2024 - 05 - 13 /// Widowdusk tape stragglers go up tomorrow!

May 13, 2024 by David Norman

Widowdusk tapes went up already and sold the fuck out, but we wanted to play it safe and kept back a few of each variant. So we’ll put those up for sale tomorrow May 14th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST for those who didn’t find out in time or just plain missed out. There were some comments about how we were sold out immediately but PLEASE remember that Bandcamp is not our primary store, we have about 75% of all stock in the US store, followed by 15% for the Canada/International store, and 10% for Bandcamp.

Click here for the full article/interview!

Niboowin’s ‘Giving In’ has been receiving high praise, and our bundles have almost bled us dry of their first output aka the ‘Breathing’ 12”LP. The recently band spoke with Moshpit Nation and gave the story of how they had to record some of the songs for ‘Giving In’ three fuckin’ times! Read it via pic above or this text. Jam/buy below.

Demersal had a great review from Rebel Noise! If you are itching for more Telos (that band broke up btw) then Demersal is the closest you’re gonna get, but holy smokes are they their own beast. Boasting lullaby post-rock to searing metallic hardcore, these 12 tracks have it all. Click on this text for the review. Buy/jam below.

Operation X-Ray covered our newest Niboowin and Demesal releases plus a ton more!

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: GIL CERRONE + LETTERBOMBS split = Woah this came outta nowhere and rocked my face! Thanks No Funeral <3

2024 - 03 - 29 /// Herlovebeheadsdaisies and Missouri Executive Order 44 added!

March 29, 2024 by David Norman

Fest update! Onelinedrawing and Burial Etiquette will be unable to make it this year (mad bummer), but fret not because we’ve added Herlovebheadsdaisies (Sunday) and Missouri Executive Order 44 (Saturday)!!! Click on that pic above to get some tickets!

Just a heads up, there will be no Demersal pre-orders for Tomb Tree/ZBR, just like Crossed, we’ll wait until the release and we have them in hand. Demersal is set for May 10th, 2024.

Click here for the full premiere!

The next Tomb Tree release is the stellar new screamo band .22LR who contains members of Low Before The Breeze, Less Dead, and Jornada Del Meurto (to name just a few) with a new song premiering over at Idioteq.com. Full release is April 2nd!!! Click on the pic above or this text to go there.

Lower Automation had that “Life Insurance” premiere at Ghost Cult Mag, with their new EP ‘Welcome To My Deathbed’ on May 20th, 2024. There’s more info in the post linked here by clicking on this text. Jam it below!

Click here to save the youtube link!

The first annual Screamo Awards goes live on the 30th of March! Interviews done by our very own CanaDave. Youtube link goes live when it says it does, but you can access the link below now so you can save it.

Basque had an excellent review from Cave Dweller Music, who really gets this Kitchener four-piece. The seven songs are truly something special and are not likenable (not a word, I know) to any other bands. Click on this text or the pic above to read it in full. Jam/buy our last copies below!

Widowdusk was played on the newest Operation X-Ray, for which there will likely be another new episode tonight so stay tuned!

Moshpit Nation’s Best of February includes Gxlllium!, Onewaymirror, and Volp among many others. Click on this text or the pic above to see a monstrous amount of killer releases.

2024 - 01 - 11 /// Our Future Is An Absolute Shadow drops Monday!

January 11, 2024 by David Norman

Friday Friday Friday is Wave #3 for ZBR Fest 2024! Final reveal (except the pre-show, still comin’ and hot as fuck!) as well as more two-day passes. We usually don’t sell many one-day passes so this year we’ve upped the two-day and decreased the one-day (there will only be 100 for each single day this year) so when your brain explodes upon seeing Wave #3 you can head directly over to www.zbrfest.com to snag your tickets (linked to this text).

Our Future Is An Absolute Shadow is on deck. Their 12” ‘LP’ has been a long time in the making. Fully written on drums first, then guitars/bass, and finally vocals/lyrics - this project has a very weird way of working but it fucking tracks. Speaking of tracks, here’s the tracklist with track times:

1. Mimitwo 01:54

2. Sometimes When I'm Falling Asleep I Think I'm Dying 00:53

3. Word of Ruin 01:04

4. The Shackles I Have Given Myself Are My Treasure 00:48

5. Adrian vs. Thai Chilli Pepper 01:17

6. Perpetual Vertigo 00:46

7. Strike Zone Pro Set Box Set 01:56

8. Figrin Damn 01:22

9. Kelowna 215 00:59

10. interlude 00:36

11. The French Say "Brobaire" 01:58

12. Kong Not King 01:55

13. Vanessequestrian 01:26

14. Martian Stealth Tech 01:23

15. Our Present is an Absolute Nightmare 05:06

100 copies of the 12” go up for sale along with the digitals on Monday January 15th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. Jam the new music video below or click on this text to go to the full premiere/info/links from This Noise Is Ours.

You’ll find New Forms, Olth, and a few Tomb Tree releases from My Hair Is A Rat’s Nest, Onewaymirror, and Excrucis on there. Thank you!!! Click on the pic above or this text to go to the list. We still have New Forms 12”s so snag one below!

Click here to go to the full list!

CanaDave’s Softseed Music label released the Social Caterpillar 12”LP for ‘Alphabet Crown’ in 2023 and it showed up on Everything Is Noise’s list, beating out every ZBR and Tomb Tree release! Yeah…it’s really fucking good! We got some in this store but feel free to support Softseed or the band directly. Click on the pic above or this text for the full list, and jam/buy below!

Closet Witch came out on Friday and you should definitely get one. Arguably album of the year. Fucking amazing shit. Plus the band is hiatus as of the release so extra support is always appreciated. Moshpit Nation did a piece about it which you can check out by clicking the picture above or this text. Thank you my friends!

CanaDave did a new Out Past the Rings for the first Snag 12”LP titled ‘Snag’. It’s long sold out (cuz it rules), so if you are hankering for something else Snag maybe check this out as there’s some decent info amidst a lotta bullshit lol.

Operation X-Ray is always on the ball, this time playing our homies Closet Witch and Llewelyn.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: RILE = Awesome mathy/metallic hardcore from Utah. Fans of Coarse, The Chariot, Rotting In Dirt, and Botch should dig this. I sure as hell do.
