Coup D'etat 7" lathe released!

Coup D’état just released the ‘coup d’état the band the promo the ep’ on black 7” lathe out of 50, with 30 going to the band I’ve only got 20 for ZBR. Two re-recorded songs and a brand new one (only the first two went on the lathe) highlight the band’s peak to date and include “new” guitarist Elle and the last recording with OG bassist Raine. These are pretty expensive but it’s because we paid for the express option so the band could have them in hand for New Friends Fest in early August, so please don’t think we’re gouging, these have like a $3 profit per copy and that’s it - so it shall never be repressed! Snag it now!!!

I’ve got a Beau Navire restock for the Demo 10” going back up on Tuesday at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. The last time we threw these up we sold 50 in 24 hours, but now there is no US store - but for the love of science please remember that the $15CAD shipping price is actually just $10US. Constrain’s new EP ‘1999’ releases this Friday July 17th on Tomb Tree! I’ll have about 20 copies available for sale but they might not arrive until the week after, but I’ll likely get the dips done this week so people know what the variants look like. Check out their new music video for their final single below that was shot on their West Coast weekend run last month…you might even spot yourself a Dave!

Vocalist Sinco did the art for the new Zampler so any money donated on Bandcamp for it this month will go directly to him!

Usurp Synapse’s ‘Disinformation Fix’ releases on 2x12” and cd this Monday October 13th! This has been in the works for quite some time so it’s exciting to finally get these beauts out in the world. We are very, very humbled to have been asked to put out this seminal compilation on wax for the first time ever. Don’t forget the different colored hand-poured vinyl come in a 13-hole laser cut gatefold jacket. The vinyl is /500 and cd is /200. Dollie Rot released her first two EPs ‘Survivor’s Guilt’ and ‘Mercy of the Gutter’ on cassette via Softseed Music. This is the first time her material has ended up on physical media and I couldn’t be more stoked on it. Should have some more stuff in the works shortly! You can snag these from the ZBR stores for less than we’re charging on Bandcamp (cuz of the fees).

Congratulations played a reunion show last month and Public Seating took a multi-camera video of the entire set! This band was at the heart of the early ZBR scene in Ontario alongside Foxmoulder and Terry Green. We still have some straggler 12” copies, but the mage and nebula are long sold out.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: NICOLE DOLLANGANGER = Yesterday a 10-year anniversary edition of ‘Natural Born Losers’ was released for pre-order over 72 hours by Vertigo Vinyl. This album changed my life and has led to Softseed Music searching for this style of music almost exclusively, so this is the hardest of recommends.

Magana is releasing ‘Teeth’ on Softseed Music! This LA-based solo project is incredible, and I’m super stoked to be helping her out with this and literally any release she takes part it. Big Stuff Thing this Sunday! You read right, it’s been a hot minute since we’ve had one but we’ve accumulated a few extra things for our “safety nets” that are no longer needed. You will find items from Sinema, Febuary, Othiel, Blind Girls, Crowning, etc. plus more test presses than you can shake an Indian Summer-shaped stick at. Sunday at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. The items will be available for just 48 hours at the top of the US Store as a single product with a buncha variants (aka releases) and the Canada store will have a “Big Stuff Thing” listing in the dropdown box for Canada/International Store..
