I'm back + Empathetic cds on Fri!

Alright, I’m back! Ontario was awesome but I’m very happy to be home and back at this. A few notes:
- all shipping will be finished today except for Coup D’etat orders and Constrain orders
- EU shipping to those 12 countries that introduced tariffs are still fucked and I cannot ship anything to you until it gets sorted between our governments/postal services
- Coup D’etat 7”s are currently MIA as our package has had no updates since July 18th so I’m just twiddling my thumbs until it gets updated, or better yet, they arrive
- Constrain tapes are in hand and pretty much done, I’m just waiting for the swirl paints to dry then I gotta stamp them, those will be shipped off by Monday
- Empathetic cds release on Friday (which is also Bandcamp Friday so please consider picking up extra stuff and/or getting some digital albums
- ZBR U.S.A. opens up later this month, news incoming

The next ZBR release is in a mere two days and it’s the one and only Empathetic release, their debut/post-mortem EP ‘The Room Collapses Quietly’ on 100 cds. There are two current singles from the past two Zamplers that you can jam above and below - they’re very Beau Navire meets Brahm and it’s fucking incredible. Features a member of Thank You Driver too!!!

Aron from Clay Birds interviewed me for a school project a few months back and I saw it yesterday and was reminded how good the questions were, so I asked if I could share it as I think every answer I gave was new. It’s about 30 minutes in length.

Today Last Fucking Copy goes to my final copy of Brahm’s second EP from 2022 ‘i try to rage against it’. I just sold the second last one last night so this extremely rare gold swirl /13 is officially the final copy! Lathes are also sold out!!! I don’t expect this to be repressed. Over two years ago we released a short run of demo tapes titled ‘It Is’, and after much more writing, polishing, and expanding of the VIRGIN MOTHER sound, we are set to drop the brand new debut 12”LP ‘Mourning Ritual’ on Friday October 17th. Drawing cues from industrial, new wave, black metal, noise, screamo, punk, post-punk, and more, this deep, dark look into Seb’s subconscious and it’s subsequent artistic representation is truly a work of art. From the hellish, eerie, almost gothic-sounding intro of “[promised end]“ it becomes obvious that this album is meant to be consumed in full, with spiking adrenaline surges (see “I’d Never Feel Like Anything” and “Fault”), soothing/groovy vibes (“Traffic Stop” and “Black Light On 16th Street“), uncomfortable noise (“Vanity’s Sake“ and “Parasite“) and the epic genre-mashes (“Blossoming Winter” and “Field of Warmth“). Orphan Donor’s ‘Unraveled’ has finally finished and is…perhaps…worth the wait? You tell us! We’ll be shipping these out between now (Canada store) and mid-late March (U.S. store) but you’ll find a few in the March 12th rebalance aka BIG STUFF THING #2!!! There’s still a few splatter left…but very, very few.

Earlier today ‘I try to rage against it’ was released on 7” lathe and cassettes by the amazing band known as Brahm. We’ve also posted three sets in the Canada/International store in case you missed out on the last EP too. Truly an exceptional (albeit short) screamo EP.

Brahm’s new EP ‘I try to rage against it’ releases tomorrow March 4th, 2022 at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST on 105 tapes (we have 75, Illuminate My Heart the other 30) and 50 x 7” lathes (ZBR exclusive).

Surprise! The new Blind Girls 12”LP ‘The Weight of Everything’ just dropped a premiere of the opening jam via Brooklyn Vegan! We’ve been on the Blind Girls train since they recorded their breakout ‘Residue’ many a year ago and we pressed the 1st and 2nd rounds. ZBR is opting out of pre-orders and ours will go live on March 26th, 2022 to coincide with the digital release.

I have to keep telling people, so here it goes again March 12th is the next rebalance. March 12th. 2022. 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST so many mages, tests, sold out releases and general euphoria.

Out Past the Rings #102 went up today for the ‘Yarrow’ 4-way 10” split between Coma Regalia, Nuvolascura, Ostraca, and Untold Want. Copies still available here!
