For fans of: Touche Amore, The Killing Tree and In Pieces.
The DIVERS EP was a pleasant surprise. From Malaysia, these guys land somewhere between melodic post-hardcore and metalcore from the early 2000s with gruff vocals and some serious throwback cred. This style has generally been done to death but this is very refreshing. I should note that 'metalcore' seems fitting but does this band an injustice - it's more of an influence which sometimes flops over into raw street hardcore riffs. I'm confused too. Wait, listen to "Quit" and you'll probably get it. Fans of heavier In Pieces and Thrice as well as Touche Amore, Kid Dynamite, Snapcase and The Killing Tree should take note.
