being in the U.S. shop but we definitely still have some sick stuff here (Loftus test press, Not Just A Phase comp, etc.)

After hearing this Albuquerque solo-screamo outfit’s 2022 self titled EP we jumped at the opportunity to make a physical release out of it. It’s freaking awesome. Lo-fi atmospheric screamo with post-hardcore leanings. Think Vi Som Alskade Varandra Sa Mycket epicness and songwriting approach with the sound and sensibilities of fellow solo project Life. Definitely a head-turner, just hit 3:30 in “Fifteen Minutes“, 2:45 in “Everlapsing“, or 45 seconds into “And Surrouding” and you’ll be straining your neck for more.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: RHA. = This German band released my most overlooked 12”LP of 2019, an amazing work of post-rock, screamo, and metallic hardcore. Think Trainwreck meets City Of Caterpillar and Angel Eyes. Truly incredible.

2021 - 12 - 07 /// Swirl Set #2

Swirl Set #2 goes live on Wednesday December 8th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST in both stores!!! Included in the second of three swirl sets are: Drei Affen swirl dip /10, The Ultimate Screamo Band hand-painted /10, Yusuke/Lori swirl dip /8, Binary swirl dip /7, and Snag hand-painted + glow in the dark /1.

Today we released the first and only single from the New Grass ‘Scordatura_Perforations’ 12”LP which sees the light of day both digitally and physically on December 13th at our regular time. Check it out on our bandcamp linked here. It’s a truly fantastic record. White /100 and orange /99. Co-released with The Ghost Is Clear Records.

2021 - 11 - 30 /// Two swirl 10/12" listings up!

First things first, CanaDave has posted a Drei Affen 12” and Ultimate Screamo Band 10” on ebay for anyone to bid on, if interested. The 12” is an /6 swirl dip variant that has another 5 copies going up for sale on December 8th, 2021 in both ZBR stores. The 10” is an /1 unique hand-painted variant, but I did make another 9 or so that will also be posted on December 8th. These will be more money than the swirl dips as they are much more time consuming. There are other releases slated for the December 8th Swirl Series #2 but you’ll have to wait to find out what they are.

On December 2nd we will be posting the Tomb Tree Tape Tester boxes /5 in both ZBR stores. These are like the ZBR ones but in much nicer boxes. This will likely be the only Tomb Tree set that will be made because of the cost of the boxes and ridiculous amount of time spent painting them.

I’m currently dipping the Campbell Trio cassettes for their otherworldly ‘///’ full length released on 12” earlier this year via Yeah You Records. Those should be available for purchase mid-late December as a reminder that this is easily one of the best albums of 2021.
