2023 - 02 - 07 /// Nhomme is coming

February 07, 2023 by David Norman

Nhomme is coming and you aren’t ready. I thought I was ready when it was sent to me, but I wasn’t. It’s so good. It’s so jazzy, obtuse, and unique. Never have I heard screamo so infused with jazz, post-rock, prog, general experimental rock, and it is sensational to boot. Monday February 13th we will release the cassette (in conjunction with Nhomme in Japan) across 146 cassettes but we’ll only be stocking about 40 as the band has the rest. Are they expensive? You betcha. Why? Good question! The short answer is initial shell issues, paints out of stock, shipping from and to Japan, ridiculously cool O-card slips, everything’s printed on very special paper, swirled bags, etc. so we’re looking at about $15-$20US but by golly it’s so worth it. We’ll get some promo pics up on Thursday :)

Embedded below is the track on a 4-way split cd (we have one in stock here!!!) that I first heard a few years back and initiated my love for the band and prompted me to email them about future material that has led us to this new release. Truly next level shit.

My Hair Is A Rat’s Nest released in full yesterday and we moved half of the tapes in the first 12 hours. The last release sold steadily until it was out and I predict this will do the same. You have 1-3 months, I reckon. Also, I didn’t even see this post initially but Stereogum caught wind of its release a few days back and posted about it so click on this text to go to said link.

As Nuvolascura continues to play shows we continue to sell their stuff. We are ridiculously low on everything Nuvo though, as all vinyl is out of stock and now the new album ‘As We Suffer From Memory and Imagination’ is now down to the final cassette and it’s a sexy prism swirl. After that we’ve got about 4 S/T tapes left and then that’s all she wrote! Listen to it here.

now sold out:
Eyelet new 12”
Sore Eyelids 12”
Blue Noise demo tapes #1 and #2

Hetta tape
Jeromes Dream tribute comp tape

This Noise Is Ours did another in the ZBR Roster Review series, unfortunately this stellar split 7” between Coma Regalia and Drei Affen are sold out in our stores and from Middle Man too, so I reckon everyone is probably out by now. We’ve released three things by Drei Affen now and every single one is sold out. If we get another release, take this as a guarantee that whatever it is won’t last long and you should hop on it. Click on this text to go to the review.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: KING SLENDER = This band released on ZBR about 250 releases ago and finally came out with their debut LP and it’s feckin’ sick.
