This new album from Vancouver Island's ultimate percussionist Max Patterson is mind-blowing. Pulling from the Zach Hill realm of drumming (aka absolute ridiculousness and non-stop jaw droppery), this release pairs him with poet/vocalist J.P. Meldrum giving the songs a more cohesive structure that is adorned with ornate lyrics that cascade like an emotional waterfall. Seeing this stuff live is literally life changing. Pressing on 200 cassettes (but we'll only have 30). Released on Tomb Tree.
