2024 - 07 - 30 /// Olth + Tenue + break

July 30, 2024 by David Norman

Aight my friends, this is the last post you’ll see here for two weeks as both Daves are making the trek to Ontario. We’ll still have some social media posts here and there but no new releases after August 1st until mid-August and obviously we won’t be around to ship stuff out either. Olth 12” repress on Monday (pictured above). Tenue’s new album+tapes drop on Monday too (music video below). After that there’s a Closet Witch music video coming out over at No Clean Singing on August 6th. Then we’ll get some Nuvolascura cds up, followed by more fest VHS tapes. New Forms repress arrives late September. Senza’s new 12”EP is at the plant for a fall release. Legacy releases slated for tape, 12”, and double 12” before the year is out.

Reminder that Tenue’s new 5-song album ‘Arcos, bóvedas, pórticos’ releases in full August 1st, 2024. This thing is utterly massive and easily the band’s best work to date. They incorporate more screamo and Respire-esque sounds and it works out so damn well. CanaDave is currently dubbing the Tenue tapes, only 30 will be made for the first run, if they sell out we’ll do another 20 but that’s it!

Oh shiiiiiit after about five years of being out of stock we got a stack of restocks from the one and only MeatCube Label! Tetola93’s final album, the most intense, raw, emotional rollercoaster they ever set down.

TETOLA93 - Tetola93 (12
Sold out
TETOLA93 - Tetola93 (12")
from CA$15.00

For fans of: Yaphet Kotto, Killie and Ampere.

The final album from one of Japan's most intense and innovative bands is finally upon us! 14 tracks of despair, hope, passion and fury for fans of Killie, Louise Cyphre, and Envy. Breaking up in the middle of 2013, TETOLA93 tracked one final album that will stand as their legacy - and they recorded entirely by themselves. The album combines re-recordings of old favorites with new epic songs and a fully realized production that brings everything together. This is truly one of the most ground-breaking records to come out of Japan and a serious contender for album of the year. The LP comes on black vinyl with lyric insert & download card sealed in a printed envelope, all in a full-color jacket printed on recycled chipboard. The limited Japanese edition comes with a hand-printed CD-R containing all the tracks and is available during pre-orders ONLY. This album is a co-production between Seattle's MeatCubeLabel and Canada's Zegema Beach Records.

For fans of: Killie, Circle Takes The Squre, Combat Wounded Veteran, Yaphet Kotto, Me And Him Make It Us and I Am Alaska.

Black 12" vinyl. 14 songs.

CanaDave went to the Smush release show for ‘if you were here i’d be home now’ that Softseed Music is releasing on 12”. There’s a buncha videos there including additional stuff from the incredible hardcore/screamo band Piss from Vancouver as well as the intoxicating sounds of Lilex And The Apocalips. Click on this text for the full post, more videos and links. Check my fave videos below.

Hillsboro’s new ‘White Trash’ EP releases on tape August 23rd on Softseed Music. The new stuff is amazing and keeps the melodic hooks but injects some heavier moments and includes some yells and screams. Dig that shit hard. New song/musich video “sleep dealrrr” embedded below.

Equalizing Distort played Hey Predator on their radio show, some tapes still exist! This stuff is amazing and is pre-Girl Arm math rock/emo. Click on the text here to go to the show. Jam/buy Hey Predator tapes below!

Operation X-Ray played a ton of bangers as per usual and starts things off with our very own Excrucis. Jam the radio show below and listen/buy Excrucis here by clicking on the text.
