2026 - 7 - 20 /// Beau Navire 10"s in stock x Constrain EP released!

First things first, 12 or so EU countries have a new tariff implemented but Canada Post hasn’t had time to prepare to charge for it (or something like that) so I cannot ship a few orders until the postal service catches up and fixes it. I might need to hit people up for a measly $3 or whatever the tariff ends up being, but you can just place another order if you want and I can refund your shipping (minus the tariff fee) if that’s easier. I’ll give you more news when I get it!

Second things…second I guess. I am going on vacation to see my family in Ontario from July 24th-August 3rd so obviously nothing will get shipped in the that timeframe, and hopefully the EU stuff is smoothed out by the time I get back.

Third things…fourth…right? I mean…The Names Of Our Friends x Poetry Of Torch split releases this Friday! It’ll go up at a stupid time (cuz I’ll be going to the airport at like 4am PST) so half the copies will go up on Bandcamp at that time and the rest will go up in this store at our regular 9am PST.

Beau Navire 10”s for their ‘Demo 2009’ release are back in stock! This is still the OG pressing from Clue #2 that was stashed away for over a decade - so once this pressing is gonezo you’ll have to pay stupid amounts on Discogs - but you can get them now for just $30USD including shipping! Snag below.

BEAU NAVIRE - 2009 Demo (10")
CA$25.00

For fans of: Loma Prieta, Iwrotehaikusaboutcanniblaisminyouryearbook, and Carrion Spring.

This early demo from the immortal Cali band mixes the softer/jazzy stuff from Iwrotehaikus with their later and heavier sound. I wicked snapshot in time. We bought these off Clue #2 Records a few months ago and they moved in a day, so we picked up another 50 copies and this is the only place to get’em!!! Hella rare/awesome find! Thanks Hieg <3

10” on black vinyl with lyric insert. 6 songs.

Constrain’s new EP ‘1999’ was released last week and I moved more than half of the cassettes already. The sassy metalcore is less sass and more metal than the previous EP but still intertwines them and hits like a fucking truck. The tapes arrive at my house next week and will start shipping in early August.

Hillsboro tapes for ‘A Party in Your Name’ are officially done and ready to ship! This album is a wicked collection of songs that fall somewhere in the indie/emo/shoegaze category and features my good bud Nima from Wollruss on vocals/guitar.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: SNAG = This band has been kickin’ it forever and has a split with Dave’s New Zealand band Swallows Nest (a copy of their split is here) and ZBR released their first and second (aka two previous) full lengths (we have one left in stock and it’s above!)

2026 - 6 - 23 /// Mal Criado released + t-shirts on sale!

Mal Criado’s ‘Ni Todo La Tierra Entera’ released this past Friday on Tomb Tree! The 13 jams exude anger, dissatisfaction, and inequality at the horseshit system in place, all wrapped in a nasty powerviolence tortilla. Mmmm, so good!

Orphan Donor’s recent album ‘Ailments’ continues to ruin brains around the globe. The always reliable Everything Is Noise gave an excellent review, so check that out and snag a cd while you’re at it. Click on the pic above or this text to go to read the article in full, but here’s a nice little quote below from the review:

On this record, Orphan Donor is a heaving, lumbering lump of organic sound matter, moving along like a giant deformed creature floating down a river of molten lava. And that perfect mental image owes a huge deal to James Revelle, the artist responsible for the band’s unique visual identity since 2020. Think Mike Diana on a bad acid trip; not the go-to art direction for a self prescribed skramz band, but nothing that Orphan Donor does is run of the mill.

For a few years I had the idea of doing the Eight Feet Under split series. It would contain bands from four countries, be two bands from each country, thus totaling eight bands over two 12”s, each supplying an EPs worth of material. The first one was fucking amazing, but the second installment had some bands drop and I just kinda axed it. Truly a bummer. I do have one last copy of the first and only edition of this series which contains Vi Som Alskade Varandra Sa Mycket, Via Fondo, Sleeper Wave, Youth Novel, The World That Summer, Nous Etions, Lamantide, and Pastel - thus making it today’s Last Fucking Copy! Snag it now below or forever hold your peace.

2026 - 6 - 12 /// Cadere trailer/shows + Liqui-Dave-tion sale ends on Sunday night!

First off, this is a final reminder that the US store 40% off sale aka the “Liqui-Dave-tion” sale that is automatically applied to all orders will be active until Sunday June 14th at 9pm EST / 11pm CST / 12pm EST. After this prices revert back to normal and once the US store moves to a new location, all prices will rise by a few bucks as US Dave did all this for free and ZBR USA’s new home requires us to do so - which makes the last few days of the sale even more financially helpful.

In addition, please be patient as US Dave is dealing with a ton of orders once he returns from an out-of-state trip, so some of these orders will take a while - but hey, ya got 40% off so you can give him a much-deserved breather.

Cadere (ex-Mourn Recif/Archivist/Juniper Smile, current members of Wollruss, A Recorded Dawn, Internal Dialogue, etc.) is joining the Constrain and Lakeside Amusement Park tour on the island! You can catch us with the ZBR distro at the Victoria show tonight and Duncan show tomorrow. Hope to see you there!!!

Vancouver/Victoria band Hillsboro released ‘A Party in Your Name’ two weeks back and were recently interviewed by Punknews.org

The tapes should finish by the early next week and be shipping in June. I also snagged some live videos from their Victoria release show that I’ll post next.

Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to yet another super old release, and likely the last in this series. Canada’s Worst Gift was all over Toronto from 2012 to 2015 before members moved to other countries. Includes ex-Ispoke and Tonnn. This 12” will not be repressed so snag this last copy (below) or forever hold your peace.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: LIVE LONGER BURN EVERYTHING = Yoooooo been stoked on this for quite some time. Scope!!!

2026 - 6 - 08 /// Zampler art submissions now open!!!

Just a quick reminder that the US store 40% off sale aka the “Liqui-Dave-tion” sale that is automatically applied to all orders will be active until Sunday June 14th at 9pm EST / 11pm CST / 12pm EST.

The big news from the past few days is that all upcoming Zamplers are open to art submissions! Starting right now you can go watch Starship Troopers (just the first one) and then check out the other Zampler covers and then cook up something sick that references the movie (and isn’t the same as a previous cover). Art submitted will be considered for the June 30th Zampler, with everything that isn’t chosen and comes after that date automatically will be considered for the next Zampler, and so on and so on as these things release every 6 months. You don’t need to include a Zampler # on the cover so just leave that open for when a # is chosen at a later date. You can email your submissions to zegemabeachrecords@gmail.com

And I feel the need to reiterate, all art MUST reference Starship Troopers or it doesn’t fit with the theme I’ve had going for more than 13 years. Jam #25 below with art from Jackson Schott!

I had Josh (A Recorded Dawn, Cadere, etc.) and Nima (Hillsboro, Wollruss) over to house for a Fest recap podcast as we reminisced about Vancouver’s 2026 ZBR Fest. Check it out above! I’ve included a few live videos below.

Cadere (formerly Mourn Recif) has two shows coming up with Ontario’s Constrain in Duncan this Friday and in Victora this Saturday. ZBR distro will be in hand. A teaser video of the band’s debut EP drops on Friday!

Following the Vancouver Island band’s new release ‘A Party in Your Name’ by my friends in Hillsboro, they also released a 13-minute video that acts as kind of a music video for a few jams. Very cool, artistic stuff! The tapes should finish this week and be in-hand next week. I also snagged some live videos from their Victoria release show that I’ll post next week.

Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to more super old releases, this one being Italy’s Lamantide. The EP ended up making me ask the band to participate in the 2x12” 8-way split. Very dark and heavy shit, like Converge on nightmare fuel. This 12” will not be repressed so snag this last copy (below) or forever hold your peace.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: CLAY BIRDS = Oh my god new Clay Birds. Hoorah!!!
