Birthed from the very sexual People’s Temple Project/Mrtex tour of 2014, this split has been years in the making and we are very proud to be revealing it to world. APOSTLES OF ERIS’ side is the band’s most cohesive material to date, reworked and refined, following a linear theme. Jesse (instruments/vox) has played in a vast array of screamo bands including but not limited to Altar Of Complaints, Majorel, In Wolves Clothing while Dave (vox/lyrics) has spent time in Mrtex, Swallows Nest and The World That Summer. Their seven tracks fall somewhere between Capsule and Cease Upon The Capitol. PIQUE has also been working on these songs for years, as can be seen by the plethora of demos leading up to this. Their seven jams are both their darkest and most technical/playful, with Iwrotehaikusaboutcannibalisminyouryearbook being the most obvious comparison.

2022 - 03 - 29 /// 4-Way split tape and Le Blast stock!

First off in the news is the announcement of this killer split coming out on Tomb Tree featuring two new jams each from Demersal, Piet Onthel, Letterbombs, and Vientre on cassette!!! These tapes have been at the plant for a few weeks and we’ll push out another PremieRing for this via four blogs in mid-late April! Witch Elm Records will be doing a European version of the release as well. We recently released the Demersal 7”, Piet Onthel cassette full length, have Letterbombs stuff in the works as well as helped the two latter bands out via Tomb Tree. Piet Onthel has another 5-song EP releasing in early May on ZBR!!!

Tonight at 6pm PST / 8pm CST / 9pm EST we’ll post our Le Blast tapes in both stores. What’s in there? Besides a ton of obscure/rare screamo tapes beautifully packaged, but we’ll be posting the majority of the Yearning tapes! Numbered out of /30, these will fucking fly and sound incredible. And you know…they’re housed in a j-card and twine…pretty fucking screamo. Fuck.

Our Hundreds Of Au ‘A Briefing on the Human Condition’ 12”EPs have been flying and the entire run of 200 is well over half sold out, and we’re down to our last 25% of stock. If you’re in the EU Dog Knights recently got some copies so feel free to pick some up from them.

Co-released with Protagonist Music, the 12” vinyl contains a blazing-yet-controlled metallic hardcore/screamo fusion from members of You And I, Hell Mary, and The Assistant. Although the balance is obvious on all tracks, songs like “Objective Party” and “Afloat” really showcase an incredible ability to sustain melody and progression whilst retaining power and weight. Easily one of the best EPs of 2021.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: RHA. = This German band released my most overlooked 12”LP of 2019, an amazing work of post-rock, screamo, and metallic hardcore. Think Trainwreck meets City Of Caterpillar and Angel Eyes. Truly incredible.

2022 - 03 - 24 /// Crossed and Blind Girls tomorrow!

Tomorrow? Tomorrow…tomorrow…something is definitely happening tomorrow. Hmmmm…oh! I remember! We’re dropping two ridiculous albums on the same day!!! But why, you ask? Because the lord of skramz told us to. Very early in the morning on March 25th, 2022 will see the Crossed ‘Morir’ 12”LP pre-order (ships mid-April) and then at 12pm PST / 2pm CST / 3pm EST ‘The Weight of Everything’ 12”LP by Blind Girls goes up. A most excellent and also very silly day at Zegema Beach.

Speaking of Blind Girls, there was a final track premiere yesterday on the Not Just A Phase podcast that ZBR has also stained with our presence. An awesome hour and a quarter if you have the time. I can’t embed it for some reason but just click this text to go listen.

Okay. So. We have a lot of stuff coming out. A LOT. Like, we already have 5 releases in hand that we’re waiting on to release because we’d prefer to keep it to just two a month. We have about two to three releases arriving every month for the next three to four months. Most of these things are lower runs, with two exceptions including 500 12” records and a run of 250 tapes. You will also see the dwindling of co-releases in the near future as we attempt to avoid scheduling conflicts that are out of our control. This will also enable us to pretty much drop pre-orders altogether because in the end no one really wins with those. The Daves are very stoked on 2022!!!
