2023 - 10 - 04 /// The One Who Became Many tracklist

October 04, 2023 by David Norman

Here is the official tracklisting for the Coma Regalia tribute compilation ‘The One Who Became Many’! Chockfull of stellar screamo projects from around the world paying homage to the most prolific screamo band ever, 19 tracks/bands in total. Releases on October 9th via 100 cassettes, with all profits going to Edie/Coma Regalia/Middle Man Records. You can jam the Piri Reis song below, and expect another song premiere this Friday via Borderline Fuckup!!!

We announced the new Closet Witch 12” ‘Chairoscuro‘ a few days back. ZBR has 500 copies over some very nice variants. We’ll have pre-orders go up on October 16th but a music video and promo pics will be revealed prior. Check out a live video of a new jam from ZBR Fest 2023 below!

The Onewaymirror full length was recently announced and you should be absolutely bursting with excitement. These 14-16 year-olds have been wreaking havoc in just over a year by melding the styles of Spirit Of Versailles, In Loving Memory, and Neil Perry into an amazing, youthful concoction that will blow you away! Tomb Tree will be handling the vinyl for this alongside BSJD and Oliver Glenn Records with tapes from Jean Scene Creamers. Jam their split with Burial Etiquette below!

CanaDave got sleemed by the one and only Riversleem a few days back on the OMSB Podcast. Find out everything you need to know about this killer four-piece and their first two EPs. Click this text or the pic above to go to the podcast, or jam/buy the new 7”EP below!

The In Loving Memory shows have popped up so here’s the first at the Botanical Gardens. Second show is embedded below. The EP on grey/40 is linked here.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: SLOW PULP = This will show up in CanaDave’s top releases of 2023. Incredible shoegaze/indie rock.

2023 - 10 - 01 /// Vibora out, Coma comp next

October 01, 2023 by David Norman

The Coma Regalia covers compilation released the cover art (by Sammy Gurule) and the first isolated single by Piri Reis covering “Listless” (Atameo’s cover was on the June 31st Zampler) to a very positive response. Full album comes out October 9th, 2023 on 100 tapes. Click on the text here or pic above for the premiere or just jam the song below.

Vibora’s ‘Zaldi Beltza’ 12”LP is now out! I think there’s still a few pink blob copies left, and after that it’s red. This release turned a lot of heads, and remember we only took 50 copies for all of North America!

Don’t forget that Saton’s new album comes out October 6th, that’s a freaking awesome album, with Tomb Tree taking care of the cassettes. We will likely trade for some vinyl as well. Here are the two music videos thus far:

The In Loving Memory shows have popped up so here’s the first at the Botanical Gardens. First show in over two decades!!! Tapes for the new album are very, very low, but in some good news we’ll be getting some vinyl of the new EP soon, as well as the additional Illuminate My Heart copies of the LP, so in a few weeks we’ll get all that stuff up again. Until then just the EP on grey/40 is linked here.

This Noise Is Ours did another Zegema Beach Roster Review Series, this time for the first LP by Infant Island which we did cassettes for. Long, long sold out. Such a stellar album, especially those last two jams…good god. Click on the pic above or this text for the review, or jam it below.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: FLOODING = My man Bobby from The Ghost Is Clear helped put this incredible three-piece shoegaze/screamo/post-hardcore band on my radar. The previous record showed signs of genius, and the new album ‘Silhouette Machine’ taps into everything I was hoping they would. Contender for AOTY!

2023 - 09 - 28 /// 50% off in this store for 24 hours!!!

September 28, 2023 by David Norman

For the next 24 hours this Canada/International store (yes it also ships to the U.S.) is having a 50% off everything sale!!! The half-off is applied with the Promo code of “FIDDYOFF” during checkout and will end at 8:59am PST on September 29th aka when the new Vibora 12” is released. Jam a jam below!

Vibora’s ‘Zaldi Beltza’ 12”LP releases in full tomorrow and we can’t say enough good things about it. If that previous track didn’t turn your head with it’s chugs, panic chords, and screams, then try “Dana” below, a much more expansive track that brings to mind bands like Boneflower, Descubriendo A Mr. Mime, and Altair.

Operation X-Ray played a ton of bangers including our own Riversleem and Niboowin!!! Woot effin’ woot.

Victoria BC’s Hillsboro and their debut 12”LP caught CanaDave so much that he had two of the members on the OMSB Podcast. Twas a really fun time! Def check out that album!!! Click this text or picture above to go to the post/podcast and jam the album below.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: OPHELIAC = Ophelia from Burial Etiquette released this incredible album and has another in the works!!!

September 26, 2023 by David Norman

The Sleem is out. The Sleem rules. Get the Sleem. Only 100 ruby red 7”s were made.

My Hair Is A Rat’s Nest’s new full length is so effin’ good, omg. So the Canada/International store moved almost all of their copies (save one) so if you are looking the remaining copies can be found in the US store (linked here) and Bandcamp (embedded below).

Neuman Portentum came on the (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))) podcast to chat about their past in the late 90s, all the way up to this year’s ‘God Monster’ release! Click on the pic above or this text for the post, or jam the album below.

Hillsboro showed up on Staff Picks over at Exclaim. I reduced the price on the 12”s if you’re interested, embeded below. Click on the pic above or this text for the Exclaim article.

Social Caterpillar’s final single “The River” came out last week and is fantastic. Be sure to check it out as it premiered on Everything Is Noise with a great write-up. Click on this text for the link or jam the song below.

The rare screamo cds are back in there for the first time in months and almost all on sale for like $10CAD (that’s like $7US!), as are some discounted vinyl, advance/rare tapes, climaxing with handmades including nebulas and chromas! Here are a few gems that have yet to be claimed:

Brooklyn Vegan picked up on the perfection that is Niboowin’s first single and spit it back out via the 9 new songs released that day. Click on the pic above or this text to go there. Jam it directly below.

This Noise Is Ours’ Roster Review series included Binary which we’ve been sold out of for a few years, save a few painted variants, if memory serves correct. Click on this text to watch the Out Past the Rings for it too. Click on the pic above to go to the TNIO review.
