This release has been sitting/waiting for years. First there was no label. Then were was Covid. Then members had to move countries. Then we had to wait for the tapes. Then we dipped the tapes. Then we shipped the tapes. They took nearly four months to arrive. So now...it is time. All that effort, work, and dedication can be shelved and everyone can bask in the beautiful, soothing, tranquil sounds of New Zealand's SALTMARSH and Japan's GALLERY SIX. Four new songs from each project to bring your brain back out to nature, relax, and smile. 100 tapes spread across the bands and Softseed Music exist, with the label taking 15.

After releasing some absolutely scorching screamo/emo-violence, the Peruvian six-piece has chilled out and moved into mathy, poppy, emo/rock with a few screamo remnants. This brand new ‘EP’ houses four tracks of ever-evolving, constantly shifting, and ear-pleasing goodness that sounds a bit like a more accessible The Mars Volta with two vocalists. Incredible melodies and harmonies with some seriously twisting instrumentals, this is a very unique release with a very digestable runtime. Releases in full October 31st, 2022.

CanaDave did an Out Past the Rings for the sold out People’s Temple Project and Sleeper Wave split 12” that came back out in early 2019. Incredible split and definitely not the last stuff from PTP as they told me they have stuff in the pipeline!

***With Terry Green playing the 2022 New Friends Fest and everyone being long sold out of 12”s, the band asked me to make some tapes. Voila! These beauts are very limited and go on sale this Tuesday at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST.

***Well if Tuesday at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST is a thing we might as well run with and release our Ensa 12” ‘アラガウ + Demo‘ simultaneously this August 9th, 2022. Japanese screamo/emo-violence/hardcore/neo-crust with a heavy emphasis on “dark” and “pulverizing”. We got 80 copies of this 250 pressing.

***Boxes are still en route for Cara Neir inserts (US bound) and Piri/Euclid/Cara vinyl (Canada bound) so if your order hasn’t shipped…that’s why. The Cara Neir inserts were delayed by the US post so there’s nothing we can do there. CanaDave was on vacation until recently so we purposefully shipped the vinyl box to Canada to show up upon his arrival back home. If tracking is to be believed all the Canada orders should be out by August 11th except Euclid which arrives on the 15th.

The (((((OPENmind/SATURATEDbrain))))) blog posted a massive review of the Blind Girls show in Kitchener/Waterloo at The Button Factory on July 28th, 2022. The Australian band’s full set is posted along with a full set from Yearning and single-song videos from Sonagi, Botfly, and Basque. We made some beautiful swirl tapes for the tour and will posting ours on Saturday August 20th, our last day before a much needed 2-week breather. Cara Neir’s ‘Phantasmal’ is coming up very, very, VERY SOON. July 29th to be exact. We’ve got 150 of the primary variant, 100 handmades, and 25 wax mages going up at 9am PST / 11am CST /12pm EST. Only one copy of each variant allowed per order. 16 tracks of hardcore/grind/black-metal/chip-tune/noise/screamo bliss continue the 'Phase Out’ trilogy, this one being horror-themed and ominous as fuck. We’ve got a song premiere happening over the weekend and variant pics coming next week! Until then here are the variant names, which give you a good idea of what the wax might look like :)

ZBR Fest Mid-West 2022 videos from the June 11th Day 1 are officially rolling out as of today! First up is opener Scenario who put out a sick 12”EP on Zegema Beach and The Ghost Is Clear last year (which is still in stock and linked to this text) and although it’s a great fuckin’ EP, their live show was next level. That kind of energy is generally reserved for the locals on release night or a big band coming through on tour…not the opener. Those riffs are so fucking yummy.

There’s a really good review of the ‘Ritma’ full length by Piri Reis by the blog Junklist. All the labels sold out in a few days so we’ll be doing a repress as soon as possible. Thank you to everyone who bought a copy or even just took time to jam a song. We’ll be seeing this all over the Best Of 2022 lists for sure. Click on this text for the review.
