Following a quick demo EP in 2023, Ashville, North Carolina’s four-piece SERRATE bunkered down and rote a bunch of songs which ended up being this debut LP ‘even the wind sounds dead’, and what a debut!!! The razor-sharp screams (not unlike Jacob Bannon) coupled with instrumentals (that fall somewhere between Orchid and Crossed) create a visceral-yet-melodic equilibrium that will simultaneously lull and crush you into submission. Whether it’s scorchers like “the crushing weight of failure” and “what god meant by mercy”, the epic and volatile “rise and fall” and “kill for the ones you love”, or the gorgeous interlude “not a single word was spoken”, there’s not a single snoozer on this phenomenal 10-song full length. This is a co-release with Bitter Melody Records.

12”LP /220, 155 on red & 65 on mucus green vinyl, and 20 tests, each with lyrical insert (except the tests). 10 songs.
