This new French metal/blackened screamo band's debut EP is both crushing and mesmerizing, creating a lush nightmare to get lost in. Opener “La terreur et l'ennui“ crosses many bridges, building a gorgeous atmosphere that eventually ends in destruction, subsequently “Que plus rien ne demeure” reveals the band’s most evil and sinister side. The lead single “Le festin des décadents” really showcases Naufraage’s versatlie yet crushing style with an extra slab of post-hardcore/math rock, and closer ”Grand Salon“ is truly grand and epic, with a hint of hope.
