Zegema Beach Records is making a rather obvious announcement...the next country in the 4-country/8-way split 2x12" is CANADA. Perhaps a bit less obvious is the band, which is THE WORLD THAT SUMMER. This is the band that Dave (ZBR) does vocals for but were not the first choice for the split, as Congratulations was ready and willing but lineup shakeups (such as a member moving) caused a switch to be necessary. The World That Summer has 7 recorded songs, with the first three appearing on a split cassette with Apostles Of Eris, another on a split 7" with Nionde Plagan and the remaining songs on the 8-way. The band just updated their bandcamp with a new song from the split tape (linked here) called "Some Guy Named Gabbo". ZBR is now stocked up on The World That Summer shirt in S/M/L/XL as well as the 'Caddac' cdr that includes the three songs from the split cassette along with a bonus live track called "The Standard Gravity of Impending Doom" - oh, and it's limited to only 35 copies, and that's including the band copies! The next Canadian band will be revealed next week when we post more updates. So, thus far:
