Five long years after their last full length album, Iowa’s Closet Witch are back with 13 liquefying tracks known collectively as ‘Chiaroscuro’. Following a health scare, the four-piece return with their most visceral and simultaneously most epic. Songs like “Constantly Problematic“ and “We Met On the Park Boundary Trail“ are pure carnage, while “You, Me and My Venus In Decay“ and “To the Cauldron“ employ massive, imposing, and deliberate destruction. Zegema Beach Records Fest Mid-West 2022 was a resounding success! There was so much positivity and love in the air while EVERY (stop) FUCKING (stop) BAND (stop) KIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLED IT. I just arrived back in Canada and am still riding high off these endorphins (and delirium via lack of sleep) but please note that we’ll definitely do this again next year, likely in early-mid May! USofDave shot some seriously killer footage with help from Wyatt and Brian H. that will go up…let’s say late June or July. CanaDave also shot a song from each band and will post them on his (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))) blog after the professional stuff is posted.

To everyone who came out and showed support from around the world, thank you. What a truly A++++ experience and testament to the screamo scene.
