Coup D’etat has arrived!!! Holy fucking shit. After taking a little longer to press than expected, the 7” lathes were shipped, sat in limbo for over 6 weeks, and were then returned to the plant. They just arrived on Wednesday evening and now all the orders have gone out! Happy days. They are playing the upcoming Taking Tiger Mountain show in Victoria, and speaking of TTM, (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))) premiered their first single off their upcoming cassette/cd EP releasing October 23rd, 2026 but they’ll likely have copies in hand at the show! Click on this text for the full premiere.

A quick little reminder that I’ll see ya Monday for the Surprise surprise. Yay!!! 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. I recommend NOT being late.

Jisei announced their release show for ‘Gets Worse’ which I’ll be at cuz I playin Cadere. We should have the 12”s in hand for the release. I am so fucking stoked for this one! Check out the new song/music video below.

This Noise Is Ours reviewed the Rainmaking/Senza split (which I call the Rainza split 12”). These have moved well and are definitely well past half sold out. Snag a copy and while you’re at it pick up Senza’s ‘Celestial Body’ before everything released by Senza and Rainmaking totally sells out. Click on the pic above or this text for the review. Jam/buy below!

Avery Friedman has a new song and music video for “You Move”. A friendly reminder that her debut 12”LP ‘New Thing’ is still available on two gorgeous variants! Video above, first LP below.

Operation X-Ray’s recent episode featured Monterey, Ghola, and Ambretta. The first two are already out, while the third will be coming out on cd later this year.

I thought I’d push my good friend Em’s A Mountain Far record label. They used to do vocals for Foxmoulder (last 7” copy is here!) and after resurrecting the label recently I came across both of these releases which rock. That Body Nest demo…goddamn!!! Click on the pic above for the merch page, or go directly to the bandcamp page below.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: FLESH BORN = Oh my god new Flesh Born!!! Check out the new record above and scope their ZBR Fest appearance below.

Okay folks, almost all of the Big Stuff Thing has been sent out (except for the two orders with Nuvo merges as I’m awaiting a box with more copies that arrives next week, as well as anything with the Coup D’etat lathe which is expected in late September).

Monterey is next and it’s a fucking bombshell. Featuring members of Concealer and Rosemary Nods Upon The Grave, the band has their own wild flair but is definitely for fans of Brahm, Beau Navire, Empathetic, and the like with a bit of Portraits Of Past thrown in for good measure. This 12”LP releases on September 18th via ZBR and Third House. Jam a single below!

Jisei’s full length album ‘Gets Worse’ releases on 12” via ZBR in November! This band is a beacon of hope while simultaneously crushing the listener. You can scope their first single and music video for “To Bury You Is To Poison The Earth” and catch them at a future date! Click on the pic above or this text to go to the premiere, with the direct embed to the music video below.

This Noise Is Ours reviewed the split between The Names Of Our Friends and Poetry Of Torch! This split is awesome and I’m down to like 4 copies left so snag one before they’re gone!!! Click on the pic above or this text for the review. Listen/buy below.

Senza, Rainmaking, and All That’s Left Of You made it onto last week’s Operation X-Ray episode from ultimate homie Andre. Radio show above, releases below!

Wellness got a song premiere on OMSB this past week, and the band includes members/ex-members of Heavenly Blue, Massa Nera, Liturgy, Kayo Dot, etc. That’s a hard recommend from me. Click on the text or pic above for the full premiere or just jam it below.

Today’s Last Fucking Copy goes to the blue variant of Senza’s incredible ‘Celestial Body’ 12”EP. If anything I’d want to repress ‘Even a Worm Will Turn’ before doing this so don’t expect these back in stock anytime soon after selling out. Snag this blue first press below or forever hold your peace.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: BODY NEST = My friend Em from Foxmoulder showed me this band cuz they’re releasing it on the recently resurrected A Mountain Far Records! Seriously dope-ass shit from Toronto, kinda Closet Witch meets screamo!!!
