Llewelyn’s ‘Disposable Culture’ released yesterday on Tomb Tree and we have a limited amount of tapes, including the bulk of the 20 swirled copies and all of the test dips. The band’s noise-rock is on the heavy side (there’s a lotta screamin’) and certainly dabbles in post-hardcore, packing all five songs with serious punch. Jam/buy below!

Othiel will follow Obroa-skai’s ‘Science Progresses One Funeral at a Time’ 12”LP, with the latter releasing November 17th and the former December 1st. Jam the two singles above and below this text, fans of Crowning will be fucking stoked.

The Quietus lay down some nice words about Closet Witch’s ‘Chiaroscuro’. Tomorrow we’ve got a surprise, two-song, lathe 7” limited to 100 copies (we’ll only have 50 though, and the band will have the remainder) dropping at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. It’s an absolute banger and the band played ZBR Fest 2022, blowing us all away. End of hints.

Riversleem got a premiere of their opening track from the forthcoming ‘A Second Release by Riversleem’ that drops September 25th on red 7” vinyl /100 Zegema Beach and the band. Big thanks to Borderline Fuckup for the premiere. That site has been poppin’ off lately. Love the anniversary posts they’ve been up to. Hey! If you have ever wanted to be a part of one of the grave, neighbors Halloween cover compilations that I do, this may be your last chance. To be honest each year it’s getting more and more difficult to get people to submit. Last year, some friends came through at the last minute and help me wrangle up some more songs, but this year it’s starting to look like i’ll have to do a bunch myself if I want to make a decent size compilation out of it. Anyway, if you have an unreleased recording of a cover song or would like to do one and can submit it by October 1, Let me know. I would love to continue doing this but if there’s no interest maybe I should just let it go.

2023 - 04 - 26 /// Carrion Spring falls :(

To those who know vocalist Adam in Carrion Spring this probably comes as little surprise, but the band has had to pull out of this year’s fest due to the health issues and the fact that the band was unable to practice for over a month. We are super sad but completely understand their circumstances and hope we can bring them to Chicago in the future <3 <3 <3

We’ve had some requests already to replace them, but as the day was actually overbooked this unfortunate circumstance has a silver lining where we now have the “correct” amount of bands. Thanks to anyone who inquired about playing, it’s an incredible reception this year. We are so fucking stoked.

Scenario is selling so fast we had to replenish the Canada/International store and it’s already back down to a single copy! Once they play ZBR Fest I fear all the labels and the band might sell out, they’re that good!!! Stereogum figured it out too, so click on this text or the pic above to go to their article.

Apostles Of Eris is set to play their first show in 7 fucking years, and the first as a full band. We’ll be performing “Pig Donovan” from this split that was just smeared across all platforms. A little late? You betcha!

Sometime in the mid-2000s David Norman came across the band LOFTUS and their immortal cd ‘Hugs and Drugs’. Hmmm… that isn’t really strong enough. David Norman became utterly obsessed with the California five-piece. And guess what? It never stopped, subsided, slowed, or even flickered. To this day the obsession continues on 500 stunning 12” records by Zegema Beach Records which release on Friday May 13th, 2022. The new ‘A Collection of Highly Unlikely Collaborations‘ cassette EP just released in full via Tomb Tree.
