Zaffle raffle tickets

What is the Zaffle? The Zaffle is a raffle contest where you can buy tickets to win 12” mages, 7” mages, stupid fancy vinyl, 12” handmades, and then 12” and 7” test presses (raffled off in that order). Once you win something, the rest of your ballots will be removed. The tickets are open to purchase now (linked under this text) and close on Sunday at 6pm PST when the draw is held live on instagram. Winners will be contacted by email and only pay shipping UNLESS you are coming to ZBR Fest in which case you will not be charged shipping and can just pick it up there.

What is The Vault? This will be a product page of out-of-print stuff and rare stuff that includes all of the cassettes, maybe some cds, as well as 12”, 10”, 7”, and 5” vinyl. These things will just be posted as regular products in a new tab (at the top of this page next to “Zegema Beach Releases”) that will appear on Saturday April 1st at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST and will close on Sunday at 12am PST, with the tab becoming inactive.

CanaDave did the final Out Past the Rings for one of his own projects, the last мятеж release ‘Riot/Mutiny’. A single dipped tape will be going up in The Vault this Saturday if you want a shot at something that’s been sold out for almost 4 years.

***CanaDave forgot to mention a few things, primarily about the opening track “June and July, Life Over Die” was originally recorded as part of the 4-song demo that was dispersed over some comps. I always knew my vocals could be better than the original and Jesse helped elevate the song to what we did live with dual vocals, as it was probably our favorite live jam. The song is about overcoming alcoholism. “Redacted” also has Jesse doing vocals who nailed the super gutteral stuff at the beginning of the song. The death of this band led to me officially joining Jesse as a vocalist for Apostles Of Eris.

2023 - 03 - 28 /// Life's Demo 3 on Friday!

Life’s groundbreaking ‘Demo 3’ was released back in 2020 but finally sees the light of day on beautiful orange 12”s this Friday! We’ve got the majority of the copies, and you’ll find more at Larry Records, Icorrupt Records, and Voice Of The Unheard Records. More info and proper promo pics coming soon!

Lucidity took off as we were hoping. It’s just so fucking good. We sold well over 50% in 24 hours (more like 75%) so don’t expect them to hang around much longer!

Alright so looks like Saturday April 1st and Sunday April 2nd will be the official two days that THE VAULT will be open for. It will end at 6pm PST on April 2nd when CanaDave will host the first and likely last ZBR Zaffle (that’s raffle with a Z and yes it does look stupid). THE VAULT will contain lots of long sold out ZBR stuff including super rare stuff that Dave was unnecessarily holding onto (including cassette test dips), while the raffle will include all of the golden items like test presses, handmade records, and wax mages. Lucidity was posted about on Stereogum mere hours after it’s release. Probably 1) because it’s so sick and 2) because it’s so short, lol. Lucidity’s ‘The Minsk Sea’ is out. We love this album so goddamned much it’s nuts. But we also suffer from confidence issues, so if these 100 sell out we’ll press more. This band is ex-Smile To The Wind and have officially released a contender for album of the year, despite the entire thing fitting on one side of a 12”.

On Saturday April 1st and 2nd (no it’s not an April Fool’s joke) the Canada/International store (this one) is opening THE VAULT. What the heck is that? Well, good question. CanaDave has been uhhhhh…let’s say a “collector” (hoarder is more accurate) and kept one of every variant ever made for every Zegema Beach, Tomb Tree, and Softseed Music release. As we approach 500 releases CanaDave’s house is nearing maximum capacity, and with an impending mortgage refinancE - it’s now or never. The store will be open for the entire weekend aaaaaaaand it should be noted that the sale includes free shipping if you are coming to ZBR Fest 2023 in Chicago, just state in the NOTES section that you would like a shipping refund and will pick up the stuff in Chicago and I’ll refund you within 24 hours. But Dave what’s going to be available? Well, pretty much at least one variant of every release ever, including mages, test dips, test presses, rare variants, personal distro, and more!
