So first things first, supply chain issues and environmental factors (that are human caused) have really put us in a bind financially. We have lots of vinyl sitting at plants waiting for stamper replacements, lacquer shipments, and a general longer turnaround with more demand. We have a lot of cassettes stuck in transit across Canada due to human-initiated environmental factors (there we go) like massive flooding.

Due to the above setbacks, despite being promised by the plant to be in our hands on April 24th, 2021, Orphan Donor is still 125 copies short of being completely pressed. We email the plant regularly but rarely receive responses. We may need to cancel our order there if this persists. Just a heads up.

Also affected was the Minaret lathe that arrived in New York, was opened, then sent back to Russia immediately. We have been informed the box will be coming to Canada this time instead, hopefully bypassing the previous issues.

In good news, there will be a LOWER AUTOMATMION music video premiere tomorrow for “Ruiner” via Idioteq.com so be sure to hit that up around 6pm CST.

2021 - 11 - 25 /// Sorrytaking

Happy Thanksgiving? Fuck no. Have a mediocre Sorrytaking. These are stolen lands. Being a punk/diy label, it should be noted.

Last night CanaDave did some new dipping styles after realizing that the Ultimate Screamo Band 10” is one-sided. Looks like we’ll have a second/final swirl dipped 12” sale in December, followed by our only marbleized swirl (non-dip/these pictured 10”s) sale two weeks after, likely right before the year ends. Above are a few examples.

Also, we’re releasing the vinyl version of TO FORGET’s debut 12”LP on Monday, with Middle Man Records taking care of the tapes. It’s amazing. Check it out!!!

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: RED WATER = Lithuania’s best band recently released an EP. Hard recommend for fans of dark, heavy, European screamo.

2021 - 11 - 22 /// Swirl Series #1

Are you reading this before the drop? Well if so, good on ya. There will not just be Cassilis swirl 12”s going up for sale, we’ve also got Lessener, Drei Affen, Snag, and Yusuke+Lori!!! This first run is around 20 total copies and one of the products is the full swirl set of all five 12”s (and is the only way to acquire the ‘Death Doula’ /1 swirl).

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: BANDS = This band from Greece waited four years to drop 2020’s ‘In Public’ but it was totally worth the wait. Dark, piercing, metallic hardcore.

2021 - 11 - 20 /// Massive distro update tomorrow

1) Tomorrow at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST we will have a prodigious distro update that includes over 15 Nulajednanulanula 12”s and tapes of their newest album, a bunch of Middle Man cassettes (Living Conditions, Coma Regalia, etc.), Illuminate My Heart stuff (Mirin Bide split, comp tapes, etc.), Cara Neir 12”s, Past Forms 12”s, VLKN 12”s, Somn 12”s, and heaps of Dingleberry Records distro from Europe (including Radura, Zeit, Raw Grip, Hiraki, etc.) with almost every product showing up in both of our stores!

2) 24 hours after that (Monday morning) Casslis ‘Quitting 12” swirls /10 will be released. These will only be in the Canada/International store (aka this site).

3) On Tuesday there will be a song premiere for a new band that we have never worked with before, releasing their debut 12”LP on November 29th. So be on the lookout for that!!!

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: NULAJEDNANULANULA = You should probably check out this sick band from Czechia before the 12”s and tapes are released on our website. Incredible music and packaging is kind of the all-encompassing screamo experience. This is it.

2021 - 11 - 19 /// Marble swirl dipped 12"s

Wooooweeeee, tried our hand at dipping some already finished 12” vinyls with blank or screened b-sides and they turned out great! Expect 10 Cassilis swirl 12”s for 2014’s ‘Quitting’ to pop up on Monday in the Canada/International store at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST.

Cara Neir released ‘Pain Gel of Purification’ today on Tomb Tree Tapes, which is a break in the ‘Phase Out’ trilogy. We’ve got those tapes in our stores now, with the second installment of the trilogy already being at the plant for five months, we expect a summer 2022 release on 12” mage vinyl.
