For fans of: Squirrel Flower, Laura Stevenson, and Nova One

Following up on our 12” lathe release of ‘Teeth’, Jeni Magana (Pen Pin, bassist for Mitski) released the ‘you are not a morning person’ album in 2020 and as Softseed has been steadily releasing her back catalogue, it is time. This album boasts a ton of additional instrumentation including synth, saxophone, trumpet, drums, guitar, bass, etc. in addition to Jeni's ridiculously breathtaking vocals. The songs range from haunting beauty ("Face in a Locket", "Stay A While") to playful melodies with a lot of backbone ("Who Am I", "Morning Person"), with no two songs sounding alike while they all are unmistakably Magana. Released on Dave’s other other label Softseed Music. This is SSM040

12” stereo lathes /20 on black, includes download code.
