Tomorrow is Kodan Armada Day!!!

In less than 24 hours the Kodan Armada ‘Collection’ 12” will go live (9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST) and we don’t expect it to hang around for long. In the ZBR stores you’re looking at around 75 smoke/40 splatter for the U.S.A. and 30 smoke/15 splatter in the Canada/International store.

I updated the Posters and CDs up to the letter T which includes: Transistor Transistor (poster), They And The Children (cd and posters), This Ship Will Sink (cd), Tusk (posters), Tony Danza Tap Dance Extravaganza (cd), Time In Malta (poster), Training For Utopia (cd), Trapdoor Fucking Exit (poster), etc.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: ONE DYING WISH = Italian screamo with a lotta heart. I heard this before it was released and ZBR almost helped out but we were just too strapped for cash at the time. What else to say? “Everybody fights. Nobody quits.”

CDs and Posters have been updated to S and include: Since By Man (poster), Storm{o} (cd), Scary Kids Scaring Kids (2-sided poster), Saves The Day (cds), Scissorfight (poster), The Sound Of Animals Fighting (dvd), Spitfire (poster), Shy Low (cd), The Start (poster), etc.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: GONEMAGE = The Cara Neir spinoff dropped another release this year, this time with 10-songs. We have a few copies of the debut EP in our store as we carry all of the Tomb Tree Tapes releases.

2021 - 10 - 13 /// Kodan Armada

First, shitty news. Minaret informed us that the box of lathes stopped in New York for some reason, lost weight, and was then sent back to Russia. We’re a little frustrated, and you should be too if you ordered one. If you’d like a refund we can totally do that. We’ll be doing one of two things (depending on the number and condition of returned records) either A) ship them to the Canada store first or B) make some new ones.

Lower Automation arrived in Canada today and all orders will be sent out by the end of the week!

CDs and Posters have updated to R and include: Q And Not U (cd), Raised Fist, Rats Into Robots (cd), Rye Coalition, Ravin (cds), Rhythm Of Black Lines, Republic Of Dreams (cd), Rufio, Rye Coalition (cd), Respire (poster), etc.

Another reminder that there are two poster homes now, poster1 aka #-M and poster2 aka N-Z because our store maxes at 200 products per page aka that’s a lotta posters!

New of the day is kinda also news of the year in the screamo (for me, at least) as we unveil the release of Kodan Armada’s discography on 12” vinyl /300. This is a co-release with Miss The Stars (Europe) and Illuminate My Heart (U.S.) and goes on sale October 18th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: BURIAL ETIQUETTE = Thunder Bay, Ontario emo/screamo. I can’t get enough of this band. They started out sounding like Bright Calm Blue and has evolved into something so much more.

2021 - 10 - 08 /// Toques all shipped, most US Lower Automation shipped

Test Box #4 goes up at 9am PST (about 10 minutes from the time of this post!), toques all shipped (there’s one left in this store), LA shows up next week at the Canada store, with the U.S. store banging out over 70% of their orders already, we just paid for the 12” 6-way split, aaaaaaaaand Karloff released yesterday - tapes should ship early November.

Posters and CDs updated to O, including: On Broken Wings (poster), Okoru (cd), Oxbow (poster), Over It (cd), The One AM Radio (poster), Old Canes (poster), etc.

Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: GONEMAGE = One of many solo projects from Garry Brents aka the Cara Neir instrumentalist. This Cara Neir related project continues with the video game and chip-tune black metal that the band established on the ‘Phase Out video game trilogy’ but will continue to follow the theme on future endeavors via this project. We still have the first Gonemage tape in our store but it’s moving fast!
