Distro and restock update coming Thursday July 24th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST with both stores getting a whack of Icorrupt, Shove and Dingleberry releases, Icorrupt (yes including the new Ostraca 12” EP!) as well as ZBR restocks/overstock from Mahria, Crowning/Swallows Nest, Clay Birds, and more! Holy fuck!!!

Sininen’s final song premiere went up last week for the closer “mitt hus”. The band features members of Via Fondo and the seven-track EP ‘I was recently upset’ releases on 120 tapes July 28th via Tomb Tree. What’s next on ZBR? Well shit, I’m glad you asked. We’ve got tapes on Tuesday July 22nd for ‘Ritma’ by Piri Reis prior to their New Friends Fest performance, followed by Shoganai cassettes for their debut self-titled EP on July 29th. July 30th we’ll be premiering the ZBR Fest 2025 video on Youtube so make sure you attend the first showing if you’re as keen as I am!

Avery Friedman released a live studio session for the song “New Thing” and you should definitely check it out. We’ve been talking to the plant about the 12” run, and they are behind as they’re waiting on the lacquer. We’ll keep you posted but hopefully they’ll be in-hand early August. Fingers crossed!

2024 - 10 - 02 /// New Forms repress + Smush 12"s done!

The New Forms repress is complete and in hand! We did 200 on ghostly maroon with the band taking half of those, so ZBR only has about 100. The U.S. store still have 6 copies of the first press on black (/100) so scoop those up if you want the rarity factor. The band has some shows coming up that you can scope under the album embed below, check’em out!!!

Febuary cds released and promptly sold out. We got the okay to make more as well as some tapes, so we’ll have those out in November/December. Cuz ya know, AOTY contender. A friendly reminder to those who were pissed that we didn’t give more info about the drop…I’ve been posting about it here for a month. Follow this page. It’s helpful.

Smush has shipped to the Canada store. Praise science. Tracking shows we should have’em by October 10th, shipping out all orders from this store by the 11th, and getting a hefty box to the US store same day, so I reckon US orders will start moving after US Dave gets back from his Japanese tour, let’s say October 20th-25th. Thank you for your patience on this one, the plant gave us a 4-week swing window with a guarantee and they were almost 4 weeks late from the end of the swing window. Crowning goes on tour in Japan next weekend! Expect US orders to over the next few weeks to be a bit delayed as US Dave lives his best life. I’d love to like…see a split or something from these bands.

It was announced yesterday via this music video premiere that the newest Venns EP is the latest/last in our 7” push (before this was Horsewhip + Yashira and then Crowning + Eyelet). As of now we have no more 7”s at any plant and nothing planned. More info will be coming but for now just know we did 220 7”s over two variants, they are in stock and ready to ship on May 9th, and this music video fucks.

The Crowning + Eyelet split continues to sell well, with the U.S. store already sold out of their green copies (but this store still has about 5 left) and thus now the yellow will deplete even faster. Two current screamo heavyweights with 15 years worth of playing between them have teamed up for a new split 7” with two new songs from each band. Chicago’s Crowning have been a ZBR staple since their debut EP in 2017 carrying the mathy/sludgy/heavy torch, while Baltimore’s Eyelet are approaching a decade as a band and released one of the best records in a very long time with their ‘The Devil Shining Out Your Eyes’ (being played in full at this year’s ZBR Fest…along with an Eyelet/Crowning battle set!!!). Crowning’s two songs can be listened to alongside the Naedr split songs as they were all written under the same theme, while Eyelet’s jams are standalone bangers. Co-released on The Ghost Is Clear Records.
