***Dead Buttons***

For fans of: The Plastic Day, Mirrorhouse and Tricky Woo.

Seoul, South Korea's post-punk/garage-rock is an interesting listen in a sea of plastic Kpop. Along with some other very interesting bands (mainly Hollow Jan, Apollo 18 and The Plastic Day) they break the mold and play an alcohol-fueled and southern-tinged brand of aggressive rock'n'roll meets punk. There's nothing groundbreaking internationally going on here, but they play their style well and are very comfortable in their musical skin. Formed in 2012, DEAD BUTTONS play an eclectic mix of strong, 60-70s rock, indie/garage rock, punk, country, hardcore, alternative and grunge with some strong/accented vocals. There's a lot of sass and I feel like this could easily show up in Kill Bill 3. "Nothing But You" is a vocal-laden track that doesn't rely so much on the instrumentals save the palm-muted guitar that reinforces the singing, but the remaining songs are generally much stronger and "Witch" hits with a power
