2023 - 02 - 22 /// Crowning + Eyelet split 7"

February 22, 2023 by David Norman

Surprise split 7” between two of screamo’s hottest bands CROWNING and EYELET! Vinyl is in hand and ready to ship from either yours truly or our buds at The Ghost Is Clear Records. There’s 150 of each variant (green and yellow) totaling 300 slabs of sickness.

Don’t forget that these two bands are skramzing-off with a battle set at this year’s ZBR Fest pre-show! The only way to get access to the pre-show is to buy a 2-day pass and those are dwindling!

Click on this poster to go to the ZBRFEST.com site where you can order tickets.

Also, if you need more Crowning in your life you can flush 30 minutes down the drain and watch their European tour documentary with Swallows Nest.

This Canada/International store just got key restocks for Hawak, Cinq, and Reverie! Only two more copies of each as we can’t keep them in stock! Cinq is very close to selling out btw.

HAWAK ‘nuoc‘ 12"LP (ZB185)

For fans of: Kidcrash, Brahm and Beau Navire

It is time. One of the best screamo records of the last decade is finally upon us! HAWAK’s debut full length was delayed for over a year, but through the fire and the flames it carried on, and is finally available thanks to a proper vinyl pressing from Pirates Press. Technically the second time it's been pressed, first time made available to the screamo masses. Released on 300 gold records via Zegema Beach Records, Left Hand Label, and the band. 10 songs of jangly, noodley screamo goodness from the Bay Area, teeming with struggle, defiance, strength and solidarity. Mixing the band’s previous outfit Matsuri with a bit more Kidcrash and a bit more Loma Prieta, HAWAK’s debut 12”LP is astonishing in both its vision and execution. And the folks that play in the band are just plain dandy. ❤

12” vinyl /300 on marigold (2nd/good run). Includes insert booklet and stickers. 10 songs.
12” vinyl /300 on gold (1st/questionable run) not for sale until the 2nd run sells out.

REVERIE ‘Everything repeats itself forever‘ 12LP" (ZBR288)

For fans of: Raein, Monte Ida, and Gillian Carter

Incredible, driving, romantic screamo from Italy. Dynamic shifts, passionate screams, epic-yet-concise...this really is an incredible album. 8 absolutely bangin’ screamo jam from the world’s primo screamo hot-spot in Italy, the record sways dangerously back and forth between blazing, violent, noisy, cathartic hardcore to serene, melodic, introspective melodic sections.

12” /300 on red transparent marble vinyl. Includes lyric insert. 8 songs.

Sear got a very in-depth review from Everything Is Noise last week and we’d be silly not to share it. Click on this text or the pic to go to the review.

Nhomme also had a fantastic review courtesy of Heavy Pop. Translate away if needed. And check that music video if you haven’t already! Click on this text for the review or the pic above!

Our final review comes from Demonic Nights for the new Lower Automation 12”LP that continues to simultaneously mystify and ruin brains. Click on this text or the pic above for the review and jam that shit below.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: STASIS = My pal Hayden from Thank You Driver showed me this during our podcast and it ruined me. Amazing new metalcore from British Columbia.
