Where to begin? Fuck white supremacy. Fuck the police. And fuck the governments and corporations that are the brains (ha) of the operation. Here at ZBR we wish a swift death to archaic and unjust systems that oppress, exploit and murder black lives. In addition to helping release quality music with themes that align with this message, we have some contributions in an effort to aid in the fight.
Yesterday we donated our digital bandcamp sales to Black Lives Matter. Throughout June we will be donating 100% of our digital proceeds to Black Lives Matter. In the first week alone we raised $275US and that was before we announced this…let’s see if we can raise $1,000 by the month’s end!
We decided to do something exciting that benefits both those receiving donations as well as those donating. So, we have set up 5 Wax Vessel auctions from the Daves’ person collections on E-Bay and 8 reverse-style auctions on this site, all for charity. Each day the reverse-style auctions will drop by the specified amount, so for example the NUVOLASCURA S/T test press 12” starts at $200 but depreciates at $25 a day, making it $175 on day 2, $150 on day 3, $125 on day 4, etc. until someone buys it. The full amount of the sale will go to charity but the shipping cost will obviously cover your shipping. Holy shit, Sean of Loma Prieta/Mare Island/Elle/Ysidro and Erik of Lord Snow/Lautrec came together years ago to begin the creation of this, the debut LP ‘Natoma’ by STORMLIGHT. These 11 songs are realized as collectively one of the most challenging, immersive and cathartic releases in recent memory. With Sean knocking out dense and emotionally stirring guitar/bass/vox and Erik laying down some of the best drums you’ll ever hear over the course of their 26-minute tenure. Vinyl and tapes come on very rare/sick variants. We are also doing a run of t-shirts that are on a made-to-order basis, with the window closing on June 13th, 2020. If ordering a shirt please indicate size in the order notes, only S / M / L / XL available. Shirts will ship the week of 6/22. This will be a split fountain print, so there will be some variation in its appearance. However, it's going to look much like this mockup, and awesome guaranteed.

A truly incredible leap from their seven-song release, ‘Sepulcher’ has the band firing on all cylinders, somehow managing to conjure up the chaos of .gif from god with the mood of Ostraca. EP of the year? Undoubtedly a contender. Label is variant is red swirl/100 and band is smoke/100, which SOLD OUT. So we now have the updated 2nd leg of the first press, which includes on green smoke and another 50 or stunning Chroma! Oops, now that’s sold out. Okay we got a new pressing, and I wouldn’t expect this leg to last long. And hey hey we also made some more tapes! The solo project of Secret Cutter and ex-Oktober Skyline drummer Jared Stimpfl’s ORPHAN DONOR debut tape LP ‘Old Patterns’ is like a lazerbeam through the skull. Citing incantations of late 90 and early 2000s screamo, emo-violence and metalcore, the full length catapults the listener through some seriously incredible, unpredictable and downright trippy extreme music.
